Don't get me wrong this isnt one of those threads talking bout how I think Mania will suck, I'm actually pretty psyched for Mania so far. I was just thinking more along the lines of talents being underutilized now that hopefully will get their chance to shine again after some of the bigger names are gone again. (i.e. Triple H/Lesnar/Taker)
So to keep this interesting who do you see getting pushed after Mania, who would you like to see getting a push after Mania, who would you like to see go away? Try to stay away from the John Cenas/Batistas/Ortons obviously they arent going anywhere.
My picks -
Superstars being pushed after Mania
Roman Reigns - Its obvious they want Reigns to be the breakout babyface star once the shield splits.
Bray Wyatt/Wyatt Family - Seems like (and rightfully so) they want Wyatt to be a #3 heel prob behind only Batista/Orton
Cesaro - Should be a solid standout star either face or heel once they split the real americans.
Superstars I want to see pushed after Mania
Cody Rhodes - Depending on whether or not Goldust sticks around much after Mania, Rhodes was over pretty big as a face last summer, and needs to return to that spot.
Damien Sandow - This guy has great ring and mic skills, given the chance I think he'd be a great US/IC champion
Dolph Ziggler - This guy needs another push to the main event, hes got everything you'd want in a world champion, idk why he's in the spot he is.
Christian - Would love to see him get a decent heel push in the main event scene, just not the whiny cowardly christian, more like a smart/pick your spots intelligent heel christian, and I think his promos could compliment that well.
Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins - Both guys are amazing talents given the chance to shine. I soured on Ambrose in the fall but realized when he started doing things again it was just because he was barely wrestling/defending the US title. Would love to see these two dominate the tag team scene for a while if the rumors are true that they're heading for a heel tag team formation.
Bad News Barrett - This guy started off with what everyone thought was a terrible gimmick and has taken it to better places than we expected. This guy has excelled in all his incarnations (Nexus/Corre/Bare Knuckle Brawler) and his gotten stalemated every time with his push. The guy has the look and credibility, should be in the main event picture. I could see him being a dark horse main eventer almost like JBL how he came out of nowhere to be a successful threat to the title. If they can transform Bradshaw to JBL and make him a main eventer, Barrett should be super simple to do the same.
Superstars I want to see pushed (into obscurity)
Miz - I think CM Punk put it best in his documentary, that Miz was given the main event at Mania with no solid explanation. I've never been a fan of his for any lengthy period of time. He just doesnt seem like a credible competitor and his mic skills have gotten worse over the years to the point where he now seems irrelevant.
Jack Swagger - This guy has been given every opportunity to succeed, World Title Runs, multiple pushes with ECW/Vickie/Zeb and failed every time. With the amateur background this guy should be getting compared to Kurt Angle, instead if he left tomorrow not a single care would be given.
Big E - This guy has really hit a roadblock for me as a face. It started off good but then was given the IC title and hes done nothing with it. To me he's just another big guy with a severe lack of charisma.
Curtis Axel - Here's another guy who has proven absolutely nothing to me as to why he ever got pushed in the first place. He was bad in Nexus, he was boring during his tag title run with Otunga, He got put with Heyman and was made to like a star (to me only because Heyman made him credible) and still failed.
Feel free to give your thoughts.
