Let me tell you what's a life saver. I did it myself, and have helped 2 friends both over 300lbs, come down to 230. There is a documentary called "Fat Head". It's on Amazon instant video, you can rent it for $2 and you'll understand why so many people have trouble with their weight. It covers new studies debunking the old myth about saturated fat and emphasizes new studies showing blood sugar spikes to be the #1 cause of inflammation to the heart and weight gain. I won't go into big detail, just watch it and follow the steps

I got it today. Is it difficult? I just got to find the space to do it without being bothered. It's challenging but not difficult, each move has a modified move that you can do as a beginner to build yourself into the full on move. If you follow the program that comes with the dvd pack you should be good.

Since you have leg issues, cardio is out of the question. Not remotely true at all. 1) Get a membership at the YMCA or something and do laps in the pool. Aqua exercised offer almost no strain on your joints and are a great exercise for injured, elderly, etc... 2) There are low resistance machines out there (some elipticals and bikes) that offer a good cardio work out. Diet is huge. Eat healthy and drink tons of water. Stop with the crap foods and sugar (especially sugar) and just allow yourself a cheat day once a week when you can satisfy some cravings. I shouldn't have said cardio is out of the question. I mean as a main focus of exercise since he has great pain after walking 8 minutes.

That being said, just for the record, a person can avoid sugar and eat a high-fat diet, but the calories must still be kept in check. I have ran into people in real life who have misconceptions that they "can't overeat" on paleo (or atkins or low carb or whatever). Believe-you-me, they can.

Eh do what I did to lose weight. Get into a relationship with a girl and have her break your heart. I went from 195lbs to 163lbs. I may have a broken heart and severe anxiety but I can fit into size 30 pants!
seriously....keep up the good work. Just believe in yourself and you'll do great. Don't get discouraged and if you fall off the wagon, get up, dust yourself off, and get back on.

Here's my two cents on what works flawlessly:
Use myfitnesspal.com to track your caloric intake (should be around 1,500-2,000 a day, depending on your size) and put less calories in your body than you're burning off by exercising.
Also, stay away from processed foods, pretty much the ingredients of what you're eating should be what you're eating. Eat raw foods and MAKE your own meals. Don't be a dill dough and get a salad with a paint buckets worth of ranch dressing, be smart. Drink water.
Those two things will have your fat fall off fast. And that's the great big secret to losing weight, to which you now all know! No maniac diets.
Exercise regimens are another animal. With those, don't start at level 10 and burn yourself out, slow and steady and build up slowly over time.

the habit of drinking water has really helped me, especially to fight against cravings for night snacks. If I get hungry after 10pm, I just drink water.

You need to commit, bro.
I know it sounds typical, but it really is a lifestyle change. You have to completely revamp your eating, drinking, exercising.. Otherwise it won't work.. And if slacking a few times a week somehow does work and you get in great shape, but you haven't committed to the lifestyle change, you'll end up back where you were.
Change it all.

I hate Yoga. I recommend you go to the gym and do bench press.
