Because the fans found someone that they can relate to, exactly what they have been saying on TV. His talent is match by few between the ropes and it's great to see. He's not a John Cena, Randy Orton or Batista type that has been shoved down all of our throats, he was chosen by the audience to be in the position he is in.. By overrated YES chants ?? Because he is routinely the only person to garner any kind of a reaction from the crowd. You're not blind or a fool (or maybe you are, I don't know) but it's fairly obvious why he is in the spot he is in.

Those who perform the best should get a shot at the top, not those who get it simply because of their size or 'look.' Over the last year, no one has performed better than Daniel Bryan. Whether it's in-ring, or how he's gotten himself over: he has been the best performer in the WWE for quite some time now. He's now being rewarded for all the work he's put in. This. Just keep reading this and that will be your answer. Nobody on the roster has outperformed him consistently for a long time now. I honestly can't think of one bad Daniel Bryan match. Simply put, he delivers like the best guy in the company and was rewarded as such.

It's not just the "YES!" chants. There are also several times during his matches (and hell, even when he's not even in the arena) when there are very loud "Daniel Bryan!" chants. And there a lot of folks every show wearing Daniel Bryan shirts, which the "office" likes very much. And now the "YES!" foam fingers are starting to sell. Hmmm . . . Makes lots money for the company through merchandise sales. Has been in the most highly rated segments of Raw quite often recently. Is wildly popular among the casual audience and the hardcore wrestling fans and has gotten a huge surge in popularity over the course of the last 3 years. The "YES!" thing has been going strong for over 2 years now. Is the most versatile wrestler on the roster, probably the best wrestler in the Western Hemisphere. Nope, can't see why he just headlined the biggest show of the year.

besides the submission move point (sharpshooter was of course, awesome) people could have & probably did say the same things about this guy 2 decades ago I hate them both, I wanted Bryan to win but now they should give the title to brock lesnar, then give it to reigns or cessaro or returning punk. I'd love a match rvd vs lesnar for the rights to be called best heyman guy

lol i dont think hes all that great. Too many high spots and a bit too unorthodox for my liking but i certainly enjoy him.
I loved him when he was a heel just shortly before the whole Yes movement kicked off. One of my fave promos with him was from smackdown when he told AJ off for giving him the "kiss of death" lol. He was more comedic as a heel and it played to his strenghts imo. We will see how long this face turn lasts but i expect him to turn heel before too long...hopefully.

Yet you still have an issue with the most basic of English grammar. Anyway, you've gotten your answer. Irregardless if you're a big fan of DBry or not, guy has worked his ass off to get where he is. The Yes chant has gone a LONG way to putting him in the position he's in, but his ring work is what got him to that point. Remember, he was a former Heavyweight champion before the chants started..

How can a chant be overrated?

I am sure I am going to get roasted by DB fans, But I am least bothered ! Personally, I can't stand this guy ! To ME, he is EXACTLY like how Triple H describes him (story wise). I totally understand this guy is a good wrestler technically ! Is he quick & agile ? For sure ! But is he worthy in the top level ? I don't think so ! Ok, this is my point of view. But honestly, can you people tell me why is he so special ? I mean this guy.......... 1) Has NO good look 2) On Top Of It, He Has A Goat Face ! 3) Is Too Small For "Heavyweight Championship" Level ! 4) Has Crappy Finishing Move (Running Knee HHH's version is way superior than this) ! 5) Has Crappy Submission Move (Yes Lock ?? Even the name sucks ) ! And yet, I wonder why WWE pushed this guy way.........way.......... WAY over the top ! Did he get his push because of "overrated" YES chants Discuss ! 1. It's not about a look at all 2. Triple H has a big nose ( pointless but so was yours) 3. Hmmmmm too small people come to mind, rey, bert, flair, shawn ect not big guys at all but could wrestle and better then the so called "big guys" 4. It's a running flying knee, aka kinda a shinning wizard. Plus triple h was a h Knee lift. 5. It's a take on a cross face and it's a good submission move, although you probably like the stfu. There you go all points done. You have your own voice tho like we all do but next time do your homework, cos your points on not like Daniel Bryan are pointless it's like me saying I don't like cena cos he wins and he's banging nikki.

I didn't realize attractiveness was a required championship criteria. Also, he's marrying Brie Bella, so he must have something going for him. 3.) His Size: 4.) The running knee is something that can be telegraphed and allow the audience to build a sense of excitement. Most finishers are telegraphed`and involve signature spots. Also, Triple H stole his face smasher from Harley Race, so, although you may consider his version superior, you should really know the origin of the move you enjoy so much. 5.) Speaking of knowing the origins of moves, the Yes Lock is actually a very painful "hooking" move developed by "Judo" Gene LeBell. If you'll remember, when Bryan joined the WWE, he called the move the Lebell Lock before the name was changed to the No Lock, then to the Yes Lock. Gene LeBell is legitimately one of the toughest men to ever live. The Yes Lock may have a silly name, but it will break your shoulder.

Doesn't have a good look?! His look is one of the defining aspects of his entire gimmick and allure! Had he looked any different, he would not have the success he is now enjoying. Therefore, his look is perfect.
Bray Wyatt is a fatty with long hair, a big bushy beard and he wears Hawaiian shirts, straw hats and two tone gangster shoes with tracky bottoms and a sleeveless t-shirt. John Cena would look ridiculous in them, but Bray Wyatt has a great look because it's a contributing factor to his on screen presence and has helped him to develop his gimmick and his relationship with the audience.
The running knee is the most legitimate looking finisher on television. Don't tell me you think that a martial arts expert flying at you from across the ring and striking you in the head with the point of his knee isn't a strong enough move to put you out for the count. Same goes for the Lebell Lock. It's excruciating.
And, as for your comment on his height, I suppose you would have said Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels shouldn't have been in the main event of WrestleMania because they were too small. Or Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. How absurd.

Even the name sucks ) ! And yet, I wonder why WWE pushed this guy way.........way.......... WAY over the top ! Did he get his push because of "overrated" YES chants Discuss ! 1 - it's the "just an ordinary guy" thing... 2 - see 1... 3 - Rey Mysterio... Eddie Guerrero... Chris Benoit... 4 - Whats the difference between the flying knee and the superkick? both are hits to the head coming from the corner... The knee even has a running start to build momentum like a spear.... 5 - its a LeBell Lock... Why do you wonder? He had a following before he was on Tough enough.. WWE saw this when he was released and they had to bring him back 2 months later... how many guys has this happened to? He won the US title and the Heavyweight title before the YES chants began. It was during this time with the Heavyweight title though that the YES chants from Bryan started and the NO chants began... this brought even more of the fans into it even though he was a heel... (sorta like how Kurt Angle was best as a heel because of how he acted when the fans taunted him...) they had him doing the "I'm not the weak link" angle with Kane... which I think was getting old and ran its course by the time he faced Orton and got hurt... which gave him the sympathy and underdog thing which led to Cena.... The thing is.. the "Super Bryan" push only came about in Summerslam against Cena.. I mean... before that, they wouldn't have had him kicking out of a Batista bomb or RKO or Pedigree... And they played out the storyline for the last 8 months before putting the title on him again.. that's great imo... it let his popularity grow even more... But now that he's won... there's going to be more and more people that want him to lose... The thing is.. will WWE let him turn heel again when this happens... another thing on the "pushed over the top" thing.. some guys they push right at the beginning only to have them lose to the champion at the time.. some they "build" up... look at how Tenai was when he came back to WWE, or when Ryback entered... or Mason Ryan... then look at Bryans path and now Cesaro's..
