I wanted to go on a toy run today but ended up being too busy so I just made a quick stop at Target this afternoon to get some stuff. Out of habit, I took a look through the toy aisle and saw that they restocked some B37 figures. A quick glance-over showed that they were already picked out since I could only see Randy Orton and Ryback figures among a whole bunch of leftover B36 Punks.
I was about to leave when I noticed one Basic figure tossed down on the shelf below the pegs, next to the Brawling Buddies. I like to put figures back on the pegs so I grabbed it and discovered it was Zeb Colter!
At first, I thought he was left behind because he has the plain brown facial hair but upon closer inspection, the top corner of the blister had been peeled open. It looks as if someone bent the card so much that the corner opened slightly or they were just about to rip him out of the packaging to steal him but wasn't able to get away with it. Either way, it was a nice score for me, and I open all my figures anyway, so I grabbed him!
At the register, though, he wasn't scanning in right and only came up as "Not in the System". Fortunately, the lady at the register didn't want to make the checkout line wait for a price check and guesstimated that he was worth $10. So I finally found Zeb and got a cool deal on him, too...Not bad for a quick peek in Target!
