I was doing some ebay searching and noticed that the Hurricane basic figure can still be had for under $20 loose. This really suprises me as I think it is one of Mattel's top 10 basic style figures made so far. Plus, you include the fact that it was Hurricane's only Mattel release, I'd think this figure would be more saught after.
Another figure that I am suprised with is series 4 William Regal. The figure itself isn't one of Mattel's better efforts, but considering this is his only Mattel basic and he is still on the WWE roster, $15 loose seems like a steal.

Mike Knox is also relatively cheap as well. Perhaps partially this due to relative obscurity, but I also wonder were these not all elites if they wouldn't be 30,40, and 50 dollar figures loose. Because William Regal's elite fetches a pretty penny.
The Hurricane and Mike Knox basics are among my favorites of all time.

I'm surprised mike Knox isn't as mentioned above. And elite 8 regal. He's only around $30

E19 Liz. I have one MOC and one loose. I'm still convinced it's value will increase in a few years.

It's hard to say what ones will go up in value and you really have to sell at the right time to get good money because you never know whats around the corner in terms of repeats ( much like stocks, these things fluctuate, remember Skip Sheffield anyone?) and I wouldnt recommend speculating on them but I think Flashbacks have the best potential for gain as well as guys who dont have much of a chance at getting another Elite. I'm not sure about Basic's.

I feel both Mike Knox and the Hurricane figures are personally great figures and have seen both over time on eBay sell for high prices as well as retail pricing. I remember when the first basic Ezekiel Jackson that was in a set with Kozlov was highly sought after and would sell on eBay loose for over $40. As it was stated, it's like the stock market, things will sky rocket and at some point drop. I thought the Texas Tornado figure would be one that would have a high price over its head being that it was the first figure of him since his Hasbro, but his figure I've seen sell for the current price of a basic on eBay, so it's really supply and demand.

E19 Elizabeth, for sure. I saw a vendor's table at an indy show selling one MOC for $10, which I would have definitely snagged if I didn't already have one.

I went to a comic con in my city last month and a booth had 3 E19 Liz's and 3 E19 HBK's for $12 each. I should have bought the HBK's for the belts but I already have 3 euro titles and I already spent like $200.

I would have probably picked those up for customs. That's the best HBK Mattel has done yet, IMO.

Right there with you guys on Liz. It's a very nice figure and likely to be her only one for who knows how long.
Another one who surprises me is Ricky Steamboat from the Defining Moments series. Just a beautiful, vibrant, and detailed figure with great accessories. Yet you can find complete loose ones south of 30 bucks without much trouble.

I paid £8 for E19 HBK MOC when it came out.
Suprised Booker T's basic isn't that high.

Well, I picked up an extra Bruno Sammartino to keep MOC with the thought that it would be worth something at some point.... I have a JAKKS version signed, which I'm pretty sure is worth a little bit.... However, I noticed the Mattel Sammartino shelf-warming quite a bit so I'm pretty sure those things are a dime-a-dozen at this point. I now have a spare MOC Zeb Colter, I ordered one from Ringside then found a couple at retail and couldn't resist... I wonder if he'll be worth something in a few months/years.... seemed like he was a tough one to find....

Same reason why Michael Jordan is considered the greatest basketball player ever and Wilt Chamberlian isn't even mentioned....With that being said, Bruno is one of my favorite elite figures and I went out of my way to obtain one. Zeb might be a figure that has potential to rise in value as it will probably be his only figure as well.

Do a completed listing search on ebay and you will find several loose versions of both figures that have sold for less than $20. There was even a MOC Hurricane that sold for $17 shipped recently.

I feel like Zeb might have a "shelf-life" in WWE and eventually will make the rounds on the Independent circuit.... Same with my spare MOC Mattel Bruno.... I was lucky enough to meet him and get my JAKKS one signed, maybe I'll have the same opportunity for my extra Mattel version!
