I loved Dean Malenko, but to quote Gorilla Monsoon... "HIGHLY UNLIKELY!"

I'd definitely buy one. Not expecting to ever see it though.

Even if the Legends line was still going, he would be WAY down the line just like he was in the CS line. I think it was series 12 before he was made and at that time he was only a year or two removed from active wrestling and fresh in everyones mind. Highly unlikely he is made even if he is an employee of the WWE.

"id like to say, if they did ever make Dean I'd like this: that attire, with a Lightheavyweight Title. and for fun, throw on a plain black vest." Was watching Survivor Series 00 this morning and wondered that myself. Much like a thread I made about Billy Kidman with perhaps the cruiserweight title, I brought it up because of his backstage role. Unfortunetely the market just wouldnt be there for guys like Malenko & Kidman despite being excellent performers of their generation. Without a legends line they haven't a hope

Sounds like something that would end up in Legends 74 or something Wow... You think? Then I guess I'd still be collecting until Legends 74!

I highly doubt they would make him. He wasn't exactly known for his charismatic personality or flashy attire. He was just a great straight up wrestler. If they did make him I would definitely buy him.

Kinda looks like the Tully Blanchard figure. He'd need a new belt for crossover appeal. That's assuming people like belts they have no recollection of.

No they have too many Cena's to make and no time for anyone else. Much less someone who never wrestled Cena.

I'd buy one in an instant, but I sincerely doubt he'll get a figure.

Nope. His blurb would be "Dean Malenko feuded with Chris Jericho in WCW, then stood next to Chris Benoit in WWE." And I can't see them putting that on the back of an elite box. Although they made Tully Blanchard, so I guess they're not completely opposed to doing figures of boring guys.

I'm a fan of his, and would love to get a figure. Not sure what capacity he is working in for wwe, but if they can make him I hope they do down the road somewhere. The tough thing for Malenko and other guys on his level, is that we have Hogan, Flair, possibly Sting and if the HoF rumors are true, Scott Hall figures that will take up many of the future elite FB slots, and they should.

Not a chance. Even when he was in WWE, despite his being a stellar talent, he never reached higher than mid-card status, and never developed the cult following that some similar wrestlers of his time eventually did.
