I know I will get blasted by some folks but I'm glad he is gone. Worst character in the whole of WWE.... ever. Not liking him is fine....but to say worst character ever? In a company that has seen characters such as red rooster, max moon, Aldo Montoya, Saba simba, repo man, gobbely gooker to name a few is just asinine.

It's actually just deluded on your part, and his part too, if that's the way he thinks. There has never been a WrestleMania where CM Punk's match should have gone on last instead of what did, and there has never been a WrestleMania where CM Punk should have replaced anyone in a main event match or been added to a main event match. The only even remotely possible exception to this is if WrestleMania 27 had been a four-way with Punk and Orton added, and even then... The Rock interacting with Cena was the real main event, so Punk and his deluded fans would've still complained that he was being held down because he was portrayed as less important than The Rock and John Cena. Well Punk/'Taker should've gone on last, instead of the trashy match that closed the show last year. That match should've also been a triple-threat match... not only was it the most logical choice, at least Punk would've been able to save it from becoming the sh*t-show it turned out to be. The closing match of WM 27, should've been Cena and Punk - end of story. Miz should've been nowhere near a main-event of WM, and everybody - you included, knows it. I'm sick of all these deluded Punk fans. They act like he is the greatest thing to ever walk the earth when in reality he was nothing more than a supporting player in the WWE. He had his year long reign, he had matches with the Rock, he was in a title match at a WM. People act like the WWE is at fault when they did more for him than he deserved. Bottom line is he was a "B+" star, as HHH would put it, who thought he was bigger than he was. He was never the #1 face of the company, never was the #1 merch seller, and was never the face of the company. This isn't like Austin walking out in 2002 because Austin had a legit claim to still being the #1 guy in the company who was being wasted in pointless midcard feuds. Punk was still being featured in top storylines and threw a hissy fit because he wasn't the final match at WM. Punk had a great career and people need to accept that and stop acting like the WWE treated him like crap. He was never allowed to be. When it became apparent that he was getting close to Cena's spot, they poured cold water on him. He actually was the top merch seller for a brief period, so - just like pretty much everything else you posted, you're wrong about that too. He was given every opportunity to be the top guy. He received a title reign that lasted well over a year. The WWE realized that he was never going to be the draw that Cena is and placed him in the #2 spot. He may have been the top merch earner for a very brief period but that most likely was due to his new shirt coming out before Cena's. Punk did nothing to improve ratings while he was champ (they actually went down overall) and anyone who thinks Punk vs Cena or Punk vs Rock is bigger than Cena vs Rock are delusional (which Punk appears to be). I like Punk. Entertaining guy but he was too into himself and thought he was better than he was. Not only was he not the top draw in the company, but his bad attitude was a big reason why he didn't get further than he did. I'm not a supporter of the WWE's overall booking but the guy was given every chance to succeed and was booked in a high profile feud w/ HHH going into WM (whether he was going to win or lose we'll never know for sure) and threw a hissy fit. Vince didn't lose any sleep over Punk walking out and someone else will step into Punk's role (Bryan).

Talking Dead is neither the time nor the place to talk about wrestling and I'm pretty sure Punk will avoid any mention of the WWE during his appearance. I hope the audience do the same. Honestly, sounds like typical rumor mill BS. If Punk had anything to say publicly I bet he would have already on Twitter. That or gone on Colt Cobana's podcast or Stone Cold's or Jericho's. Don't forget good ole J.R.

That match should've also been a triple-threat match... not only was it the most logical choice, at least Punk would've been able to save it from becoming the sh*t-show it turned out to be. All nonsense, completely fueled by fanboyism. Cena vs Rock II was a bigger match than a triple threat with CM Punk (who had already wrestled Cena a million times in the two years prior, and had just wrestled Rock twice), and was a far bigger match than CM Punk vs Undertaker.Again, nonsense. The Miz was on fire throughout 2009 and 2010, and was by far the right man for the WWE title that year. CM Punk was a commentator and leader of the lame New Nexus leading into that WrestleMania. And if Punk had been in that spot, his deluded fans (and himself, if he's as stupid as them) would've cried that he got pushed into the background by the Cena-Rock feud. Plus, if Punk had been the champion at that event, then his storyline at Money in the Bank that year would've never happened and he'd have either left that summer to no fanfare, or had a career like The Miz has had for the last three years. This is what I disagree with. Cena/Rock II was the bigger match? Who honestly thought that? What I remember was that fans weren't interested in it and the match didn't live up to what ever expectations it possibly had. "Once in a Lifetime" turned into "Twice in a Lifetime." Nobody needed to see this match twice. Punk/Taker was the best match on the show. And the crowd was into it. Miz, on the other hand, never seemed to work as champion. He was (still is) boring in the ring, annoying at promos, and got lukewarm reactions. Miz never should have held that title.

From what I recall the rumor was Punk vs Cena in the main event for the longest time till they decided to pull the trigger on Miz cashing in.
Watching the TV around that time you had Cena feuding with Punk and the Nexus till Miz wins and then at The Rumble the two switch feuds with Punk and the Nexus going after Orton.

To be very direct. CM Punk on Talking Dead will NOT feature him talking about Anything other that the Walking Dead.
The last time he was on the show that was all that was addressed, this time it won't be any different.
As for Punk walking out on the WWE - The true story will probably never come out, same as the Montreal Screwjob (which I have always felt was the biggest work in the History of wrestling). Punk not only walked out on the company that has been more than generous in terms of how they compensate him, they have also handed him a career that most guys would kill to have.
When Punk walked out I lost a lot of respect for him. He has always claimed to be the "Voice of the Voiceless" and as soon as things didn't go the way he wanted he took his ball and went home.
I hope that the next person who gets handed that spot is more appreciative of the position they are in. Quite simply as long as John Cena is active no one else is going to be the number one guy.

first of all, i dont really think the WWE cares about what Punk is doing. if they were so mad at him, they would release him from his contract and be done with it. he's still on the roster page, his merchandise is still being sold. no one has ANY idea what is going on with this situation
HOWEVER
it is kind of weird that Punk is doing this considering the fact that what happened after Rumble is like the biggest wrestling controversy in a long time, and considering he has not said a word to anyone about anything related to this at all....he's gonna go on another TV show like nothing is happening. it's just.....odd

There ypu go they just had a commercial for tonight's guests. He was listed/mentioned as "CM Punk" Wrestler
So that will probably be how Hardwick introduces him. No controversy. Just the same as any other guest.

Can you blame them? It's completely unprofessional, he should consider himself extremely lucky that he's not being sued for breach of contract. Vince is obviously a much better person than people give him credit for. Either Vince is such a great person or knows the money he'd make on a CM Punk return 2 days..weeks...months...years would be more than what he'd earn on suing him

He said nothing about the WWE, as expected, but seemed to take a subtle and under the radar swipe at the WWE when he said he's a whole new person and all about forgiveness towards the end of the show. Interesting...

He was initially introduced as "Phil Brooks aka CM Punk", but as the show progressed, they pretty much dropped "CM Punk" all together. He was always addressed as Phil.
I, too, thought he took an indirect shot at WWE when he said he was a "new person all about forgiveness", or something along those lines. But then again, it seemed to be an inside joke between he and Yvette.
Needless to say, the appearance wasn't noteworthy. He barely got a word in.
To my knowledge, though, Punk has never really appeared publicly using his real name. To me, that's more telling than anything. If he's officially letting the public in "behind the curtain", that would almost seem to indicate that he's done with "CM Punk" entirely, at least for the time being.
They still promoted him with the @ CMPunk Twitter handle at the end of the show, though (whereas Yvette Nicole Brown was "can be seen each week on Community.")

He didn't have much to say this time on the show. I was hoping someone would have asked him who in the WWE he thought would survive in the zombie Apocalypse and who wouldn't. But nobody other thank Hardwick asked him a question this time.
