HBO & Netflix are intense bitter rivals man. This won't be on Netflix... In Ireland & UK this will be on Sky Box Office or Sky Atlantic...no doubt. They seem to have an exclusive deal with HBO Thanks for the info man I cut the Sky cord over a decade ago I will have to wait for the DVD. Ah you'll get it someplace. Yeah that HBO/Netflix thing is fiery enough....🔥🔥🔥

This was a much better film than what Joss put together. I liked the subtle humor Zack did over Joss’ forced humor. As well Wonder Woman was shot better in this. I’m assuming Snyder is confident Warner and HBO will wanna do a sequel to this with the sequel baiting we got towards the end.

Loved the Snyder Cut. The four hours flew by and every character was a vast improvement over what Whedon gave us.

Never say never but Zack said the other day that this is his last DC movie. If it does well it may open the possibility of continuing with Affleck in his own movie or show, or possibly convince WB to bring back Cavill, but Zack seemed pretty confident he was done with DC.

I’ve only watched an hour and stopped. It just dragged for me. I’ll have to retry another time when I’m more awake. I know it’s his thing, but holy hell not everything has to be slow motion.

A vast improvement over the Cinema cut. But that's like saying finding 500 quid is better than a poke in the eye.
I enjoyed it but Millar as Flash is still awful. Pity we won't see a follow up.
Also seeing some unreasonable poison for Whedon around. It's pretty obvious he was hired to do the movie the way WB wanted & got a quick payday.
I want to see Batfleck vs Leto's Joker bad.

Some criticisms I had with the Snyder Cut:
- Way too many slo-mo scenes. I didn't mind the length of the film in general, but when it was slo-mo after slo-mo after slo-mo, it tended to drag. - That awkward hand-touch scene with Bruce and Diana both grabbing the mouse at the same time. Gave me "Wow, he really IS tall" vibes that I hated in the Whedon Cut. - The score was all over the place, and also a bit repetitive. - I also missed the Batman opener from the Whedon cut. When he interrogates the Parademon. That scene felt very Batman-y to me so I was sad to see it not included.
Some triumphs though:
- Cyborg and Flash's fleshed out introductions. While I think they should have just gotten movies first, these introductions were necessary to give the audience a reason to invest in the characters. WB cutting these originally was just a real poor move. - Steppenwolf actually had dimensions! In the Whedon Cut, he was a pretty basic character. But here, he had actual drive, a real character. I thought that was a good addition. - Barry's timey wimey speed was pretty cool. Felt unnecessary for Supe's resurrection scene but was clearly just to show you he can do that so that the finale can happen. I would have fixed this by showing this in a solo Flash film first. - I LOVED Leto's portrayal of Joker. I see some people criticizing his laugh, but I thought it was eerie and sadistic. This Joker knows his role in Batman's life and he plainly doesn't give a f*** about what he does. Plus his dead eyes were super cool. I hope we get more Batfleck with this Joker. The Robin dialogue was awesome. While I felt the Knightmare was clearly sequelbait and lowkey unnecessary, I enjoyed it for what it was: a glimspe into the future.
I'm excited to hear everyone else's opinions on here.

They really went out of their way to ruin that movie.
Loved the Snyder Cut and will be watching it again this evening.

Saw the movie twice already and I’m currently having it play again for background noise as I’m typing this up. I don’t know how to write movie reviews so this might be all over the place.
Everything about this version is way better than what came out in 2017. First off I want to say that the 4 hours went by so fast for me. The first time I watched it my 8 year old saw it with me and she didn’t even once mention it being to long.
Also the aspect ratio didn’t bother me, you notice it but after awhile you kind of just get use to it, at least I did. I know it was filmed that way for IMAX and its a shame I can’t watch it the way it was intended too.
In my opinion Cyborg/Ray Fisher is the star of this movie. Without giving spoilers away there is a moment where I got teary eyed. I’m glad they explained more his back story. Kind of makes you wonder why they took all that out in Joss Whedon’s version.
I like how they portrayed the Flash in this one. He didn’t have any of those stupid one liners like the 2017 version, “what’s brunch?”. Gave him a better back story. He played a big role in this one, in the other one he just seemed lost.
Aquaman is still a bad ass in this one. I’m glad Willem Dafoe has a small role as I enjoyed him in the Aquaman solo movie. Wonder Woman does her thing. The whole seen in Themyscira was a lot better in this one. Just the fights and the cgi where done beautifully.
Jared Leto nails it as Joker in this one. We only get to see a few minutes of him. But from what we see it makes me wish we could have gotten a Ben Affleck and Jared Leto movie. I’m glad Jared got to reprise his role and show us what he really can do given the right direction and freedom. The best way I can describe it is that he looks scarier in this one. I like the voice and laugh he does. Also I got goosebumps when Batman dropped that f bomb.
Overall I’m happy Zack Snyder got to release his version. I’d never thought the day would come that we would get the Snydercut. I definitely was not disappointed at all. I’d rate this up there with Infinity War and Endgame. This was one bad ass superhero movie, that’s all I gotta say. I hope this movie does a lot of noise for Warner Bros that they give out the green light and continue this. The movie ends with a cliffhanger so who knows what happens next. DC comics has so many great characters, it’s a shame to not be able to use them properly and put them on the big screen.

I didn't like Cyborg that much in the original but he was probably my favorite in this one. I wasn't a fan of all the slow motion scenes and I did take a little break before I finished watching but I really enjoyed it and probably watch it again when I have more time.

Ok I finished it. Thought it was fine. Can’t remember the Joss cut so can’t compare them. I like the stuff with the dream future. At the end of the day, I went in with no expectations and it ended up being an ok popcorn movie.

I watched the Studio JL a few weeks back. To refresh myself so I was pretty good going into it.
As I say this makes Batman vs Superman better & improves Aquaman too.

8/10 for me. Is it a perfect movie? No, but it was a fun ride and the 4 hours flew by for me outside of a scene or two.
Good:
- Cyborg and Flash both got great backstories and I totally get why Ray Fisher had a falling out with WB (over Whedon specifically). After the theatrical release,I hated this Flash and thought Cyborg was an afterthought. The ZS version made Flash less of a joke/dimwit and Cyborg more as a focal point. Loved both, especially Cyborg coming out of it.
- Aquman’s shift in demeanor. In the Whedon cut, he felt like a poor Thor-knockoff. I get Whedon was brought in to make this movie fee more “Marvel,” but many of the characters suffered big time from this tonal shift. I was glad to see a much more serious Aquaman in this movie.
- Wonder Woman taking on the terrorists.
- Steppenwolf was given depth as well. Rather than being evil for the sake of being evil, we find out he betrayed Darksied at one point and now owes him a large debt. That little bit of backstory took this villain from F-list to easily B-list at worst.
- CGI and lighting is a million times better than the Whedon version. No more red filter, and no more PS2 graphics.
- Darksied’ snack story. That whole fight was amazing and seeing the old gods, antlantians, and a green lantern fight him back was great stuff.
- Superman. From his revival, to his look and demeanor, this Superman was great. And no CGI lips anymore either.m
- Knightmare scene. I love everything we’ve scene from this potential future. I enjoyed Leto’s short performance here, love Batmans look, and the idea of this future timeline.
Not a fan:
- A lot of slo-mo scenes. They didn’t bother me as much as others, but they still stood out. The Flash one in-particular. They could have sped up that whole crash scene.
- The music was great at some points, but annoying at others. There didn’t seem to be a lot of middle ground. Ones that stood out in a weird way were the Amazonian song that played literally every time WW appears, and the Icelandic people singing that overly-long song.
- The Icelandic woman smelling Aquaman’s shirt, and the weird slo-mo with Flash and Iris.
- The sequel-bait teasers. I’ve been a Snyderverse fan since day one with Man of Steel, but we have no clue whether this is the start of more Snyder movies, or the end of it (most likely the latter). If it was a guarantee we’d get more movies, I’d enjoy the knightmare scenes, Martian Manhunter, and Darksied more if it weren’t for the fact these may no be built on is stuck in my head for now.
- Martian Manhunter seemed to be shoe-horned into the film for no reason other than fan service.
- The scene with Lois and “Martha” dragged.
- The length. With this likely being the end of the Snyderverse, I love that we got 4 hours of content. However, looking at the movie as a whole, I think the perfect cut of this is closer to the 3 hour mark than 4. It would be cool to see if any fans could edit this down 30-60 minutes to see if it improves this movie any further than Snyder already did.

Ok so I’ve been thinking about something. SPOILERS
So we know future Flash tells Bruce that Lois is the key. We know from Cyborgs vision that Lois dies leading to Superman going evil. We know Joker basically tells Batman that he let her die so he wouldn’t. Do you think this was all going to lead to Bruce sacrificing himself to fix the timeline and beat Dark Seid? Because I hate comparing DC and MCU, but after Stark essentially doing the same thing that wouldn’t be well received. Idk.

Overall I give it about an 8/10. Here are my brief notes the good
- score is huge improvement over Josstice League, awesome new guitar track as team is preparing for the final battle - tonal shift from MOS/BVS is less jarring - color grading/lighting better and more consistent with MOS/BVS - lots of bad dialogue is gone - tunnel battle with Steppenwolf is much better - action scenes much better overall - Batman no longer bloated and useless, generally better shot/written/performed - Cyborg has an actual character, his powers are more well-defined - Steppenwolf design and character motivation are much improved - Alfred has more to do, his relationship with Bruce is better - Superman characterization more consistent with MOS/BVS - Flash powers/Speed Force look incredible - Lex/Deathstroke yacht scene is better - Knightmare scenes have a great visual look the bad
- movie was way too long, pacing is a big issue - some very bad CGI - some scenes clearly written/shot primarily for trailers and are just kind of there - new Wonder Woman theme (Amazonian... chanting? idk) - Wonder Woman blows up a huge section of the building to stop one bad guy (I thought we learned from the backlash to the MOS Metropolis destruction?) - Flash/Cyborg introduction scenes come too late - Flash saves Iris and they're surrounded by flying hot dogs - some bad Flash one-liners that I assumed were Joss remained in this cut, character is still very annoying when he isn't using his powers - Gal Gadot has several poorly-delivered, cringeworthy lines that I also assumed were Joss - long shots of mouthbreather Batman standing around looking confused - secret identities revealed loudly and publically - "not impressed" line - Knightmare Joker, almost every single line he has is bad. concept of Batman/Joker team up is interesting but I don't need to hear about reacharounds and "I'll ing murder you too" - Martian Manhunter's backstory doesn't make sense, his CGI is bad overallI'm very happy we got this version. It's obviously an enormous improvement over the theatrical version, which I still believe to be the worst movie I've ever paid to see. I think it would be a better experience if you trimmed about an hour from it, but now it's still great. It's right up there for my favorite DCEU movie, neck-and-neck with Shazam!. With those two movies being so dissimilar, I don't know how I could even compare the two. I'm hopeful that the seemingly overwhelmingly positive response will lead to a Cyborg return at some point down the road, and I'm cautiously optimistic that this will compel Ben Affleck to return for future films after The Flash (which starts filming this spring).

Snyder has commented on his original 5 movie arc that was planned not long after Man of Steel came out. Originally, Snyder thought he was going to be making Man of Steel 2. Then WB asked him to add a Batman cameo, and eventually wanted him to become the “godfather” of the DC Universe and wanted him to introduce as many characters as possible in short time. He created a 5 movie-arc that would lead into the “Knightmare” timeline, with Batman ultimately sacrificing himself to restore everything. This was all planned back around 2013/2014, so it’s impossible to say whether Marvel or DC came up with “X hero sacrifices himself to fix everything” first.

WB have said in an interview that they won't be releasing Ayers directors cut of Suicide Squad & basically? The Snyderverse is gone...firmly in the rearview mirror.
