He was a legit superstar in the making. He was Baseball Americas #3 prospect overall. He was going to be a legit super duper star.
What a terrible loss

I was thinking about Oscar yesterday just reviewing the NLCS in my head. The guy was only coming off the bench but already had an aura about him. You felt like something big was about to happen. He had that big PH home run and after that I knew I didn't want to see him again the rest the series. Sad for his family and the game of baseball.

Last night was like watching a legendary band that's been around for decades, only they are patched together with only 1 surviving original member who's seen better days and they're coming out with a new album that would be appropriately described as a "worst of". So yeah, it was like listening to 'Starship', formerly 'Jefferson Starship', formerly 'Jefferson Airplane'.
I don't know what to feel about tonight's game. Yost has been pretty smart about not using his best bullpen guys unless he needs to. Bochy was using similar strategy last night. Machi, Strickland(another homer) and Vogelsong all got work but none of their key pitchers did. Both gross and "lol" worthy. Giants might roll out with 7-8 pitchers tonight with nobody pitching more than 2 innings. Hudson, Timmy, MadBum, Lopez, Affeldt, Romo and Casilla. Hopefully that gets it done. If Hudson gives you 3 you take it! That's the state of the 2014 Giants starting rotation. They're gonna need to play smart and get lucky if they want to win the Series.
Go Giants!

So my prediction about the Giants in 6 turned out wrong, but Bumgarner played an incredible game a couple nights ago, and I don't think that last night is a good indicator of the teams ability.
Cubs are in the process of getting Joe Maddon as their new manager. Kind of bitter-sweet, seeing as I really enjoyed Rick Renteria, but I have big hopes for Maddon. Seems like this is the year hahaha.

Congrats to the G-Men. If my team had to get eliminated, I'm glad it's to the championship winner.
I think Bocey and Posey just booked tickets to Cooperstown with this win though. Well deserved.

Happy for the Giants and their fans, most of which are Niners fans.

Buster Posey has three rings, Rookie of the Year, an MVP and a batting title. He also has never lost a Playoff Series.
My goodness.
Great series, was pulling for the Royals but still. Also, knowing that my team lost to the Champions makes it a little better.

Glad that this was a great game 7 and that the umps finally realized that they can call a third strike on a Giants batter if he doesn't swing at it as it seemed through out the series if they didn't swing with two strikes it had to be a ball no matter where it was. Bumgarner was unbelievable all series and pretty much untouchable all series but when all you have to do is throw the ball near the strike zone for it to be called a strike you should look untouchable. I hope he gets a restraining order against Joe Buck as it has seemed like he might be a little obsessed with him.

The only reason the San Jose Giants won 3 championships in 5 years is because they never faced the Yankees. CC Sabathia in 2010 and Masahiro Tanaka wouldve tossed no-hitters against the slaphitting Giants batters and Mad Bum wouldnt last 3 innings in a World Series game at Yankee Stadium.
