To start something like this, yo have to have some image from the first main event of the first WrestleMania. It's where it all started Definitely one of the most iconic images in wrestling history. Yeah, Andre may have been slammed by other wrestlers prior to this, but on the stage of the largest WrestleMania crowd, with the build up, it began a big deal image. It may not have been the first WWF ladder match, but it would be the one that really made the match type a staple for decades to come. Much like the pic of Andre being slammed by Hogan, this is an image that become an iconic one in wrestling in general. The start of the Austin era, of Stone Cold being now officially the top dog of the WWF While we can look back at it now and realize how bad of a move it really was, the site of Stone Cold shaking hands with Vince McMahon, as partners in crime, and not as a set up for an Austin attack, shocked a lot I might not be a fan of this match like a lot of people are, it still is one of those matches, that really had the big match feel to it, and felt like it was something special, and important, and really helped spark Hogan's final great run as a wrestler. While he would end up having matches after leaving the WWE, for me, the real end of one of the most celebrated careers in wrestling history The end of another era mixed with a show of respect between two icons in the business.
