I'd even be willing to say that right now, Rollins is the best in the ring out of all 3...and I'm legit a Reigns fan. I'm fully behind him being the face of the company.
I wont deny that. But I simply say, wait...give it time.
When Rocky Maivia came out all bright colored with his Kid N Play greasy hair cut did we ever, EVVVVVERRRRRRR think he'd become The Rock?
When he joined The Nation, did we ever think he'd be the one out of the group to succeed?
...now can anyone argue that The Rock is pretty solidly placed in the Top 10 most famous pro wrestlers ever, now? (Whether you like him or not, you say The Rock, and people know who you're talking about. Period.)
Like I said, let's wait, and see.

I can't wait to watch Reigns shove it down every hater's throat, if true. People can't stand a success. The dude's been part of one of the most popular, and now historic teams, in pro wrestling history... He's consistently improved, and because they talk about him being the next "face" -- people are hating already. GTFO with that noise. Seriously. Oh yeah -- and that spear on Ryback last Monday, was a think of effing BEAUTY. Right! Because people just couldn't stand that Daniel Bryan guy.....

Reigns vs. Batista would be pretty good too.

So really it's all about keeping Triple H in the spotlight so he can make 15 minute promos every week. Yea.

Just like they did Cena. Punk. Hogan. Even Stone Cold. So -- what's your point?

That's a very broad, and general response, that lacks any reasoning or considerable effort to explain the HOW of your disagreement. What, of anything I've stated in this entire conversation, is out of the realm of "reality" -- or ridiculous to the point my knowledge of facts can be questioned? Cena; Punk; Hogan; Stone Cold...4 of the most famous pro wrestlers around, have all been incredibly over, and fallen out of the fans' graces, on International television...that's not fact? FACT: WWE seems set on Roman Reigns being a HUGE part of the company moving forward. Whether any of you like it, or not. Whether you think he needs work, or not. And the FACT is, outside of those of you hating on him here on the boards, the "average" fan, as can be witnessed when we turn the TV on -- is taking to him. As for Daniel Bryan -- he's something fresh, and new. People will support it as long as he can remain "fresh, and new" You want a more apt comparison. Jericho. Guerrero. Mysterio. All comparable performers, all had fans turn on them at some point. People are fickle. It's basic psychology. You know, science? People on here treat him like the second coming, and he's really not. Hard worker? Absolutely. Talented? Without question. Entertaining? Arguable. Impressive? Not really. These are the same people that bash HHH, yet he clearly knows what he's doing. The same people that want Punk back, yet he left them (his own fans) selfishly. Pro Wrestling hipsters, more or less. Come on.

Hm, other than "presence" and Trips' backing what exactly does Reigns have that Ambrose and Rollins don't? Dean is roughly the same size as him, and he's better on the mic and Rollins can fly and is a great underdog. They could both be future WWE Champs (They won't) but this time next year they'll be lucky to make it on the card for Raw, can't even imagine a PPV.

I want you to prove to me when the fans stopped caring about Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho.. Hell dude, prove to me when fans stopped caring about Eddie Guerrero.. Your FACT: of Roman Reigns.. Is not fact. It's speculation.. Reigns gets the same good reaction/no reaction that alot of people get depending on what area of the country they are in. You want a fact? FACT: Crowd reaction for WWE programming varies in different areas of the United States. You're throwing together a bunch of words that ultimately make no sense.. I mean wrestling "hipsters".. Are you kidding me? You can not claim that people "can't stand a success" when that is simply not true.

Undertaker is at the point that if he doesn't want to do it, he doesn't. ![](http://25.media.tumblr.com/cfbdec4b3ead60e459a234b52a72ca71/tumblr_mo92m6vnP51qes1jpo1_500.jpg) Yeah Ambrose is so pudgy. He and Rollins are just as big as Reigns, for those of you with eyes. You want pudgy? Here's Uso body Roman Reigns. ![](http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/1b/bc/69/1bbc69ac84f167647a212d27b93a58f4.jpg) No. I didnt say Amrbrose WAS pudgy. I said Ambrose LOOKS pudgy and that picture only reinforces my thought. Forget the body....look at his face. He and Rollins and are no where NEAR as big as Reigns. Obviously all 3 are in phenomenal shape. But Reigns is just physically more imposing. That picture does make it look closer, but you just refuse to accept the fact that Reigns is a bigger man. Edit: I would agree about UT being at the point of doing what he wants. But lets also keep in mind, the streak ended on Vince's call....not UT. So I think its still VERY possible that that was a WWE decision for Ambrose and not a UT decision. B/c if UT wanted to face the best member of Shield....it would have been Rollins, not Ambrose. Wow, so you know all the 100% truth behind that. Interesting.

Are you kidding me? You can not claim that people "can't stand a success" when that is simply not true. People were already complaining about Hogan before the NWO/heel turn. He had children crying. People throwing bottles. Stone Cold had people nearly "What"-ing him out of the building. Chris Jericho was the first Undisputed champion, and he still had people shrugging off his returns. Fans got pissed at Guerrero with that whole "Mysterio son angle" stuff. Perhaps not at Eddie himself, but the angle was so terrible, it rubbed them both the wrong way. And Mysterio has simply been a victim of time. Why do I have to prove what is right there for you to watch? That is common knowledge in the history of professional wrestling? I'm stringing together words? Being a negative know-it-all about a subject usually classifies you as a "Hipster" -- a Pro Wrestling hipster? Or, what is it people use? Smarks? Same thing. These people get pissed when they see someone succeed. They're cynical, know-it-all, downers. They seem more interested in the failure, than in the potential of success. Reigns has been getting a pop regardless of where they're at for a couple months now. Since the Wyatt/Shield battles. The simple fact that people are getting pissed because of the resounding SUPPORT I've shown Reigns, is enough to prove that point. Rather than wait and see if he's a success, these people want to tear him down now...even after he's done more than enough to deserve better than that... Again, my points have been made off the same show we've all been watching, and being around these boards, listening to people talk about these things for years now. I've hardly strung any words together that are meaningless. You're simply handing me a generality in the hope that I back myself into a corner in this discussion so that you would, by default, make some sort of point you think you're trying to make. You take issue with my statement of "people can't stand success"? Fair enough, I could have phrased it better. That's me acknowledging I didn't make my initial point entirely properly -- but don't accuse me of making no sense, when I've now had to repeat myself with basic knowledge, and things you can tune in on Monday night to see yourself. I've still not made a "ridiculous" statement.

I like it, I like the idea and everything that has gone into it...despite Reigns' shortcomings when looked at individually I am a fan of all three members of The Shield and am glad they are working with Evolution.

I've still not made a "ridiculous" statement. What the hell are you talking about man... Handing you generality? Some sort of point that I think I'm trying to make? You backed yourself into a corner before I joined this conversation, in fact, I joined this conversation because you were standing in a corner yelling absurd things and trying to pass it off as a part of factual history or "common knowledge" that we've all "watched for years". When Hogan turned heel in '96.. I guess people in the crowd that littered the ring with trash weren't fans. The FACT that they destroyed that ring, almost hitting Mean Gene with pieces of trash in the process proves that HATING Hulk Hogan was literally the last thing any of them wanted to do. And the "WHAT" chant had nothing to do with dislike for Stone Cold Steve Austin. He had it on a shirt, it was his gimmick.. Do you not remember him yelling "WHAT" at people? You talk about common knowledge but you're making claims that are simply not true.. People were not tired of Hulk Hogan when he turned heel, and people weren't tired of Stone Cold.. I watched Stone Cold rise and retire in WWE and I can't tell you one single time that the crowd hated seeing him. WWE turned him heel, and people still cheered Austin week in and week out. I've also never seen a Chris Jericho return not receive a massive ovation.. And the only thing you said that made any sense was that Rey Mysterio has been a victim of time.. Notice in my previous reply I didn't ask you to prove that to me. And with you saying "perhaps not at Eddie himself" further proves that what you say is scattered non-sense. The wrestling community goes well beyond this website. And I don't think anyone's pissed at you for liking Roman Reigns, bro. But you can annoy people with your fact based system of askew wrestling knowledge.

a 3 page argument on Reigns and why he shouldn't get a push......now it has turned into a comparison of Physiques.
Since it started off as a topic about HHH vs Reigns and remained that way for 20 seconds?
Locked.
