I feel like Batwoman's best episodes come when they focus on Beth/Alice. I think that's a real problem when the best episodes happen when your lead character is barely in it. I'm not watching Batwoman? But my friend is & that is her exact complaint too...... |

Batwoman has been awesome and I absolutely love Alice.
But I'm very skeptical about their need to recast the lead. I really, really liked Ruby Rose.

I hate this thread has pretty much died a slow, painful death. With that said, I didn't want to start a new thread just to let y'all know that I re watched Mask of the Phantasm yesterday and it still holds up.
Also fwiw I know the film isn't part of the DCEU or whatever its called.

MOTP is excellent...I love the way the pre joker gangster & Bruce have that moment...awesome. TAS and the Timmverse stuff is DCs pinnacle achievement in my book. Handily. |

But the themes present in the OG version of the show are timeless. I remember checking out the TV guide back in 97 and seeing the debut of TNBA over here. Man I was really annoyed at the redesign of Joker, Catwoman, Penguin & Jim Gordon. Scarecrow, Bane, Ivy, Riddler & Mr Freeze were awesome redesigns though.... |

Pretty amazing to get Affleck and Keaton back in one fell swoop. Just nuts how differently studios are approaching these situations right now than they would have just a couple of years ago.

I just found out about Batfleck returning. I dig it. Sure the movies he's been in have been meh, but that's not his fault. Him & Cavill are perfect for these roles, just give them better material to work with... please.

My excitement for Affleck and Keaton returning to their roles can’t be quantified. And the crazy thing is that this is supposedly only the tip of the iceberg. DC Fandom is today and I guess a ton of other surprises will be revealed as well.
My guess is Ezra’s Flash start in the normal timeline with Affleck, messes up the timeline, and ends up with Keaton. Rest of the movie is Flash and Keaton attempting to fix the timelines. It either ends with Affleck retiring or it opens up the rumored Affleck HBO series. Either way this is amazing news.
Is it too much to ask for a Clooney cameo with the bat nipples as well?

A lot of this has to do with the AT&T and WB merger from a few years ago. WB were the ones who really messed things up for DC Films. It’s being said with AT&T in charge now that they’re the ones who have given the go on the Snyder Cut and bringing Keaton and Affleck back. |

I’m both excited and not excited about The Suicide Squad at the same time. Some of it looks good (Shark, Thinker, Bloodsport) plus Rooker, Fillion and Dastmalchian always have good performances.
But like why soooo many characters? Either half of them are in there to be killed immediately and make a point or nobody’s getting any screen time.

Love the new costume for Harley. Looks a lot more like the Arkham games now and nice to at least have her signature colors. Anything to wash away the Birds Of Prey look. 🤢 lol

So The Batman trailer is well made, but a few things that bother me.
- I get this is a young Bruce but the costume looks too tactical and goofy to me. After getting the perfect comic representation with Affleck’s suits, they went back to the tactical look from The Dark Knight. Him having lifts in his shoes was funny to me as well and I’m just not into the collar and cowl.
- Fans complained that Affleck was too brutal, yet are excited over Pattinson literally beating a man into a coma at the very least (if not to death). The hypocrisy here is ridiculous to me.
The trailer did it’s thing and got me hyped, but I’m still not on the Pattinson train yet. His comments about not going hardcore into working out annoys me because that’s a key characteristic of Bruce’s character. The voice sounded good but again, something is off with the look to me.

I liked The Batman trailer... intrigued by the gangs dedicated to Joker & the glimpse of Catwoman.
Also like the casting of Wright as Gordon. I think that's on point.

Flash is one of if not my favorite DC characters and I just hate Miller in the role. There's so much "A list" talent that they could have put in the role that would have worked better. |
