As you all know, I am a Hardy mark. One thing I always wondered is why Jakks produced so few Jeff Hardy's in his last WWE run? He was arguably their most popular star in 08/09 and yet we almost went a whole year without getting one I believe. What's the deal? Anyone know?

There was a lull? I'd guess it would have to do with his Wellness Policy violation before Mania 24?

If anything I'd say they made WAY too many Jeffs. Ringside had 3 different Jeff Hardy exclusives, if not more. The fact that Jeff Hardy was a top guy in 08/09 is just another of the many reasons I havnt watched wrestling since 2005.

Well he had his AD 1 Figure, then got booted from the company and went to TNA/Indy until Late 2006. So when he came back Jakks produced a couple DAs of him and kept making them until the end of Jakks contract w/ WWE. Then Jeff left kind of in between Jakks and Mattel. So Mattel never made an OFFICIAL figure of him. So really when you look back on it Jakks was pretty consistent with his figures.

As a wrestler I dont think Jeff is anything special. As an action figure I think we got way too many of him. I say this because the last few Ringside exclusives we got were mostly Jeff Hardy. Think about it, Earl Hebner, Sting, Sting and Hulk two pack and then Hardy, Hardy, Hardys two pack. On top of which Hardy was in almost every set of figures Jakks sold in stores. Hardy is to Jakks what Cena is to Mattel.

Dude I think you're going a little overboard here and maybe your anti hardy bias is getting in the way. They didn't come out with 3 hardys in a row, you're way off they kept them spread out. You completely forgot the Aries figure that was released before the metal mask hardy. Jakks did fine with the spacing of their exclusives, you mix up ringside exclusives w tna shop exclusives too. In that case they released the same amount of sting exclusives than they did jeff figures. There's till remnants of he sets w jeff in stores, but no jeff. Because wwe fans will still buy the hell out of his stuff

And they are closing their doors....so that's not saying much. as for in the WWE he was never one of "the Guys". They were in no order Taker, Austin, Tirple H, Rock and Cena towards the end of the license. So they were the guys who got tons of figures during their time in the WWE.

They are not closing their doors, stop being so pessimistic. And I severely doubt that was a lack of Hardys. You (OP) probably don't remember it rightly. There were more than enough Hardy figures, across all the lines, including CS.

I have nothing against Hardy as a wrestler, he's part of this new school of wrestlers that have little to nothing that sets them apart from one another. Now to Hardy's credit he does the wrist sleeves and paint so that's pretty cool to me. But that's all just flash, as far as in ring he's the exact same as every other guy in his group. I actually like Matt Hardy better than Jeff. As a person Jeff has, from what I've read online, had issues with drugs. A guy like this should not be pushed as any company's top guy. Again though I only think I know because it's what I've read online, for all I know the guy is clean.

Because wwe fans will still buy the hell out of his stuff Ringside exclusive, TNA shop exclusive, it's all Jakks. TNA has idk how many guys on its roster yet Jakks decided at least 3 of it's exclusive figures will be Jeff Hardy? I cant see any kind of financials so I can only guess. Seeing as how Jakks made at least 3 Jeff Hardy exclusive figs those must be selling extremely well? Im not a fan of Hardy to the extent I would want 1 exclusive, let alone 3 or more. I just wonder would it really have been a financial loss if Jakks made an exlusive figure of anyone else? Kurt Angle? anyone else? I wish I was familiar with TNA so that I could name other guys in the company. TNA aside it would have been nice, to me at least, if Jakks gave us a Scott Steiner figure as was promised instead of another Jeff Hardy. What about a Cornet figure? So many guys Jakks could make but instead they made Hardy after Hardy after Hardy. I just think its funny anyone would say they didnt get enough Hardy figures when there is a list of guys Jakks said they would make but never did. How about they make those for the next exclusives? Instead though im sure it'll be another Hardy fig.
