Worst figure is every fig without stomach hair. That stuff makes any figure classic.

Most swaggers. The scale is often out by a long mile, the scans are always lacking and they just never look all that good. He seems to be one of the hardest to capture, jakks struggle as much if not more.

Skinny, hardly any definition in his face makes him look young.
E6 Matt Hardy
Purely for the scan. It looks like a pre-RealScan TTL figure.
Royal Rumble Heritage HBK
Another one purely for the scan. That's gotta be one of the ugliest representations of HBK's face I've ever seen (and Mattel have made plenty of bad ones). His head is all boxy.
Legends 2 Snuka
What the hell was this?
Basic 2 CM Punk
This was our only shot to get an early era ECW Punk at the time, and the stars on his trunks had such wonky placement. Just threw it off completely, in my opinion.
DM Triple H
Baggy bright blue clothes with no actual jean texture. Jakks did way better with this look. Ugly scan too, but it resembles him at least.
E22 Tensai
Just...bleh. Weird torso, biker shorts for some reason, worse kneepads than the Basic. Cool entrance stuff, though.
Hardcore Kane exclusive
Super lazy effort on this one. Skinny, mesh detail was lacking, and the Hardcore title was just so damn cheap looking. Look at the R3 figure - much better.
General figures include any HBK with that lumberjack beard, Caveman John Morrisons, most of the old Basic's Triple H figures with lemon-ass yellow hair. Oh, and any false gingers.

^ yeah... one figure that immediately springs to mind is the DM Triple H. The scan is so-so, but the baggy jeans are just awful... I know Mattel wanted them so you could take them off - but why not put Velcro going down the back of them (so they have the tight-fitting look)? Or just give him the molded jeans, like the DM Austin... either would have been better than Mr Baggy-pants.

Legends 2 pack Roddy Piper. Somebody mentioned earlier, no signature shirt or jacket which we totally could have gotten back then before the budget seemed to dry up. Also the "scan" is one of the biggest turds Mattel ever dropped. I'm disappointed because he is one of the all time greats and someone who was important to me and I still don't have a definitive Mattel of him. EG isn't really any better. Also, the torso is waaaay too thin.
Diamond Dallas Page is close to the same level of disappointment. Awesome vest, great subtle gradation on the stubble, detailed tights and tats, but seriously, who is that supposed to be in that lemon yellow wig? It ain't DDP.

But the Elite 23 is absolutely awesome. I have nothing wrong with it other than the paper flag and maybe the leg wraps Yea elite 23 head to toe was good. The headscan was unreal. The torso choice was great, but the leg wraps should've been painted on, but nonetheless still a great fig Yeah the headscan couldn't be any better. That's not something that you can say with a lot of mattel figures. |

Latest Y2J Basic ( Looks noyhing like him )
