I went to my local TRU to see if there was anything new & picked up 2 more Billy Gunn's, which seems to be the easiest figure for me to find of the E27 Series. Anyway, there was a kid probably around 9 who was looking at the figures with his Grandma. He asked me, "Is there any Ultimate Warrior's?" I said to him, "There are a few Two-Packs up front that have a Sheamus in it." His Grandma had a hand basket that had the E26 Warrior in it, which I have a few of & was surprised to see that the figure was still there after Warrior's passing. The kid said, "My Dad got the new Warrior DVD & he's my new favorite guy from the past." I thought it was really cool to hear a kid say that as I remember 20-Years Ago when I was his age thinking the Warrior was the greatest. It kind of brightened my day & made me even more proud to be a collector & to be apart of this community of people who share the same love I have for wrestling & wrestling figures. This board has been a highlight at times for me during days that haven't been so great & it's cool to see young fans like this kid who are being brought up with watching Legends.

You should have handed him a Billy Gunn and opened his eyes to the D-Generation-X, the. Told his Grandma to SUCK IT.
I love seeing a younger generation getting more involved in wrestling history. Eventually we all start to enjoy the yesteryears of prowrestling, an miss them.

Warrior is likeable for kids. Lots of colors and intensity, I wouldn't be surprised if there are more Warriors now than ever.

Everything they see is new to them, however seeing them live in person, or weekly live on TV is an experience they won't get.

Then his grandma went home and sold the Elite Warrior on eBay. The end.

My 7 year old sons favorite wrestler for the past 2 years was the Ultimate Warrior. In a sea of Cenas, Daniel Bryans,CM Punks and Rey Mysterios, he picked Warrior based on my dvd viewing habits and my fandom. I got hin the L4 Warrior for Christmas a couple years ago. He lit up like our Christmas tree when he saw that. Still his favorite figure. Im a very proud papa.......he likes Flair too......

I love this story dude. It reminds of a kid I met about a year ago. I got off work and decided to check out the figures before I went home. While I was browsing around this kid came up and started looking through the wrestlers. He was looking for Elite 19 Brock and told me about his family being at a Toys R Us and getting the Shawn Michaels in the referee shirt. We talked wrestling for a few minutes. When I asked him who his favorites were, he told me he didnt really like a lot of the current guys and his favorite was either Stone Cold or Rock. It kinda blew my mind, cause although Rock was at Mania, this kid wasnt really old enough to have seen much from either of them.

I had a very similar thing happen to me a few weeks ago. I was figure hunting at TRU and a kid that was probably around 7 or 8 years old was freaking out over the Ultimate Warrior/Sheamus set. His mom started talking to me and mentioned that he watches the DVDs and the WWE Network all the time and "thinks all of the older ones are better than the new ones." She said his favorites were Warrior, Bret Hart, Macho Man, and "the old Sting," and that he was there looking for a figure of Andre the Giant. I did tell her about the Legends one and that he would be out again in a few months.
It gave me a lot of hope, and also made me face-palm a bit for how blatantly obvious it is to everyone but WWE creative that letting wrestlers have *actual characters* makes them timeless.
