Thanks to joshvandam his change of focus for collecting, I was able to grab a figure I've wanted since it became known to exist: Here he is w/the rest of my set (minus the last remaining: Wendi Richter) I haven't even been a collector for over 10 years, but I do still enjoy figures and hanging out here to see what's going on, being discovered, unveiled, etc. Somewhere at some point I decided to give in a little and start collecting a little, and chose this set of Winston Toys eraser figures from the mid '80s. Back when I was into collecting, only 3 (2 Hulks, Snuka, Sheik) were known to have been discovered. Someone even found a variant Snuka that looked exactly like his LJN figure (similar to Hulk) and some say there are 2 skin-tone Snukas (see my pic). Only JYD and Piper in this series were modeled after their cartoon character though, which is why they are, to me, far and away the best. Piper especially, he looks so awesome. The only remaining one I would need is Wendi Richter, though not being a true collector anymore and not nearly being as sweet as the Piper figure, I didn't shell out for it. Maybe one day it'll happen but I'm just happy I got this guy. How many exist? I haven't seen but 2 or 3 go up for sale online in about 10 years, although a couple times the same one got passed around between people trying to cash in. Beyond that, I've seen 1 loose example and know a couple guys who post here have one tucked away in their collections. That's about half a dozen and less when MOC by what I can figure. Surely there must be more out there but either way you can see this is a rare piece. Even nicer, mine is unpunched!

Glad it went to a great home! I had only come across 1 other in all my years of collecting but it was nowhere near as nice as the one you got. Very nice figure you have there!

I got my first two erasers recently. I bought a lot that had a Snuka and Hogan in it. They are pretty cool.
Great score.

That would have been preferable but once in a lifetime occurrences don't happen with much frequency. It's OK though, I've had my deal of the century purchases long ago in my heyday.

Yea unfortunately. Not sure if it was lost over the years somehow, or if some were released without a chain.

Wow!! That's awesome man. What a great, rare figure. I don't think I've ever seen one MOC before. I'd definitely hold onto that one for sure.

I never knew they made erasers. I can only imagine how many of these were confiscated by teachers
