For me I have collected figures since way before the Jakks days. I used to be into it a lot but now a days I guess more so because my daughter likes to go hunting for a new Rey figure all the time. She like pushing them off the ladders through the tables lol

I...dont even know. Its expensive, potentially frustrating, and everyone yells at me about spending my money on toys lol. Seriously though, Mattel constantly makes great figures, the bastards.

For me it's to do something that makes me relax and get away from life. I've learn to just preorder everything so I don't have the stress of hunting it. Then I just enjoy looking messing around with them time to time. Cream my own stores and own universe.

For me I love to play with them.
Also I am really getting into the idea of customs and painting. So the more I buy the more parts I have for part swaps and cool accessories
And I am an avid collector. Once I find something I like I collect. I used to collect mcfarlane nhl,NFL,NBA but you really can't do much with them. So these figures are awesome because you can act out raw as you watch it keeps me entertained

I do it because I've collected since the LJN days back in the 80's. I skipped the Jakks stuff and when I saw the Mattel figures, I just knew I wanted them. So now, I just enjoy looking at them in my display case. I've enjoyed so many great wrestling moments over the years, that the figures remind me of how much I love wrestling.

It's fun. It's a link to my childhood. It's something that I can use to bond with my children. It doesn't matter what people think about our hobby. I feel sorry for people that judge and can't relax and have fun. Life is SO serious at times, it's nice to have something that is meant for enjoyment. It's been said that keeping a childlike exuberance is an essential life skill in continuing our human growth. That's why I collect.

Largely I think I collect out of nostalgia. Partially for the rush. My toy collection is also a reflection on what I like and it's a way to express who I am. WWE figures are just one (growing) cross section of the collection, but I also collect T-formers and random Superhero figures.

I've always collected something,
When I was younger it was Pokemon then Naruto novels which progressed to Naruto figs then I jumped to any Anime fig that caught my eye then randomly I collected Simpson's mugs!...
Then in January I was searching for Cody Rhodes t-shirts on eBay and I see E13 Cody and Bam the collecting bug strikes again!
Now I have 70ish figs and a new display case (so you know I'm serious lol) always been a WWE fan just never got bit by the WWE figure bug before because I hated the Jakks figs (no offence)
But now I'm obsessed and regularly touring toy shops! haha ^-^

Because I give myself excuses as to why I collect. Although in reality I collect because there's something missing from my childhood, and my collection fills that empty space.

I collect because I always have if that makes sense. Wrestling figures have always been in my house since the day I was born. My older brother had an LJN and AWA Remco collection that I played with until the Hasbro line came out. I played with those every free second I had until the Jakks BCA line came out. I then collected and played with those until I was about 15. I lost interest in wrestling figures for a few years because i hated the TTL style of figures, but as soon as I realized Jakks was making the classic superstars, I was back on board. I started collecting those and just made the transfer to the Mattel line when they took over for Jakks.
Wrestling figures are just my thing I guess. Always have been and probably always will be. I am now 27 and I still get just as excited to find a new figure as I did the very first figure I bought. I now enjoy taking my girls figure hunting as well, which brings a new element to collecting.
