Hi there:
After many years of buying figures for my son and making wrestling rings, I have decided to get into collecting Mattel figures for myself. Here are my first purchases:
Mattel Elite figures are unbelievable! Here are my thoughts on my current ones.
1. WM30 Bret Hart
Seeing this figure on the shelves made me want to start collecting! Everything is great about this figure from the head scan down to the paint job. He comes with the same Eagle belt that Andre has except the world is blue on Bret's and black on Andre's. My son wanted to trade his Andre's belt for my Bret's .... NO DICE!
2. WM30 Shawn Michaels
Great accessories with this one and great head scan and paint job as well! I think that this is the best Shawn Michaels figure to date. I can't wait to redo the Montreal screwjob over again ... maybe different result this time?
3. Elite 26 Ultimate Warrior
I have never been a huge fan of the Warrior or the current Mattel figures of him. This one, however, was an absolute must after I saw it in the store! People complain about the lack of accessories with this one but the paint and detail more than make up for it! The head scan is awesome and way better than previous figures. I like everything about this figure and I think it is my favourite one out of the 4 believe it or not!
4. Elite 26 Road Dogg
Originally I wasn't going to get this since I thought I missed the boat on Elite 26. I was lucky at TRU one day though when two boxes of Elite 26 were put out! I just had to pick up Warrior and Road Dogg after seeing both. The accessories are unbelievable! Two shirts and a hat?! The figure looks great as well and the head scan is perfect. The paint job is awesome as too.
I simply cannot believe the detail with these! The likenesses are spot-on. I highly recommend you get your hands on ALL of these while you can! Things have come a long way since LJN days.
