I don't know if this is something you can really learn this way, but I'll give it a shot.
Take 2 pieces of fabric that are pants-shaped and slightly larger than your figure needs to be. sew them together with the outside part on the inside, leaving the top (waist area) and bottoms (ankle area) open so you can put them on your figure. A sewing machine would provide the best look, but you could possibly do it by hand. On the top part of the pants and end of the legs, fold the ends and sew them (like hemming pants- ask your mom?) then turn the pants inside out. Hope that made sense to you, its kind of hard to describe.
