The WWE is clueless.. in 2014, nobody wants to see Kane the monster. No one cares. The only thing that has been consistent with Kane and "The Monster" gimmick, is that anyone that goes into a feud with him, loses steam.. That has nothing to do with Daniel Bryan and everything to do with Kane and the booking. If the WWE came to my home town with a PPV, and the main event was Daniel Bryan vs. Kane. I wouldn't go. Since November most of the IWC wanted Kane the monster back.
No, I don't think they wanted the "monster Kane back", they just wanted Corporate Kane gone. Kane is completely over the hill. The only people still following Kane with interest are just nostalgic for when Kane was relevant

As an alternative to Kane the high school principal.

For his age and size he is still one of the best on the roster and personally when he leaves he should go on a high.

It's a shitty follow up storyline to a really well played storyline combating the corporate machine. It's a recycled angle. It's a poorly executed angle. It's showing Daniel and Brie in the worst possible light. By the end of it, Bryan will have lost a small percentage of support from the crowd. But we shall see.

Kane has run his course.

I thought it was horrible, even aside from Brie's awful acting and Bryan's bad acting. My main problem with it isn't crying that Bryan's being buried or whatever, it's that... Well, why is he scared of Kane when he kicked Kane's ass on Sunday? What suddenly made Kane so dangerous 24 hours later? It doesn't make any sense to do that "I'm scared" storyline the night after he already beat Kane.

There trying to hard to make Kane credible again and forgetting about making Bryan credible. It should be the other way around.

There trying to hard to make Kane credible again and forgetting about making Bryan credible. It should be the other way around. This is my point. Kane isn't credible anymore.. He lost his mask, what, 5 months ago? They worked hard to make him Corporate Kane.. Now all of a sudden he has his mask back on.. And they're working harder to make him a monster again.. At the expense of Daniel Bryan. I truly believe Kane needs to consider retiring. I have zero interest in watching Kane be in the main event, in the big storyline anymore.. It wouldn't matter to me if it was Kane vs. John Cena.. He has no business in that position anymore.. I'm over Kane.

The only real way to book this, if you absolutely must get Kane over as a monster (at the expense of your goddamn WORLD CHAMPION), have Bryan stand his ground on TV, maybe get his ass kicked a few times, and then at the PPV have him outwrestle Kane. That way Bryan gets good face pops (instead of losing momentum by running away from a 50-year-old wrestler in a wig and rubber mask) and Kane gets extra heat by administering some beatdowns.
Wrestling is NOT that hard... come on guys.

That would have added some credibility to the US title if Kane was obsessed with winning it.

Stop. There's no "IWC." There's a vocal portion that gets portrayed as a hivemind, I didn't want Kane the monster back. I just wanted him to go away.

Like I said in the Raw thread last night, it's painfully obviously that they're sandbagging Bryan. But hey, at least HHH gets to stay in the real main event picture. Who doesn't want to see that? It's HHH! This is exactly what happened to Benoit 4 years ago. Well, not exactly thank God.

This entire storyline just seems horribly booked and a way to setup Daniel Bryan to fail. These guys are wrestlers, not actors. Daniel Bryan has made huge strides on the mic over the past several years, but putting him in a storyline where he's supposed to be afraid after he just spent the past nine months proving he isn't afraid and isn't going to back down from anything is just stupid. Yes, I get it - he's supposed to be protecting his wife from the big bad scary Kane, but still. He just comes across as looking so, so weak in this entire storyline. So, to stick him in an angle like this (which killed any momentum Zack Ryder had when he was feuding with Kane) just seems like it was destined for Bryan to come off looking bad to begin with. They could've done a real good storyline built around Kane putting the mask back on and bringing up something to do with the both of them tagging together as Team Hell No. Have they even referenced the fact that Kane and Bryan used to be tag team champions together once in this whole angle? I don't get this infatuation where once every two years they try and build Kane up as this huge and unstoppable monster, only to tear his entire character down and then repeat the cycle over and over again. I actually have always liked Kane and think he's a very underrated worker. It's just this entire low-budget horror film angle they're going for keeps getting worse and worse.

I've loved the DB/Kane feud. Love how Kane is being used here.

Why would Bryan not be afraid of Kane? Look at all the things Kane has done to people over the years and at the minute he is in full monster mode. Yes Lesnar is bigger than Kane but sometimes size doesn't matter. Good points
