So on Smackdown this week, the New Age Outlaws lay out the Shield with the help of Kane, so it seems like it will be The Shield vs Kane and the Outlaws at Mania. Of course this isn't a confirmed match, but it seems that's what they're going to do at this point. Am I the only one that thinks this is a horrible decision? After The Shield has defeated every top star in the company, I don't see the Outlaws as viable opponents at all, especially at Wrestlemania. It seems they were building (perfectly) for months to a Shield breakup and seemingly a match at Wrestlemania, but now they've randomly dropped it (probably because they don't want two triple threats on the show). Thoughts?

I like it. Who else are The Shield going to face in a 6 man tag match? They clearly want them to be babyface anti-heroes for the foreseeable future, so a 6 man tag match is their only option.

I think this is a horrible decision. All 3 members of The Shield deserve a big match at Mania, not a match against 3 past their prime attitude era stars. For me the WrestleMania card just got even worse (assuming this match gets made official).

They should have saved the Wyatt family for the shield if the plan was to keep them together and move Cena into something else. Not exactly sure what though

I am guessing Ambrose will turn on the other two at Mania still. The only reason they turned face is so Ambrose could turn back heel and the other two could stay face.

I mean last year they had Orton, Sheamus, and Show and now they are facing 3 way past their prime stars when they themselves are even more established!.. WTF? |

I think this is a great idea. I'm excited for the match. The Shield shouldn't be broken up. There's nothing for anyone except Reigns to do if the Shield breaks up.
There are two problems I have with posts like these:
1. A lot of the same people that constantly complain about the PG Era and aggrandize the Attitude Era are many of the same who will complain about Kane and NAO being in this match because "their old".
2. A lot of the people who can't wait for the Shield to break up now will be complaining when the split fails in several months. "Who thought it was a good idea to split up The Shield?"

I would have loved for the Wyatts to got at it with the Shield again at Mania......all of their matches have stolen the show.......and that's probably why they didn't want it on the WM card....

The irony being that the Shield have had great great six man tags for the last 18 months and at the biggest show of the year they are being out against possibly the worst three man team they've fought which will not be that great of a match.

I only approve if this means we finally get to see green/black D-X Kane.
I've been saying it for a while and will keep on doing so: Shield vs Wyatts TLC match at WM with the US belt hanging above the ring.
Stick Cena with Hogan vs NAO. Or let him win the Andre Memorial Battle Royal so he can lug the trophy around for the next year (like Owen used to do with his Slammies).
