I can only imagine what Rollins has planned as far as his celebration because I can see a lot of superstars crashing it like people who won their matches at Mania like Lesnar for example or even Cody Rhodes or even Reigns & Ambrose all be it that they lost and or superstars like Wyatt who now owns WWE so Wyatt can basically grant himself a title shot whenever he wants and also usual players too like Orton, Jericho, Ziggler, Sheamus, etc.

Raw: March 30th, 2015 – SAP Center in San Jose, California
The WWE signature flashed across the screen, followed by the weekly intro video. The cameras cut to the arena for the biggest Raw of the year. Michael Cole, Booker T and Jerry Lawler introduced the show. “The night after WrestleMania is always a huge night and that’s exactly what’s in store for everyone,” said Cole. The music of the WWE United States Champion, Alexander Rusev, hit the speakers. The crowd booed as he and Lana stepped onto the stage and made their way to the ring. Fresh off the biggest win of his career, Rusev was ready to brag. Lana spoke for him, saying that they told everyone. “One year ago, we stood here and told you that Alexander Rusev was the super athlete who will go down as the greatest Superstar in WWE history. Not only has he not been pinned or submitted in 365 days, but last night, he defeated the so-called face that runs the place.” Rusev took over, saying that John Cena came up short last night for one reason. “He couldn’t beat me because he’s just not good enough. I am the greatest WWE Superstar in history and I proved it last night. Each and every single one of you were wrong. Your precious John Cena failed. Nobody can stop me.” At that moment, Roman Reigns’ theme played over the speakers to a loud pop. The “Big Dog” came down to the ring and got right in Rusev’s face. Rusev shouted at him for interrupting. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Reigns smirked and said he got tired of listening to them talk. “Week after week, it’s the same nonsense. You’re a super athlete. You’re undefeated. She talks for you because she wears the pants in the relationship. We get it.” Rusev and Lana looked appalled at what Reigns was implying. Reigns continued, “Look, do you want to know the real reason you haven’t been pinned yet? It’s not because of your athletic ability, it’s not because Lana pulls your strings like a puppet and it’s not even because of your skill in this ring. It’s because nobody has punched you square in the mouth like I can.” The crowd roared but Rusev was unamused. Lana responded to Reigns while Rusev refused to take his eyes off Reigns. She told Reigns that he’s a wishful thinker because, like John Cena, he’s undeserving of a shot at Rusev. “The way I remember, while my champion won the biggest match of his career last night, you lost yours.” Reigns responded, “Look, baby girl, I understand where you’re coming from. But I didn’t come out here to talk to you. I came out here for you.” Reigns pointed at Rusev, who took a swing. Reigns blocked it and fired off strikes, sending Rusev to the ropes. Rusev fought back with clubs of his own, as the two continued to brawl. Rusev sent Reigns to the corner and charged in, but Reigns moved. He ran off the ropes and knocked Rusev down with a huge Superman punch! Rusev rolled outside and wanted back in, but Lana told him to fight another day. “Roman Reigns said Alexander Rusev hadn’t been punched in the mouth like that and now he has,” said Cole. Reigns picked up the United States Title and held it in his hands.
Returning from break, still images from WrestleMania set to “Centuries” by Fall Out Boy.
CM PUNK DEF. CHRISTIAN IN 13:08; 24 hours after using underhanded tactics to best his former friend Daniel Bryan, CM Punk continued gaining momentum with a win over Christian tonight. He used the Go to Sleep to earn the three count.
Post-match, CM Punk grabbed a microphone and said that last night felt amazing because he beat someone who held him back for so long. “Tonight, Daniel’s at home with his wife, who honestly might still be sleeping from what I did to her last week. With Daniel out of the way, I can focus on more important things. As good as it was to win at WrestleMania again, that still isn’t my ultimate goal. I want, no I need to main event WrestleMania. I’ve got one year to get there and you saw what I did to a friend to get what I want. Imagine what I’m willing to do to the rest of you.”
A recap was shown of the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony this past weekend. Randy Savage, The Steiner Brothers, Vader, Diamond Dallas Page, Connor Michalek, Molly Holly and Tatsumi Fujinami were all inducted.
THE LUCHA DRAGONS DEF. BIG SHOW AND BO DALLAS IN 2:24; The WWE Universe popped for the main roster debut of Kalisto, alongside his partner Sin Cara. The Lucha Dragons wowed with some impressive high flying offense. Big Show never got tagged in, as Bo fell to Salida del Sol.
Backstage, Renee Young stood by with Cody Rhodes. She congratulated him on the victory last night. Cody thanked her and said he’s won at WrestleMania before and he’s held titles, but that was his biggest win. “To get the preverbal monkey off my back and beat the guy who first saw potential in me, was exactly what I needed to build on a strong 2014.” Before he could continue, Randy Orton stepped into the picture. Cody braced for a fight, but Orton told him to chill. “I’m just here to do what Renee did. Congratulations.” Orton extended his hand, which Cody cautiously accepted. Orton walked off, leaving Cody a bit confused and surprised.
More still images were shown from the extravaganza that was WrestleMania last night.
Returning to the arena, the brand new WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos, were in the ring. The fans cheered as they showed off their titles. Jimmy spoke, saying how much last night meant to them. “Last year, we won these titles and successfully defended them at WrestleMania. But man, there’s something special about winning them on the biggest show of the year.” Jey added that they went through a lot, from losing the titles to being on the shelf, and now they’re back on top. Suddenly, the music of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro hit the speakers. They walked out, flanked by Natalya. Kidd had a microphone, saying the Usos’ story was meaningless. “You see, while you two were at home nursing your little ingrown fingernails or whatever it was, Cesaro and I were the fastest rising team in WWE.” Cesaro added, “Fact.” Kidd continued by claiming they were close to beating CM Punk and Daniel Bryan for the titles. Cesaro added, “Fact.” Kidd said if they didn’t put their focus on the Intercontinental Title, they would’ve taken the titles from Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Again, Cesaro chimed in with, “Fact.” Jimmy interrupted and told them to get to their point. “Our point is that you’re carrying around titles that belong to us. You call yourselves the best tag team in the world, so we want you to prove it. We’re the one team you’ve never beaten.” The Usos talked it over and accepted the challenge.
WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP – TYSON KIDD AND CESARO W/ NATALYA DEF. THE USOS (C) IN 10:03; This impromptu title match brought the most in-ring action to the show thus far. Kidd and Cesaro continued to show their incredible chemistry, despite not being a team for very long. They isolated Jey for most of the match. Jimmy came in hot, hitting superkicks and Samoan drops galore. A vicious uppercut from Cesaro stopped their momentum in its tracks. Jey attempted a dive outside, but Kidd moved and he crashed hard. Kidd slid in and went to the top as Cesaro set up Jimmy for a powerbomb. They delivered a powerbomb/blockbuster combo and Cesaro covered to win the titles.
Jey Uso got up outside and looked on in disbelief. Natalya grabbed the titles and brought them to Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, who raised them in the air. “I can’t believe this! Less than 24 hours ago, The Usos completed their climb to the top of the tag team division and just like that, it was taken from them,” said Michael Cole. The new champions headed up the ramp and celebrated, while the dejected Usos looked on.
In the back, Renee Young stood by with the new WWE Women’s Champion, AJ Lee. She asked her how it felt to win the title she chased for her entire life. AJ said it felt even better than winning the Divas Title. “The women I looked up to all held this title. This is what it’s all about.” Renee then mentioned that Emma has already put in to use her rematch clause at Backlash. AJ reminded Renee that it was Emma who she made tap out last night. “But believe me, I’ve still got more revenge on my mind and Emma’s gonna get a big dose of it at Backlash.”
EMMA DEF. PAIGE VIA DISQUALIFICATION IN 11:49; The rivalry got renewed tonight as Emma and Paige went toe-to-toe. Like their previous encounters, this was physical and it was clear that their issue was far from over. Like AJ Lee, Paige was still out for revenge on Emma. When Emma got in trouble, she used that to her advantage and began talking trash to Paige. She mocked cutting Paige’s hair and taking the title from her. Enraged, Paige stomped her out in the corner, ignoring the referee’s five count, resulting in the DQ. Paige turned to yell at the official, giving Emma the chance to exit the ring and get out of dodge. “What started back in November is still far from over,” said Booker.
Highlights were shown from WrestleMania week in California.
John Cena’s theme played and he came out in a more somber mood than usual. Last night, Cena failed in his quest to end Alexander Rusev’s undefeated streak and couldn’t capture the United States Championship. Once in the ring, Cena got on the microphone and apologized to the WWE Universe. He promised them he would do something and he didn’t deliver. “Trust be told, this has been one of the worst twelve months of my career. At WrestleMania last year, I lost to Bray Wyatt. He beat me again at Payback. I returned for SummerSlam, only to come up shy of my fourteenth World Title again. Even when paired with the red hot Roman Reigns, I couldn’t win the Tag Team Title.” Cena said that he thought the Survival Trials would be a turnaround for him. “Instead, Brock Lesnar beat me at Survivor Series and then I couldn’t get the job done in two more title matches this year.” He set his sights on the United States Title last night, but again, he couldn’t get the job done. “So where does John Cena go from here? I was up all night trying to figure it out. And you know what? I think, with one more chance, I can beat Rusev.” That got a mixed reaction, which changed to cheers when the Wyatt Family signature hit. They stood atop the stage, Bray Wyatt with a wide grin on his face. He spoke, saying it was funny that Cena mentioned their matches last year. “I didn’t forget them either, John. After all, defeating you set me on my current path and that, as you know, led me to running this place. With my power will come a new era in the WWE.” Bray said he’d go into more detail about it when things become official next week. “But you? You I can address right now. When I say it will be a new era, I mean it. And that means things won’t be handed to you any longer because you’re everyone’s hero.” Cena interjected to say he never had anything handed to him in his life, but Bray made a throat cut signal and Cena’s mic cut off. “Do not underestimate the power I already own, John. You’re here to listen, not talk. Your time is up. No longer will the name JOHN CENA in bright lights, get you title shot after title shot. If you want back in the main events, you must start from the bottom and work your way through the everyone. Then, and only then, will I deem you worthy of the treasures you’ve had in the past.” Cena was speechless. Bray ended things by saying he had the whole world, including John Cena’s career, in his hands.
Still images were shown from WrestleMania, focusing on the Randy Savage Memorial Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal.
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – ADRIAN NEVILLE (C) VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER ENDED IN A NO CONTEST AT 14:21; A rematch from TLC, without the ladder. The Miz and Summer Rae came to ringside, with Miz joining commentary. Dolph Ziggler and Adrian Neville had a great match, about on par with the Tag Team Title contest earlier. Just as things were heating up, the competitors hit clotheslines at the same time, and both were down. Miz got up from the booth to intervene, but stopped in his tracks when he heard, “LOOK, LOOK EVERYONE, IT’S TYLER!” Tyler Breeze made his way to the Raw stage for the first time ever, carrying his selfie stick to a raucous ovation from the post-Mania Raw crowd. He got into the ring and put the selfie stick down. The referee tried to stop him, but Breeze shoved him down. Ziggler stirred first and was met with a Beauty Shot when he got up. Neville suffered the same fate, as the fans cheered. Miz continued to look on in shock, while Breeze picked his selfie stick back up, fixed his hair and left up the ramp.
In the back, Renee Young stood by with John Cena. Since his microphone was cut earlier, she wanted to hear his thoughts on Bray Wyatt’s announcement. Cena said Bray got one thing very wrong. “I’ve never had anything handed to me. I fight for everything. But, he did get one thing very right. Maybe it is time I start from the bottom. I admitted that the past twelve months have been rough for me. Some humility may do me some good. So, next week, I’m coming out against whoever they place in front of me. And I’m gonna beat them. And so on and so on, until I get back to the top.”
THE NEW DAY DEF. 3MB IN 2:20; Last night, these two units stopped in the middle of the Randy Savage Memorial Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal to get into a air band contest. That’s how this match began too, with New Day clearly being the crowd favorite. Once the match got going, it was Heath Slater falling victim to the Midnight Hour.
Still images were shown from WrestleMania one final time.
Commentary took time out to remind fans that next week, Raw returns to a two-hour format. “Plus, what the hell will Bray Wyatt’s first night in charge be like?” asked Michael Cole.
Cutting to the ring, Alicia Fox stood, waiting for her opponent. The fans came to their feet for another debut tonight, as former NXT Women’s Champion and daughter of Ric Flair, Charlotte, arrived.
CHARLOTTE DEF. ALICIA FOX IN 1:21; Alicia stood no chance in this one. Charlotte dominated, showcasing her skills and making Alicia tap in short order to the Figure Eight. “The already stacked women’s division just got a whole lot more interesting,” said Cole.
Returning for the final segment, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins strolled to the ring with a smile on his face. He immediately went into bragging about the win last night. “A little over two years ago, I set something in motion that would change the course of history in the WWE. The architect that I am, I took unproven Roman Reigns and lunatic Dean Ambrose and turned us into a well-oiled machine. We worked so well together that we became the greatest stable in WWE history. The Wyatt Family? We beat them. Team Hell No? Fell at our feet. Evolution? Three future hall of famers that we ran through. And you know why we did that? Because I was leading the way.” Seth continued by saying that he proves it each time he steps in the ring. “Has anyone ever had a more impactful few months? First, I fired the shot that broke up the Shield. The next month, I won the Money in the Bank briefcase. A month later, I cashed in the briefcase and won this WWE World Heavyweight Title. What did I do next? I beat Daniel Bryan and John Cena in title matches. And then, last night was the greatest achievement yet. Not only did I win in the main event of WrestleMania, an event I’m 3-0 at by the way, but I did it by beating Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. There are no more questions from idiotic fans. The best member of the Shield is the one who stood tall last night and that’s me.” Seth added that he’s the ultimate architect. “I set the blueprint for the Shield and now, I’m the blueprint for what the perfect WWE World Heavyweight Champion is. I am the 45th man to ever hold this title and none before have been better. Hulk Hogan? Never. The Rock? Nope. Steve Austin? Hell no. Brock Lesnar? Not a chance.” Just then, “Medal” hit the speakers for the first time in nine years as Kurt Angle walked out onto the stage. “Oh my god!” exclaimed Michael Cole. The SAP Center came unglued as Angle walked to the ring. Seth didn’t know what to do. Angle got a microphone and waited for the crowd to die down. Angle told Seth to slow down. “The greatest WWE Champion ever? That’s a funny thing to say because I held that title four times and trust me bucko, you’re not better than me. I’m Kurt freaking Angle!” The crowd came alive for that as Seth responded, “Well, I’m Seth freaking Rollins. No has-been is gonna coming into my ring and ruin my moment.” Angle looked impressed at Seth’s confidence. “Has-been, eh?” said Angle. He pulled Seth in and delivered the Angle Slam to a huge ovation. The WWE Champion quickly rolled outside as Angle dared him to get back inside. “Not only has Kurt Angle made his shocking return, but he’s sent the WWE World Heavyweight Champion packing,” said Cole. Seth watched Angle pose for the rowdy crowd with disgust on his face as he held his back in pain. Kurt Angle has come home.

Didn't expect to see Kurt Angle return, and what a better way to do it then interrupt Rollins' promo. I think if they had a match, it'd be cool to see. I like this diary, Kev, and Backlash looks to be a killer post-Mania PPV!

- Rusev is still the WWE United States Champion hell now he hasn't been pinned or he hasn't been made to submit in over a year...365 days of being undefeated and on the Grandest Stage of Them All he beat the "Face of WWE" he beat the guy John Cena who has been running this place for 10 years ever since 2005 Rusev beat him he didn't make Cena tap out but Cena passed out in the Accolade just like all the others and Rusev is still undefeated but then he gets interrupted by Roman Reigns of all people...now that is unexpected I definitely was not expecting Roman Reigns of all people to show up
- Reigns basically taking out Rusev...I think we will end up getting Rusev/Reigns for the WWE United States Championship at Backlash which is the next PPV after WrestleMania
- CM Punk proving once again that he is The Best in the World after he beat Christian here on RAW the RAW after Mania and after what he did last night at WrestleMania beating Daniel Bryan and now here on RAW beating Christian...Punk is on a roll so it only begs the question of what Punk does now between now and Backlash? Punk The Best in the World he is dead set on once again becoming WWE Champion so I wonder if that means he will target Rollins for the title now?
- The Lucha Dragons making their main roster debut the night after WrestleMania well Sin Cara he has been on the main roster before but he is back but then cue Kalisto who is on the main roster for the first time and the 2 of them beating Big Show and Bo Dallas...I mean that is a huge win for The Lucha Dragons but that being said after that win it pretty much puts them in the discussion as far as the WWE Tag Team Championship picture is concerned but Big Show at this point he needs to get rid of the dead weight that is Bo Dallas because all Bo has done is hold Show back
- Cody Rhodes should know by now that Randy Orton is just baiting him he is just trying to sucker him in...like has Cody not learned anything from being at Orton's side all those years in Legacy? But also after the things Orton did to Rhodes' family in the past specifically Cody's father The American Dream Dusty Rhodes I mean Cody Rhodes shouldn't have shook Orton's hand...that is just Orton's way of suckering Cody in...I can see it leading up to Orton/Rhodes II at Backlash
- Kidd & Cesaro beating The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championships the night after The Usos won them at WrestleMania 31 after The Usos beat Harper & Rowan to become WWE Tag Team Champions...The Usos' reign only lasting 24 hours as Kidd & Cesaro beat them for the titles I still can't believe it...what a shocker especially here the night after WrestleMania 31
- Emma of course is going to use her rematch clause for the WWE Women's Championship...I mean she was the champion and lost her title last night at Mania in a Fatal 4-Way Match where she was the one who was not only beaten but made to tap out as AJ Lee made Emma tap to the Black Widow...but now AJ Lee in her first title defense has to face off against Emma for that title and the match is going to happen at Backlash...now that is a match I definitely can't wait for
- Emma beating Paige all be it by DQ because Paige's anger got the better of her as she completely lost control...I mean I can't really blame Paige for getting herself DQed I mean given all the things Emma has done to her in the past I mean Paige was bound to lose it sooner or later but at the same time I mean if after that just what Paige plans on doing? Paige will probably throw herself into the equation and it becomes a Triple Threat Match at Backlash for the WWE Women's Championship
- Well Bray Wyatt he owns the WWE now and he, Harper and Rowan basically have all the power in their hands well Bray does considering last night at Mania he beat Triple H in Triple H's own environment of No Holds Barred and beat him for control of this company so that being said Wyatt he holds all the power in his hands...Cena can't do anything about it because Wyatt virtually has Cena's career in his hands and he basically told Cena that if he wants any title shot at any title he has to work his way from the bottom that nothing will be handed to him anymore...Cena has no power none whatsoever anymore and I just love that Bray Wyatt can throw his weight around because if he wants he could even grant himself a WWE Championship match against Rollins hell he could even strip Rollins of his title because that is how much unlimited power he has
- WWE Intercontinental Championship match between Neville the new IC Champion who won the title last night in the Randy Savage Memorial Battle Royal by eliminating the man who he is facing the former IC Champion Ziggler last and their match ends in a No Contest because of Tyler Breeze showing up...Breeze making his main roster debut from NXT and he shows up laying out both Neville and Ziggler with Miz watching all of this...it seems pretty obvious to me that Breeze made it clear that he wants his shot at the IC Title
- Cena starting from the bottom...well this is a change of pace for Cena but at the same time it basically means that he will learn some humility but also by starting from the bottom it will make Cena an even bigger babyface because all of his critics everyone who hates Cena will now have no choice but to cheer for Cena now especially now that he is starting from the bottom working his way back up to the top
- New Day beating 3MB...I mean after this win I wonder if New Day will throw in their names into the hat as far as the WWE Tag Team Championship picture is concerned I mean how about Harper & Rowan? Don't Harper & Rowan have a rematch clause for the titles that they lost? Not to mention with their man Bray in charge I am sure Bray he will give Harper & Rowan their shots at the titles especially with Bray running things he will make sure that Harper & Rowan once again become WWE Tag Team Champions but then there are other teams to consider like The Usos who also have a rematch clause and then teams like The New Day as well as The Lucha Dragons and so on and so forth...the WWE Tag Team division is heating up
- Another main roster debut and it is none other than Charlotte Flair...daughter of 2 time WWE Hall of Famer The Nature Boy Ric Flair The Dirtiest Player in the Game and now his daughter Charlotte is on the main roster from NXT and in Charlotte's first match on RAW she beats a former WWE Women's Champion/Divas Champion in Alicia Fox...I mean after this win I would say Charlotte with her joining this Divas division it is only a matter of time before Charlotte gets herself a title shot...but I wonder about other divas like Sasha Banks? Becky Lynch? If they too will also make the jump to the main roster or how about Alexa Bliss or even Nia Jax? I mean this Divas division is so small on the main roster already...it just may be time to expand it ten-fold
- Kurt Angle making a shocking WWE return...this is the first time Angle has been in a WWE ring since 2006...fast forward 9 years later and Angle has finally come home in 2015 and Angle making his presence known his impact known by coming face to face with The Architect Seth Rollins the WWE Champion who beat Reigns and Ambrose last night at Mania by retaining his title in the Triple Threat but then Angle putting Rollins in the Angle Slam and hitting it on Rollins with Rollins in retreat...I definitely was not expecting this return of Angle's definitely not especially on the night after WrestleMania
- With Kurt back in the WWE we can see dream matches for Angle that we thought we would never see because Angle with him back he can have matches with not only Rollins but with Reigns, Cena, Wyatt, Rusev, Ziggler, Punk, Bryan, etc.
- I think we end up getting Angle/Rollins for the WWE Championship at Backlash in the main event with Angle getting a match for the title...his first WWE Championship match in years...I see it happening

NXT: April 1st, 2015 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
The first NXT following WrestleMania weekend began with the weekly intro video. Cutting to the arena, the commentary trio of Rich Brennan, Jason Albert and Renee Young welcomed audiences to the show. “Tonight, we have a huge episode in store for you, including the first match for Austin Aries and Bobby Roode, as they face Enzo Amore and Big Cass for the NXT Tag Team Titles,” said Brennan.
Before getting to the in-ring action, the music of NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks played. She made her way down to the ring and before she could speak, was greeted with “Sasha’s ratchet” chants. Ignoring them, Sasha spoke about being the champion and how she’s bored. “I mean, is there even any challenges left for me? I put down Charlotte when no one else could. I made Bayley tap out and cry in front of each and every single one of you. I popped Becky Lynch’s arm out of its socket and sent her to the hospital. There are no challenges left. When I say I’m the boss around here, the proof is in my track record.” The theme of Bayley played to a huge ovation. Bayley walked down the ramp while talking. She admitted that Sasha made her tap, but said it wasn’t the end of her. “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and dammit, Sasha, I’m stronger than ever.” Bayley brought up her recent string of wins until Becky Lynch’s theme hit the speakers to another pop. She stepped onto the stage and said she knew how Bayley felt. “When I lost to Sasha, I felt like my career hit a wall. But like Bayley, I’ve picked myself up and haven’t been stopped since.” Sasha interrupted, saying none of this meant anything. “Beating the rest of the nobodies around here means nothing. You’re still not worthy of sharing my ring.” Becky and Bayley both stepped towards the ring, but were stopped by the music of NXT General Manager William Regal. He kept things calm and said he understood everyone’s points. “Sasha, I get that you’ve beaten everyone put in front of you. But that doesn’t mean you can just take nights off. Becky and Bayley also have good points, because they’ve been on quite the roll lately. So, here’s what we’re going to do. Tonight is all booked up, but in two weeks, Bayley will go one on one with Becky Lynch and the winner gets the next shot at Sasha Banks.” Sasha was clearly annoyed, but Regal added that whoever earned the shot needed to understand that it would be their last opportunity as long as Sasha is champion.
BARON CORBIN DEF. JESUS DE LEON IN 0:25; Before the match, Shelton Benjamin walked onto the stage and watched. He didn’t stand for long because Corbin hit the End of Days in quick fashion. Shelton seemed impressed.
An advertisement ran for the Cruiserweight Classic, which premieres right after NXT, only on the WWE Network!
Commentary took a special look back at WrestleMania. During the Randy Savage Memorial Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal, NXT Superstar Corey Graves made his WrestleMania debut. He lasted quite some time and picked up two eliminations, but ultimately couldn’t capture the title. Next week, NXT emanates from Axxess and the tournament Graves won to earn the spot will be shown.
A recap was now shown of the battle between Kevin Owens and Finn Balor over the NXT Championship last week. Balor came close on several occasions, but Owens was too much for him. After the match, Owens attempted to powerbomb him on the apron, but Hideo Itami made the save. NXT cameras caught up with Owens after the match. He was livid with Itami. “Who the hell does he think he is? You can’t just stick your nose in the champ’s business. Somebody needs to teach Hideo to stay in his place. Maybe it’ll just have to be me.”
BLAKE AND MURPHY W/ ALEXA BLISS DEF. THE VAUDEVILLAINS IN 6:13; With the NXT Tag Team Titles on the line later tonight, as well as the emergence of American Alpha and the debut of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa last week, these two teams were looking to stay relevant. After some back and forth action, BAMF took home with the win with a running suplex/frog splash combination.
Devin Taylor stood by backstage with Apollo Crews. She asked him for more information on Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, who debuted last week in Cleveland and beat American Alpha. Crews had a huge smile while talking about them, saying he goes way back with them. “I promise you Devin, that was not a one-time thing. They will be back and the tag team division better be ready. Now, as sweet as it was to watch them beat American Alpha last week, I’m not quite done with the All-American Real Americans. Jack Swagger will find out soon enough.”
An ad ran to plug the debut of Talk is Jericho on the WWE Network. You’ve seen the Stone Cold Podcast, but this Friday night, Chris Jericho will interview Stephanie McMahon!
DANA BROOKE DEF. CHELSEA GREEN IN 2:02; Dana Brooke bit off a bit more than she could chew when she challenged Charlotte. The loss didn’t seem to humble her though, as she was just as brash here. With good reason too, since she won in short order.
Speaking of Charlotte, she made her main roster debut on Raw this past Monday, defeating Alicia Fox. She wasn’t alone though. The Lucha Dragons appeared, marking Kalisto’s official debut after an appearance in the Royal Rumble. They also picked up a win. Tyler Breeze was the final Superstar to debut on Raw, though it wasn’t in a match. He attacked Dolph Ziggler and Adrian Neville, instantly making an impact.
Backstage, Devin Taylor stood by with Tye Dillinger. She asked him about his recent appearances and the relevance of the numbers he holds up. Tye said that he saw himself losing more than he should’ve. “I was ready to give up, but then I realized that something when I looked in the mirror. I’m a perfect ten. The rest of this roster around here are far from it and I’m gonna remind them every chance I get."
A vignette ran to promote Solomon Crowe. We haven’t seen Crowe in a few weeks, but he’ll be back to take over NXT soon.
EVAN BOURNE DEF. CJ PARKER IN 4:12; CJ Parker has irked the WWE Universe for quite some time. He got under Bourne’s skin early and often and picked up several near falls. Bourne weathered his storm and used a series of kicks before the AirBourne to win.
An ad aired, promoting WWE’s new partnership with Tapout.
A video package aired, recapping the feud between Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and the Most Glorious Men That Ever Lived. Austin Aries and Bobby Roode debuted at TakeOver: Rival, stealing the thunder from the Tag Team Champions. Since then, they’ve yet to compete, but have been such a thorn in the champions’ sides that they offered a title shot to get their hands on them.
NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP – AUSTIN ARIES AND BOBBY ROODE DEF. ENZO AMORE AND COLIN CASSADY (C) W/ CARMELLA IN 9:42; If you thought Aries and Roode were cocky before competing, that was nothing compared to how things were once they got in the ring. They picked apart Enzo Amore, making sure to stop and boast about it as often as possible. Enzo finally found a way to get free and tag Cass, who ran through his opponents. They set up for the Rocket Launcher, but Roode ran in and clotheslined Cass to the outside, falling with him. Left alone up top, Enzo jumped off, but Aries got his knees up. He picked the champion up and planted him with a Brainbuster, earning the titles.
The celebration was on. Bobby Roode snatched the titles from ringside and handed one to Austin Aries. “Glorious Domination” played over the speakers as Roode put the title around his waist and posed with his arms out. Aries knelt in front of him and held the title over his head. “I think the glorious era of NXT has begun,” said Albert.

- Austin Aries and Bobby Roode becoming the new NXT Tag Team Champions...beating the former champions Enzo & Big Cass I mean Enzo & Cass as champions they had a good run beating tag team after tag team so it was only a matter of time before their run came to an end and seeing as how Aries and Roode have been on a virtual roll ever since bursting on to the scene them becoming champions here in WWE in NXT it was only a matter of time but I mean a team with 2 massive egos I would have never have called this
- If only we had a WWE Cruiserweight division then Evan Bourne he would be perfect for it but unfortunately we don't because we don't have a Brand Split because if we did then the Cruiserweights would have their own division and he would be perfect for it but seeing Bourne here in NXT beating Parker I mean Evan Bourne he needs to be back on the main roster
- With NXT superstars like Charlotte, Kalisto, Sin Cara and Tyler Breeze all on the main roster I wonder which NXT superstars will be the next ones to make the eventual jump to the main roster?

Cruiserweight Classic: April 1st, 2015 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
The WWE signature flashed across the screen, followed a special video package showcasing some of the greatest cruiserweights in history. Guys like Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan have overcome the odds and become World Champions. Could someone in this tournament one day do the same?
The intro video played before cameras entered the Full Sail Arena. Mauro Ranallo and NXT General Manager William Regal handled commentary and welcomed the viewers at home. “Tonight, some of the greatest athletes from across the globe will participate in a tournament to determine the best cruiserweight on the planet,” said Ranallo.
Special guest analyst and former seven-time Cruiserweight Champion, Billy Kidman went over the bracket and hyped the four matches scheduled for tonight.
This led to a video package highlighting the first two combatants. Gurv Sihra represents India and has a brother who is also in the tournament. Collectively, they’re known as the Bollywood Boyz. Gurv weighed 159 pounds and grew up idolizing Bret Hart. His opponent is someone familiar to WWE fans. Former Cruiserweight, Tag Team and United States Champion, Tajiri. He comes in at 189 pounds. Tajiri spent time in ECW and WWE but has been in Japan, where he represents in the CWC, since then. He looks to return with an impact in this tournament. CRUISERWEIGHT CLASSIC FIRST ROUND – TAJIRI DEF. GURV SIHRA IN 4:04; The crowd was very happy to see Tajiri for the first time in years. Before the matches, competitors shake hands to show respect to their opponents, the tournament and the nations involved. Sihra brought some fun high flying offense and picked up a near fall with a superkick. He learned the hard way that kicking Tajiri isn’t the best move. The “Japanese Buzzsaw” lit him up, finishing with the Buzzsaw Kick to advance.
Viewers were now taken to another video package. This one first showcased Gran Metalik, the Mexican Superstar known for his time in Japan. He enters the tournament weighing 174 pounds. He only spoke Spanish and needed translation, but promised to win the tournament for his home country. He must first get past 154 pound Jason Lee, who is representing Hong Kong. Lee said he knows he’s not a well-known commodity, but said we’ll all remember him when this is over.
CRUISERWEIGHT CLASSIC FIRST ROUND – GRAN METALIK DEF. JASON LEE IN 5:59; Jason Lee made an early impact by showcasing his athleticism. He and Metalik moved at an incredible pace, putting the crowd on the edge of their seats. Though Lee put up a tough fight, Metalik finished him with the Metalik Driver.
An ad ran to promote WWE Backlash. It comes to you live on the WWE Network on Sunday, April 26th, 2015!
A video package was shown to promote the next tournament match. First up, Kenneth Johnson was highlighted, representing the United States. The 156 pounder hails from Detroit and was trained by former WWE Superstar Mr. Hughes. He has a tough task ahead of him, though. One of the tournament favorites, Zack Sabre Jr., stands in his way. The British star weighs 181 pounds and is widely considered one of the best wrestlers in the world. He called his style of grappling the future of pro wrestling and we’ll see why in this tournament.
CRUISERWEIGHT CLASSIC FIRST ROUND – ZACK SABRE JR. DEF. KENNETH JOHNSON IN 5:04; Zack Sabre Jr. wasn’t kidding. Not only was his style of grappling different, it was highly effective. He spent a good chunk of the match twisting Johnson like a pretzel. Johnson fought back with a few high impact moves, including a close near fall on a springboard dropkick. Sabre trapped him in an armbar to make him submit and advance.
Before the main event, a “Tale of the Tape” was shown, comparing the competitors. Kota Ibushi had the size advantage, as at 200 pounds, he’s one of the bigger guys in the tournament. He also held an experience edge by three years, but one of Dorado’s trainers was accomplished WWE Superstar Cesaro.
Both men were shown warming up separately.
The video package to set up the main event aired, going over their stats again. It also showed viewers that Ibushi represented Japan, while Dorado was fighting for Puerto Rico. Dorado, the “Golden Lynx” wanted to show that the proud nation could still come out on top. Ibushi, the “Golden Star”, admitted to having a lot of success in his career in Japan. However, it was time to see if he could be a star in America.
CRUISERWEIGHT CLASSIC FIRST ROUND – KOTA IBUSHI DEF. LINCE DORADO IN 10:40; This was the best match of the tournament so far. Lince Dorado showed off offensive maneuvers like a flipping DDT and his Lynxsault Ibushi retaliated with brutal strikes, showing he might be the best in the tournament when it comes to that aspect. He got his knees up on an SSP and hit a kick to the head. Lince was out on his feet and Kota nailed the Golden Star Bomb to win.
Following Kota Ibushi’s celebration, clips were shown to hype next week’s episode. Billy Kidman provided voiceover work as he ran down the card for next week. “Like Tajiri tonight, another former WWE Superstar makes his return next week when The Brian Kendrick takes on Damien Slater in a battle of two Americans. Another American, highly touted Cedric Alexander, goes one on one with Italy’s Fabian Aichner. Canada’s Tyson Dux faces England’s top villain, Marty Scurll. Then, in our huge main event, two of the top masked Superstars in the world go head to head when Mexico’s aerial phenom Fenix collides with Japanese legend Jushin Thunder Liger!

Seeing the Cruiserweight Classic up close I mean it seems we have 4 of the 32 superstars moving on in this Cruiserweight Classic with Tajiri, Kota Ibushi, Zack Sabre Jr. and Gran Metalik moving on so it begs the question of which of the other 24 superstars will move on since 4 superstars that being Dorado, Johnson, Lee and Sihra have been eliminated

All roads are leading up to a Bryan/Punk rematch I mean that part is obvious especially given what happened at WrestleMania 31

Smackdown: April 2nd, 2015 – Save Mart Center in Fresno, California
The first Smackdown after WrestleMania opened with a string of highlights from the infamous Raw after WrestleMania. Quick glances were given to the return of Kurt Angle, Roman Reigns going after Alexander Rusev, John Cena being told he must start at the bottom, the debuts of Charlotte, the Lucha Dragons and Tyler Breeze and more.
This was followed by the weekly Smackdown intro video and the commentary trio of Mauro Ranallo, Byron Saxton and Tom Phillips welcoming the WWE Universe. They promised a huge show tonight, with the new WWE season underway, following an exciting edition of Raw.
Cutting to the ring, it was set up for MizTV. Summer Rae stood in the center in front of a microphone and introduced our host, The Miz. Miz walked to the ring to a chorus of boos, yet still pointed to the fans and thanked them. He welcomed the audience to the “most must-see” show in WWE history. Miz brought up WrestleMania, stating that everyone got lucky because the Intercontinental Title should rightfully be his. “Speaking of the Intercontinental Title, something interesting happened on Monday when Dolph Ziggler and Adrian Neville competed for it. We saw the debut of someone who made waves in NXT over the past year. Someone who, even I must admit, has movie star quality good looks.” Miz brought out his guest, Tyler Breeze. Breeze got a mixed reaction as he came to the ring, staring into his phone’s camera. When he entered the ring, he stopped to look Summer Rae up and down, before taking a seat. Miz asked him why he chose now to make his debut. Breeze said he always stands out and the night after WrestleMania was the best time to do so. Miz then asked why he chose to get involved in the Intercontinental Title match. “Look at the Intercontinental Title. It’s a gorgeous piece of gold. And yet, who keeps fighting over it? ‘Mr. 2012’ Dolph Ziggler and that hobbit Adrian Neville. It’s time for someone as super good looking as me to wear it.” Miz agreed, saying the last time someone good looking held the title was when he had it. Breeze scoffed and responded, “No. No it wasn’t.” Before any other words could be exchanged, Dolph Ziggler’s music played, as the former champion stepped onto the stage. Ziggler said everyone is tired of hearing the Miz’s voice, but he admitted to being intrigued by Breeze. “You remind me of someone. Oh, yeah. You’re me five years ago, except not as good.” The crowd oohed at that statement, but Breeze shrugged it off and mostly ignored him. Miz interjected, saying Ziggler shouldn’t worry about Breeze, because they’re facing off tonight. Breeze chimed in, “Before the two of you bore us with yet another one on one match, I’d like to inform my legion of followers that I will be making my in-ring debut this Monday on Raw.” That got some boos as Ziggler walked to the ring for the opening contest. Still images were shown from WrestleMania, set to “Centuries” by Fall Out Boy. THE MIZ W/ SUMMER RAE DEF. DOLPH ZIGGLER IN 7:31; Considering their history, these two were ready for the offense of the other. Ziggler gained the big advantage and nailed a huge superkick. He called for the Zig Zag, when Eden Stiles stood at the timekeeper’s table. “Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to inform you that Tyler Breeze has left the building.” Ziggler questioned why the announcement was made. Eden shrugged, but it was enough for Miz to sneak up and hit the Skull Crushing Finale to win.
From the back, WWE Intercontinental Champion Adrian Neville was shown watching on a monitor.
A recap was shown of the rivalry between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Punk stole a victory over Bryan at WrestleMania and said he was done with him on Raw. Bryan returns tonight and promises to call out Punk.
NON-TITLE MATCH: ALEXANDER RUSEV W/ LANA DEF. DARREN YOUNG W/ TITUS O’NEIL IN 1:17; During Rusev’s entrance, viewers were reminded that he was shut up by Roman Reigns this past Monday. The pissed off United States Champion made quick work of Young.
Cody Rhodes was shown warming up, when Randy Orton came up to him. Like on Monday, Orton said he meant no harm. “I know you were probably confused when you got here and saw that were teaming against the Tag Team Champions in the main event.” Cody admitted that he was, so Orton explained that he asked for the match. “When you beat me at WrestleMania, it humbled me in a way and, to repay the favor, I wanted to prove that things were all good between us. And who knows? If we win tonight, maybe we’ll get a title shot down the line.” Orton slapped him on the back and left, with Rhodes still unsure about this.
More still images were shown from WrestleMania.
Fans were taken to a recap of Bray Wyatt’s announcement on Raw was shown. He announced that when he takes over on Monday, John Cena will have to start over from the bottom. Earlier this week, Cena tweeted out that he’s never been one to back down from a challenge. He guaranteed he’ll be WWE Champion again sooner than we think.
Viewers were now shown clips from Emma and Paige’s match on Raw. Emma knew just how to get under Paige’s skin, which got Paige disqualified.EMMA DEF. NATALYA IN 5:20; Despite losing her Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, Emma got back on the winning track when she made Natalya tap to the Emma Lock. Post-match, Emma signaled that she was getting back her title at Backlash. Backstage, Renee Young stood by with the former WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos. She asked them about losing the titles on Raw. Jimmy said it was the worst feeling in the world. “We fought so hard to get back to the top of the division and then it all came crumbling down in less than 24 hours.” Jey added that the past few days have been rough, but they know what must be done. “We’ve got to pick up the pieces and get those titles back, which is what we’re gonna do at Backlash.” He told Tyson Kidd and Cesaro to enjoy the titles for now, because they won’t have them long.
Another set of still images from WrestleMania were shown.
The crowd leapt to their feet as Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring. His usual exuberant “Yes” taunt was subdued, as Bryan clearly meant business. Once in the ring, Bryan got a microphone and immediately called out CM Punk. No response was given, so Bryan asked again. The second time, Punk stepped onto the stage, but looked annoyed. He spoke, saying Bryan needs to get over it. “I beat you at WrestleMania. I’m done with you and am focusing on bigger things. Did you not hear me on Raw?” Bryan responded, saying things are far from over. “It’s one thing to turn your back on years of friendship; but it’s a whole different story when you put your hands on my wife. I don’t care what you said on Monday, I’m out here for one reason. To challenge you to a match at Backlash.” Punk let out a hearty laugh, before saying, “Oh my god. You’re serious aren’t you? Why would I accept that? I have nothing left to prove. I beat you on the biggest stage possible and broke you emotionally. What’s left?” Bryan said that he’ll give Punk any match he wants, but Punk still declined. Bryan mentioned a Steel Cage match, a Street Fight and even something as out there as the Punjabi Prison match, but kept getting denied. Finally, when Bryan said a Submissions match, Punk stopped him. Punk said that intrigued him. “I proved everything I wanted to, but the thought of making you submit to the best in the world is compelling.” Bryan said he’d agree to face him in a Submissions match if it meant getting a rematch. Punk responded, “I do things on my terms, you dictate nothing. And you know what? You get nothing.” Punk dropped the microphone and walked off, leaving a frustrated Bryan in the ring. A vignette ran to hype Charlotte. The former NXT Women’s Champion and daughter of Ric Flair, made her debut on Raw this past Monday and defeated Alicia Fox.
A video package aired to promote the return of Kurt Angle. He made a shocking appearance to close out Raw, hitting the Angle Slam on Seth Rollins and will be at Raw again this Monday!
THE LUCHA DRAGONS DEF. 3MB W/ JINDER MAHAL IN 2:15; Another debut on Raw came in the form of Kalisto, who brought his tag team with Sin Cara to the main roster. They bested the three man band after Kalisto hit Salida del Sol on Slater.
A video aired to hype how things will change next week. Bray Wyatt will have full control of the WWE going forward and it all begins this Monday night on Raw. NON-TITLE MATCH: TYSON KIDD AND CESARO W/ NATALYA DEF. CODY RHODES AND RANDY ORTON IN 12:52; As if no time had passed since the days of Legacy, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton worked great as a team. The new Tag Team Champions had trouble throughout, never managing to gain clear control. Orton hit Cesaro with the RKO for the closest near fall, but Kidd broke things up. In the end, a miscommunication led to Cody bumping into Orton. Orton struck quickly, hitting the RKO. When he realized what he did, he put his hands on his head in disbelief. Cesaro clotheslined him outside and planted Rhodes with the Neutralizer for the win.
The Tag Team Champions celebrated up the ramp, as Randy Orton slid back in the ring. He looked around before kneeling by his fallen partner. Orton tried waking him up, eventually helping him to his feet. Cody shoved him away and backed to the corner. Smackdown ended with the two men standing across from one another.

- Cody Rhodes should not trust Orton I mean in the main event he and Orton both lose to the WWE Tag Team Champions Kidd & Cesaro off of a miscommunication more like Orton meant to RKO Cody nothing accidental about that and Rhodes would have to be stupid to accept Orton's excuse of that being an accident Orton wanted to do that and meant to do that...so I wonder if Cody Rhodes will turn on Orton before Orton can turn on him? You never can trust a snake much less a Viper
- The Lucha Dragons beating 3MB...I mean after this win I think it is safe to say that Kalisto & Sin Cara are not just on a roll but they have more or less put themselves in the title picture as far as a future shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships if they keep up this winning mentality
- Angle on RAW this Monday I wonder if he and the WWE Champion Seth Rollins will cross paths once again but I wonder if we will get an explanation from Angle as to why he has decided after all these years to come home to WWE? I mean the last time he was on WWE TV was 9 years ago in 2006 fast forward 9 years later in 2015 he is back and he crosses paths with Rollins no less so I wonder what is on the agenda for Angle?
- Charlotte after her debut I think it is safe to say that the daughter of 2 time WWE Hall of Famer The Nature Boy Ric Flair... that The Queen herself Charlotte will make her own mark step out of her father's shadow and etch her own name into the history books I can just see it now...Charlotte Flair future WWE Women's Champion
- Punk rejecting Bryan for a rematch I mean he should he beat Bryan on The Grandest Stage of Them All beating him at WrestleMania 31 more like he embarrassed Daniel Bryan so he has nothing more left to prove to Bryan or to anyone else because Punk wants to set his sights on being the Best in the World once again and by doing that it means setting his sights on the WWE Championship but I just have a feeling Bryan won't give up that easily and he will make it personal with Punk somehow and the rematch ends up happening at Backlash
- The Usos cashing in their rematch clause for the WWE Tag Team Championships at Backlash by facing the WWE Tag Team Champions Kidd & Cesaro...I can imagine that this match too will also be a classic just like their other matches
- Emma the former WWE Women's Champion beating Natalya...I mean Emma is on a roll ever since losing the WWE Women's Championship back at WrestleMania when she lost it in a Fatal 4 Way losing it to AJ Lee but at the same time in this match with Natalya Emma more or less made a statement here by making Natalya tap considering AJ Lee made Emma tap out at WrestleMania in order to win the title
- Bray Wyatt he is in charge he is in full control of WWE and his first night in charge on Monday on RAW I can only imagine what he has in store not just for John Cena but for other superstars such as Reigns, Ambrose, the WWE Champion Rollins himself, Orton, Rhodes, pretty much the whole roster Wyatt controls which means he could fire any superstar or diva he can pretty much do whatever he wants that is how much control he has and who would have thought it? I mean with him in charge it is like he has all the power and no one can stop him not Triple H the COO not Shane or even Stephanie no one can except for maybe Vince but can he really do anything?
- Rusev the WWE United States Champion's undefeated streak continues with him beating Darren Young...I mean Rusev he is on an even bigger roll ever since WrestleMania especially when he beat the face of WWE John Cena he beat no he humiliated John Cena on the grandest stage of them all once again proving that USA is inferior I mean no American no superstar of any background has been able to beat him much less make him submit he is unpinned unsubmitted think about that...and now Roman Reigns wants to try his fare against Rusev...well I wonder if Rusev will even give Reigns a match for the title?
- With Miz beating Ziggler well off of a distraction indirectly because of Breeze even though Breeze wasn't even there Ziggler took his eye off the ball and Miz capitalized off of that beating Ziggler I think after that it is safe to say Miz is in the hunt for the WWE Intercontinental Championship but then again doesn't Ziggler have a rematch clause? I mean Ziggler never really got a fair rematch for the title it ended in a No Contest but then again Breeze he too is setting his sights on the IC Title...simple solution you have a Triple Threat #1 Contender's Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship...Breeze vs Ziggler vs Miz and the winner of that match faces the WWE Intercontinental Champion Neville at Backlash

Raw: April 6th, 2015 – Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas
The WWE Signature flashed across the screen to signal the start of the show. It was intercut before reaching the, “Then. Now. Forever,” part when the Wyatt signature struck. From a dark room backstage, Bray Wyatt appeared on screen. He said a new era in the WWE begins tonight. “Gone are the days of the structure you’ve come to know when watching Monday Night Raw. Tonight is a night for new beginnings. Tonight, John Cena starts at the bottom. Tonight, my dear followers, time will not be wasted. What you all call chaos, I call paradise. To anyone who opposes me, I have just one word for you. Run!” After the weekly opening video aired, the cameras cut to the stage, where Luke Harper and Erick Rowan were brawling with the Usos. “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Michael Cole alongside Jerry Lawler and Booker T and apparently, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked the Usos backstage a few moments ago. We’re being told now that Bray Wyatt has officially sanctioned this as a Falls Count Anywhere match!” FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE – ERICK ROWAN AND LUKE HARPER DEF. THE USOS IN 11:25; the teams continued to do battle on the stage, with Rowan and Harper having control. At one point, Jey and Harper went backstage, where Harper tossed him into everything he could find. Jimmy took Rowan down the ramp and assaulted him with a steel chair. Jey fought back and connected on a big superkick, sending Harper through a door. From the other side of that door came Cesaro, obliterating Jey with a brutal uppercut. Tyson Kidd also stepped out, with Natalya, and looked down at Jey before shaking his head. The champions walked off as Harper got up. He saw Jey stirring and nearly took his head off with the discus lariat for the win. In the ring, Jimmy was set for a splash off the top onto Rowan, but stopped when the bell rang. He headed to the back to find his brother.
“What a night we’ve already had and there’s so much more to come. In our main event, CM Punk teams with WWE United States Champion Alexander Rusev to take on Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan! Plus, John Cena begins his quest back to the top as he takes on Jinder Mahal!” said Michael Cole.
Renee Young stood by backstage with Paige. She asked for her thoughts on Emma and getting disqualified last week. Paige said things between them are far from over. “She didn’t just turn her back on a long friendship. She took what mattered most to me. She took my Women’s Championship. I didn’t get my revenge or my title at WrestleMania. You know, unlike a lot of people around here, I like that Bray Wyatt’s in control now. He likes chaos and I think I might have just enough of that in me tonight.”
AJ LEE AND CHARLOTTE DEF. ALICIA FOX AND EMMA IN 5:55; Last Monday, former NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte made her main roster debut. This week, she got to team with the WWE Women’s Champion. They were an uneasy pair since AJ never plays well with others. AJ overwhelmed Emma at times, so she tagged out and decided to walk out on the match. When she reached halfway up the ramp, Paige appeared behind her with a steel chair. Emma heard the crowd erupt and saw Paige in time to duck a violent chair swing. She ran to the back where Paige gave chase. In the ring, Charlotte hit Natural Selection on Fox for the win, while AJ watched Paige and Emma with laughter.
TYLER BREEZE DEF. CHRISTIAN IN 9:51; The highly anticipated debut of Tyler Breeze. WWE Intercontinental Champion Adrian Neville joined commentary for this, while Dolph Ziggler arrived for a look from the stage. The Miz and Summer Rae watched from a monitor backstage. Breeze and Christian had a solid back and forth match, until Breeze connected on the Beauty Shot to earn his first win.Dolph Ziggler looked impressed before heading to the back. Adrian Neville entered the ring while Tyler Breeze looked at himself in his phone. He saw Neville behind him in his camera and turned. Neville had a microphone and said he could’ve attacked Breeze just now. “I could’ve done what you did last week but that’s not my style. I settle things in this ring. So, like a man, I’m challenging you to a match this Thursday on Smackdown.” Breeze pointed to the Intercontinental Title, causing Neville to smirk. “I’m a fighting champion. You want a shot at this? You got it.” Breeze exited with a smile, as he now has a shot a the prestigious Intercontinental Title in just his second match.
Bray Wyatt was shown in the back again, flanked by Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. He addressed the camera, saying tonight has gone exactly the way he hoped it would. “Chaos has been the theme of the night. My family and the Usos went to war to start things, Paige is somewhere wielding a steel chair and a title match is set for Smackdown. Did I not give you all my word that the WWE would be better off in my hands?” Bray continued by saying he’s only getting started.
An advertisement ran to plug the WWE Cruiserweight Classic. The tournament began last week, but continues this Wednesday on the WWE Network with the first ever WWE appearance of the legendary Jushin Thunder Liger!
The Austin faithful came unglued for the arrival of Kurt Angle. After making his shocking return last week, Angle grabbed a microphone in the ring to speak for the first time in nearly ten years in front of a WWE audience. He was stopped by loud “welcome back” chants. Angle looked overwhelmed at the love. He finally got speak and said it was good to be back home. He said that he accomplished some other things in his time away, but there’s nothing like being back in a WWE ring. “Since last week, I’ve been getting bombarded on Twitter with one two-part question. Why now and why Seth Rollins?” The crowd popped as Angle explained the timeframe by saying he was finally free of any contractual obligations. “As for Seth Rollins, there was one specific reason I targeted him. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship.” That brought the fans to their feet, but their cheers turned to boos when Seth Rollins made his way out onto the stage. He still looked flustered and furious after last week. Seth asked, “Who the hell do you think you are?” Before Angle could respond, Seth plowed on, saying he couldn’t believe Angle had the audacity to interrupt him. “News flash Kurt, it’s not 2005 anymore. You don’t matter. The last time you were relevant, I was, what, 18 years old? You need to tell these people that you had your moment of glory last week and ride off into the sunset. I’ll let it slide if you promise to leave right now.” Angle chuckled and said that wasn’t happening. “Like I said Seth, I came back for that title around your waist.” It was Seth’s turn to laugh, saying Angle didn’t do anything to deserve a shot. Angle goaded Seth in, saying a “has-been” like him should be an easy win. “Think about it, Seth. You want to go down in history as the greatest WWE Champion in history. You’ve already beaten John Cena, Daniel Bryan and you won the Shield Triple Threat at WrestleMania. You’re on your way. Adding a win over a former Olympic gold medalist would only add to your list of accomplishments.” Seth thought it over for a bit, before saying he liked the idea and agreed on one condition. “When I beat you at Backlash, you can never have a shot at my title again.” Angle responded, “I wouldn’t want it any other way.” Angle’s demeanor turned serious now. “But understand this, Seth. You will tap out at Backlash. If you don’t, I have no problem snapping your ankle in two.” Fear flashed across Seth’s face before Angle pulled out a mouthpiece, put it in his mouth and let out a roar.
JOHN CENA DEF. JINDER MAHAL W/ DREW MCINTYRE AND HEATH SLATER IN 5:46; Starting at the bottom, John Cena stood across the ring from Jinder Mahal. Jinder put up a strong fight and used the help of his fellow 3MB members to get under Cena’s skin. Cena withstood it and made him tap to the STF.
Renee Young stood by backstage with Daniel Bryan. She asked for his thoughts on CM Punk declining his offer for a Submissions match. Bryan said it was frustrating because it’s all he can think about right now. “When I get a day off, I don’t get to go home and enjoy my family. I have to see my wife in a neck brace. You did that Punk. I will not stop until I get another one on one shot at you, even if I have to beat it into you tonight.” Bryan walked off in a huff. He teams with Roman Reigns to take on Alexander Rusev and CM Punk in our main event!
A WWE Network promo was shown. To celebrate the return of Backlash on April 26th, fans can tune into the WWE Network this Sunday at 8PM EST to watch the first ever Backlash Pay-Per-View. Witness a huge WWE Championship match between Steve Austin and The Rock!
CODY RHODES DEF. FANDANGO W/ LAYLA IN 3:54; Clips were shown of the altercation between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton on Smackdown, resulting in their loss as a tag team. Cody was focused here and sent back the challenge of Fandango with the Cross Rhodes.
In the back, Emma was shown slowly peering out of a door. “Has she been hiding in a closet since her match?” asked Booker. Emma exited the closet and made a beeline down the hall. She made it to the parking lot and got to her car. She fumbled the keys and they hit the floor. As she picked them up, she looked back and saw Paige walking towards her with the steel chair in hand. The fans popped, but Emma made it into the car just in time. Paige swung the chair, hitting the driver’s side door, just before Emma could drive off.
Before the main event officially got underway, Bray Wyatt appeared on the Titantron. He announced that hasn’t been chaotic enough yet, so he changed the main event to be contested as a tornado tag. TORNADO TAG TEAM MATCH - DANIEL BRYAN AND ROMAN REIGNS DEF. ALEXANDER RUSEV AND CM PUNK W/ LANA IN 17:03; CM Punk did not like the announcement, because his plan to stay on the apron while Rusev went at it with Daniel Bryan was thwarted. Bryan slipped past Rusev and tackled Punk off the apron, brawling outside. Rusev and Reigns went toe-to-toe in the ring and Reigns never backed down. Rusev eventually helped Punk put Reigns through the announce table, leaving Bryan to take a beating from both men. Punk taunted him throughout. Rusev finally locked him in the Accolade and Punk knelt in Bryan’s face and shouted, “HOW’S YOUR SUBMISSIONS MATCH COMING ALONG?” Rusev’s hold was broken by a Superman punch from out of nowhere! Punk and Reigns traded blows, before Punk got hit with one too. Punk was then pulled into a small package by Bryan for the victory.
CM Punk couldn’t believe what just happened. He held his jaw and looked on in disbelief as Daniel Bryan rose and did the “Yes” taunt in his face. Roman Reigns stood next to Bryan, causing Punk to slide outside, while Alexander Rusev and Lana backed up the ramp.

- Bryan and Reigns beating WWE United States Champion Rusev and CM Punk in the Tornado Tag main event I think it is safe to say that after that win Bryan deserves a rematch at Backlash against Punk seeing as how he pinned Punk right in the middle of that ring and also Reigns deserves more or less a shot at the WWE United States Championship considering he beat Rusev in a Tag Team Match but Rusev is still undefeated in singles competition he hasn't lost a singles match yet or even been pinned or been made to submit in a one on one match but with him losing in a Tag Team Match it doesn't really hurt Rusev but at the same time it gives Reigns even more momentum heading into Backlash
- I mean with Emma in retreat from Paige I mean with Paige going after Emma it is almost like the WWE Women's Champion AJ Lee is like an afterthought in all of this so it makes me wonder if there will be a Triple Threat Match then for the WWE Women's Championship by adding Paige into the mix?
- With Cody Rhodes beating Fandango I mean Cody Rhodes is back on the winning side of things but I was actually expecting Orton to somehow show up in this match either during or after the match to cause either a DQ or a No Contest by attacking Cody Rhodes...I mean I can see their rivalry continuing especially after WrestleMania heading into Extreme Rules
- With Cena beating Mahal I can see this being a long road back to the top for Cena with this just being the beginning but I can see Wyatt making Cena jump through more hoops
- Seth Rollins vs Kurt Angle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash...if Angle loses he can't get another title shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as long as Rollins is the champion...those are some high stakes for Angle though while Rollins has everything to gain because Rollins he has the champion's advantage if he gets himself DQed or even counted out at Backlash Angle would win the match technically but that means he would still be without another title shot so it begs the question of whether this Dream Match will live up to its hype?
- So it makes me wonder what else Wyatt has planned
- Tyler Breeze beating Christian I mean ever since coming on to the scene Breeze has continued to gain momentum I mean he beat a former World Champion in Christian a former WWE United States and IC Champion a first ballot future WWE Hall of Famer and Breeze beat him so with that in mind I mean considering what he has already done by laying out both Ziggler and Miz I mean it seems Breeze wants the IC Title too and Neville is even willing to put his title on the line against Breeze and with Breeze accepting I mean how about Ziggler? I mean doesn't he get a rematch?
- AJ Lee the WWE Women's Champion teaming up with Charlotte Flair to beat Emma and Alicia Fox I mean Emma more or less bailing on this match I was expecting AJ Lee to be the one who would be chasing Emma to the back or at least chasing her to get back in the ring but seeing Charlotte get the win here it seems Charlotte ever since she has burst on to the scene she has managed to stay undefeated I mean it begs the question of where Charlotte goes from here?
- With Rowan & Harper beating the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships by beating The Usos in Falls Count Anywhere well major assist goes to the WWE Tag Team Champions Kidd & Cesaro even though Harper & Rowan didn't even need the help from them to win this match but at the same time a win for Wyatt's boys basically means that they more or less should be put back into the conversation as far as the Tag Titles go
