Well i have a sound ring thingo......and i would like to know the best material for a ring mat, and ring skirtss

I would say anything really, like a old t-shirt cut it up and use that. Or go to joann fabrics and look around for something that likes good to you.

Any sort of good cloth that has a flat/smooth texture (not felt or something crappy like that) should work. Old shirts or fabric from a craft store should work. Wal-Mart has a good selection of cloth you can pick from. Cloth there ranges from anywhere from $2 to $5 a yard.
You can also pad your ring with foam sheets from Wal-Mart. They run 50 cents each. Put them under the cloth, and you'll have a soft yet sturdy mat for your figs.
