I need to remove face paint off of a head. The face paint happens to be around the eyes. I have the chemical to take it off and have removed about 90% of it. However, around the eye area I need some ideas on what I could use to remove it? Like what kind of tool. I was using a Q tip to take it off the face. But those are too thick to use around the eye without fear of removing the eye. I also tried unbending a paperclip, taping a small piece of papertowel around it. That worked somewhat. But now I am right near the eye and even that seems to thick. Any suggestions? What do you guys use?

Sometimes a sharp toothpick is enough to scrape some paint out of small areas. I have even dipped it in chemicals to help. It's worth a try.

With Mattel, I usually take a finer-tip pencil, pen will work too, take a cotton ball and string it out then wrap it really tight around the tip of the pencil…squirt some goof-off into a soda bottle cap or something, dip the cotton tipped pencil or pen in it, will take it off and absorb the gunk so it's a nice clean final look.

Thanks. I might try this next.

Which head is it? I usually just use a toothpick/thumbtack for the smaller areas.

I use a cotton ball and dip it in nail polish remover and rub it on the figure and the paint comes right off.

the tip of an exacto knife, best and safest way. small back and forth strokes and it will come right off.
