Can anyone tell me if you can remove the painted on wristbands and things like that from figures?
For instance CS9 Kamala, is there a way I can sand down the wrist bands, leg wrappings, and foot tape and get the paint off with out completely screwing up the figure? And once they're off do I apply sealer to fix any miscoloration in the plastic?
Also for figures like CS6 Earthquake and One Man Gang, that have the wristband mold, can I just sand those down and apply sealer?
If anyone has tried this and had it work out, it'd be great if you could post some pics. Thanks and any help is appreciated. Thanks again.

Try using Acetone. You can get it at any local Lowes or Home Depot. Just remember though, a little goes a long way. . . . don't slop it on. Just put a little on a rag and rub the paint off.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. +1. Now does anybody know if it's alright to actually sand down the mold and then seal it, or should just..not do that?

I've found that the best way to sand down smaller areas, like facial hair, is by using a nail buffer. They're just a few bucks, and you can get one in any drug store. Basically, it's a nail file with 4 sides, and 6 or 7 different levels of roughness (??). Use the coarsest side to get the basic shape you want, and work your way down to the finest section of the buffer. When you use the "shine nail" part of the buffer, the plastic should have a shine that's almost exactly the same as the rest of the figure. You might have to remove the hand to be able to get to the wristband, but you won't need sealer.

If I have to sand or scrape plastic I find a drop or two of super glue rubbed in restores the shine...
