IMO it was mental......I absolutely loved it and thought I would post something from a time when TNA had me hooked.
LOVED Enemy as the theme tune so I reckoned I would post the highlight reel.
man that "Cop Killa" on Styles was stiff as f*ck.
discuss.......

Based off the highlights it looks like a great show. I think this was around the time I started to watch TNA.

Stings attire was so awesome, shame he ditched it a while after. The Kevin Nash Rumble is still one of my favorite PPV matches.

Both 2005 & 2006 BFG's are amazing, but 05 wins for me as I prefer the Monsters Ball match on that one.

This was a fun event to attend but I think I enjoyed 05 better.

This was a great time for TNA when (shock horror) they focused on what they were doing instead of what WWE was doing.
I loved TNA around this time, moreso 2005 but I have this on DVD and it's a solid event, though I thought the crowd wasn't into the main event until Sting no-sold the guitar shot.
LAX VS Styles/Daniels was a great match, their feud throughout 2006 was just great, loved it.

I miss old TNA, also the main theme song was "Better Off" by Theory of a Deadman. TNA did a highlight video of BFG 2006, you won't find it though as SpikeTV took down the highlight video from every site that showed it.

Man BFG 2006 felt like a big deal for TNA, this was during a time when WWE fans were switching over to TNA and they were gaining momentum. I really thought this would have been the building blocks for TNA and they'd only get bigger and bigger, but over time things started going up and down ( which is well documented obviously ).
The PPV itself was great, arguably THE best PPV TNA has done, they really went out there and tried to prove something that night and they did a bang on job doing so, Styles/Daniels vs LAX was the match of the night for me, I marked when LAX won the belts cause I loved their gimmick ( especially when Konnan was the mouthpiece ).

Ahh, the good old days. Loved the X Division back then, wanted Shelley to win the battle royal. What a roster though, absolutely stacked with talent. Lots of gimmick matches though, very gimmicky. I think I got the whole of 05 and 06 PPV's on recorded disc, might go back and watch them.

I recall that video though, I thought it was fan made.

yes, if TNA even went back to HALF of what they did back then, they would be serious competition, right now, they are not even 1 per cent of what they were back then...such a shame, I know they have the brains to do something great with the company, and they have established themselves long enough, i know they will never run the wwe out, but they can be such a serious competitor and spark the flame back for us fans

I liked BFG 2005 better, but 2006 was good. Also, that's more of a 'here's every ing move that happened that night' rathe than a highlight reel.

I was there live actually. I was in the 5th row, and I was across from the ramp way. So I could see the wrestlers come down straight at me pretty much.
It was so cool being there. And I was at Wrestlemania 23 a few months later, and I still say Bound For Glory was more fun than WM 23. And I remember the arena that BFG 2006 was in was totally packed!! From the floor to the cheap seats. I have no idea how TNA has went downhill like it has, because in 2006, it had such great promise to actually compete with WWE. It had an ECW vibe to it, only with proper money and managing skills. Somehow that all changed in 2010....
When Jarrett hit Sting over the head with the guitar, and Stinger no sold it and got pumped and flexed, I can honestly say everyone in the arena went nuts and screamed loud. When Sting won the NWA Title, I even gave my friend a high five who was standing beside me, because it was just so cool to see Sting win the NWA World Title one more time in his career.
But this is my favourite TNA PPV of all time, but probably cause of my own personal reasons of being there.

Oh I loved that too......and the follow up to BFG was great too because the Angle vs Joe feud was blistering before they even got in the f*cking ring for that BRILLIANT match @ Genesis.
