Interesting layout. I do happen to really like this era and hope to see Edge get a great run with the belt. Looking forward to this.

Interesting layout. I do happen to really like this era and hope to see Edge get a great run with the belt. Looking forward to this. Yeah, I find proboards quite limiting when it comes to options to 'zazz' up a post and whatnot. I'll sort something out later. Thanks for stopping by and giving me a shot.

If I could give any advice on the layout, maybe have the rosters before the Pay Per View schedule. It's not an issue at all, though. I haven't read too many diaries with this starting point, so I will definitely be checking it out.

(just messing around with some of the options on proboards, please let me know if it's unbearable.)
MONDAY NIGHT RAW JANUARY 2ND, 2006 The first RAW of 2006 kicks off with the usual fireworks display and video package, as the announcers welcome us to the new year of RAW.
Non-Title Match Ric Flair vs Gene Snitsky The first match of RAW in 2006 sees Intercontinental Champion Ric Flair take on a huge challenge in Gene Snitsky. The power of Snitsky looked to take advantage of Flair until the "Dirtiest Player In The Game" was able to put Snitsky in a Figure-Four Leg Lock and pick up the submission victory. After the victory, Ric Flair's challenger for Sunday comes running to the ring and hits him with a Spear! Flair is left laying in the middle of the ring clutching his ribs as Edge looks down on him with a smirk. Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm standing by with one of the five men that will enter the Elimination Chamber to challenge for John Cena's WWE championship this Sunday, Kurt Angle. Kurt, how are you feeling heading into this career-threatening match? I'm not feeling good, Coach. I'm feeling DAMN good. This Sunday, I achieve my New Year's Resolution. I become the WWE Champion. And I'll not let anyone stand in my way of that goal. John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Kane, none of them. This Sunday, I walk out with the WWE Championship. With Triple H doing commentary, Daivari stood very little chance in this one, as Big Show's power was far too much for the much smaller superstar, and he put him away with a Showstopper in just a few minutes. Triple H stood up at the commentary table and sarcastically applauded Big Show, saying into the mic, "I'm no Daivari. He's gonna have to put in a lot more effort than that if he wants to put me away on Sunday."
Big Show gets out of the ring and goes face-to-face with Triple H, the two arguing until Triple H throws fists into Big Show. The two brawl around the ring until they're near the barricade by the timekeeper. Show pushes Triple H back from him and charges, knocking Triple H through the barricade! OH MY GOD! Big Show just drove Triple H through the barricade! Can you imagine what they're going to do to each other this Sunday at New Year's Revolution!? Before his match, Edge takes out a microphone and addresses the audience. Flair, you wanna try to keep going in this business? In this industry? Well, Ric, I hate to tell ya--actually, no, I don't. I love to tell you, to be the one to finally let you know, diamonds may last forever, but Ric Flair does not. And this Sunday, it's not about taking your Intercontinental title. I've been there, won that. This Sunday, it's about retiring you, Flair. Edge took on another veteran and former Intercontinental Champion before he faces Flair this Sunday for the Intercontinental Championship. This one went Edge's way as, even when he looked to be hit by the Shattered Dreams, Lita provided a distraction to Goldust and allowed Edge to hit a Spear for the victory! In this match, #1 contender for the Women's Championship Mickie James teamed up with her idol Trish Stratus. After their kiss under the mistletoe last week, Trish looked uncomfortable around Mickie, but the two were able to put their differences aside for Mickie to hit a Mick Kick on Candice and pick her team up the win. With tensions rising between the number one contender and the Women's Champion, who knows what will happen this Sunday? I dunno, Joey, but I can't wait to see them get it on! Gregory Helms comes from the crowd behind Jerry Lawler, hitting him in the back of the head a few times and generally punking him out on the way into the ring.
Shelton Benjamin vs Gregory Helms Shelton Benjamin looked to snap his losing streak in this one as he took on Gregory Helms. Luckily for Benjamin, Jerry Lawler got his revenge for the attack before the match by distracting Helms and allowing Shelton to capitalize with a superkick and pick up the victory on Helms. The three men standing to my right are all going to enter the Elimination Chamber this Sunday to compete for the WWE Championship. But tonight, they face their three opponents in a six-man tag team match. How are you guys feeling heading into those two huge matches? I don't know about my partners tonight, but Sunday, there are no partners. Tonight, I got your back, Shawn. Kane, same to you. But come Sunday, it's every man for themselves as we compete for my WWE Championship. Agreed, champ. You may be on my side tonight. But Sunday is another story. And you know I'll stop at nothing to get that title around my waist one more time. You guys wanna talk about tonight? I don't care about tonight. My only mission is to get as big of an advantage heading into the Elimination Chamber match as I can. The more I destroy you other five, the more likely I am to walk out with the WWE title. And there you have it. Tensions run high in this tag team, and it all explodes this Sunday at New Year's Revolution! A graphic is shown promoting the tag team main event for Smackdown, as Rey Mysterio and Batista take on MNM in a steel cage rematch for the WWE Tag Team Championship All six men looked to injure as many of their opponents as they could heading into the huge match this Sunday. The match descended into chaos towards the end as all six men ignored the rules completely and fought each other in the middle of the ring. The finish came during this brawl when Masters went for his Master Lock on John Cena, only to be hit by Sweet Chin Music by Shawn Michaels. He then walked into an FU from John Cena and was covered for the victory. After the match, the three victors chase their opponents out of the ring and celebrate, until Kane wraps his hand around John Cena's throat. Shawn saves Cena with a Sweet Chin Music on Kane, only to be thanked by an FU from Cena! John stands tall to end the show, until Kurt Angle comes from behind with a steel chair, crashing it into Cena's face, knocking him out and leaving the Olympic Gold Medalist as the last man standing.

Intercontinental Title Edge vs Ric Flair (c) Edge has shown nothing but disrespect towards the veteran Intercontinental champion in recent weeks. This Sunday, he says it's not about taking The Dirtiest Player In The Game's title, but rather retiring The Nature Boy. Will he be able to do just that, or will Flair be able to walk out with the championship?
Jerry Lawler vs Gregory Helms Gregory Helms has taken exception to Jerry Lawler's comments about him over the past couple of weeks. After a sneak attack this past Monday, Jerry distracted Helms and cost him his match. This Sunday, Helms and Lawler both look to have a point to prove.
Women's Championship Mickie James vs Trish Stratus (c) Mickie James has been a fan of Trish Stratus her whole life. With her recent admission that she's more than the Women's Champion's biggest fan, James looks to be under Trish's skin. The two friends go one-on-one this Sunday over the championship gold. Big Show and Triple H have clashed many times over the past couple of weeks. With Big Show driving Triple H through the barricade this past Monday on RAW, he looks to have the momentum heading into this match. But who will win and have the momentum heading into the Royal Rumble? WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match Shawn Michaels vs Kane vs Kurt Angle vs Carlito vs Chris Masters vs John Cena(c) Six men enter, but only one can exit as the WWE Champion. John Cena looks to face the toughest challenge yet to his WWE Championship since winning it at Wrestlemania 21 almost a year ago. Will Cena be able to walk into RAW and proclaim "the champ is here?" Or will someone else walk out as the champion?

Elliot officially has competition for best layout. I'm skeptical but I'll wait until New Year's Revolution to make a judgment.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN! JANUARY 6TH, 2006
The first Smackdown of the new year starts with hard-hitting action as JBL takes on Tatanka. The match ended in short order, though, as JBL hit the veteran with a Clothesline From Hell to pick up the victory. Really? This is the best you can send out to face me, Teddy? Tatanka? This old washed-up has-been? When am I going to get some real competition on this show? Am I gonna have to wait til the Royal Rumble so I can fight some RAW guys? Matt Hardy comes out to answer the call of JBL for competition, running into the ring and taking the fight to Layfield. He attempts a Twist Of Fate, but Bradshaw pushes him away and runs out of the ring as fast as he can. More hard-hitting action comes in the second bout of the evening when Matt Hardy takes on the fighting Irishman, Finlay. This match also ends with a Clothesline From Hell, when JBL runs into the ring and hits Matt Hardy with one, nearly taking his head off but giving him the win through disqualification.
Bryan Danielson vs Bobby Lashley Bryan Danielson comes from Ring Of Honor to compete against WWE newcomer Bobby Lashley in this one. No mention is made of Danielson's ROH contract, but he put up a very good fight against Bobby Lashley until he's put down with a Dominator for the victory. #1 Contender's Match Juventud Guerrera vs Jamie Noble vs Funaki Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash was on commentary to watch this match as the high-octane action of the cruiserweight division took center stage. This one was picked up by Juventud, who moves on to face Kid Kash for the title in the future. Not much to this one. A short showcase for The Boogeyman ends with The Boogeyman putting Vito away with a Boogeyslam for the victory. A video package is shown recapping the best-of-seven series for the United States Championship. Chris Benoit was down 3-1 before Booker got injured, selecting Randy Orton to be his replacement in the series. Last week, Orton was disqualified and now the series score is 3-2 in favor of Booker T. With Randy Orton fighting on behalf of Booker T in this one, he fought violently against Chris Benoit. It wasn't enough, though, as Benoit was able to counter an RKO into a Crippler Crossface, forcing Orton to tap out and bringing the series to a 3-3 tie, forcing a tiebreaker match next week for the United States Championship. A video package is shown hyping The Undertaker and his success over the years, while announcing that he will be in the Royal Rumble match. Ladies and Gentlemen, the #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship, Rey Mysterio and the World Heavyweight Champion Batista. Gentlemen, last week we saw the SHOCKING return of the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry as he levelled you, Batista, and cost you the WWE Tag Team Championship. This week, you get your rematch inside of a steel cage. How are you feeling heading into this match? Last week, Mark Henry did cost us the WWE Tag Team Championships. But this week, we take on MNM inside of a steel cage. That means no Melina, no Mark Henry. Nothing but MNM and us. And that means that we’re walking out with the tag team championships. It's just like Batista said, Josh. Last week, Mark was able to help MNM win the Tag Team titles. This week, the cage stops him from doing that. And this week, we win the titles back...for Eddie. The cage ensured that MNM's manager Melina would be a non-factor in this match, and allowed Rey and Batista to take advantage with their unique mixture of speed and power. MNM was able to outwit the challengers at several key points in the match, though, and more than held their own against the formidable duo. However, Batista's power was just too much for the champions. With the other three men in the match down, Batista signaled for the Batista Bomb until... Mark Henry made his way down to the ring! He stares Batista down, with The Animal sure that The World's Strongest Man can't get to him, due to the steel cage designed just to keep him out of the action. Henry has other plans, though, grabbing the door of the cage and, with some effort, pulling it right off it's hinges! Batista looks shocked in the ring as Henry enters, grabbing him and throwing him into the cage wall like he's half of the size that Batista actually is. Rey tries to come to his partner's aid but is put down with a World's Strongest Slam. As Batista gets to his feet by the ropes, Mark grabs the door he removed and rams it into Batista's prone body. Nitro covers Mysterio to pick up the win for his team. After the match, MNM and Henry continue to attack Mysterio and Batista in the cage, with Henry paying particular attention to Batista. He picks up The Animal and hits a World's Strongest Slam on the cage door before grabbing the World Heavyweight Title and raising it high in the air.

Elliot officially has competition for best layout. But seriously, I really liked this time of the WWE, mostly because it saw the rebirth of ECW just a few months down the line, but this diary could be good. The layout's a bit too "big" for me, if that makes sense. I think it would look better a lot smaller. As for the shows, I like your summaries for the matches, they pick out what's needed. Perhaps highlight the winners of the matches a bit more, just for easy reading purposes, both for us and yourself when looking back. I do like the little speech bubbles you got going on, but the coding is messed up on my screen and the pointy bit isn't connected to the actually block of text. Will be interesting to see if you still have Edge cash-in for the WWE Championship, it was a big part of what made him a legitimate superstar, so I think pulling the trigger on it now is a perfect opportunity. Perhaps John Cena won't even retain the title in the first place, who knows? I hope you do. I'll be checking on this, good luck.

I loved this time of year in 2006, because Edge was WWE Champion, Mark Henry made his return to get Batista and all the others, but you've simply changed it up, I hope you give Edge the title like they did in real-life and keep it on him, Undertaker in the Royal Rumble Match, that's fun. I think you should let Taker win the Rumble, it's not an insult to Rey even though he won the Rumble that year, I'm wondering if you're going to do the Batista injury as well. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm loving to see a Taker/Edge match at WrestleMania 22 if Taker wins the Royal Rumble. BTW. Keep up the good work.

I'll give a full reply to New Year's Revolution, but I do want to give my thoughts thus far. The layout is very cool and unique. The red border on RAW is a little hard on the eyes, though. Maybe give it the gray color scheme that you gave SmackDown. I also like the speech bubbles, makes it feel like a video game. Not much to comment on in regards to the booking as it is seems pretty standard right now. While I do hope that you differentiate from real life as you progress, I am in agreement with others when I say that I hope you keep Edge's cash-in intact. It is perhaps my favorite moment in WWE history and a vital part of this time period. As I said before, I will give an actual reply to the PPV when it is posted. I look forward to it.

I love the concept of the layout for your shows but I think with some tweaks, such as a different font, would make it that bit better. The match results are the perfect length for me - not too much detail, but not too little either. Bryan Danielson is a neat addition to the roster, especially for a diary of this timeframe. I'm glad you didn't have him win his debut match, especially when it was against someone like Bobby Lashley who was pretty big in 2006. Looking forward to seeing how you build Danielson up from here on out. Overall, I've really enjoyed what you have done so far (especially the layout)! I'm looking forward to reading more of this.

The layout is interesting. I don't love it, it does seem a little video game or cartoonish. I mean, maybe I'm just being too picky... Anyway, you've mostly gone with some stuff that actually happened so far and I am looking forward to see how you go forward with New Year's Revolution and such. Will keep my eye on it.

Interesting layout, it's different and that is a plus on these boards so kudos there. JBL winning in the opener was clear and I'm glad Matt Hardy looked strong. Whoa! Bryan Danielson! He was ROH World Champion at this time though so I don't see him getting into anything WWE involved. I miss Cruiserweights. Boogeyman squash worked, I was never a big fan of his though. Sucker for Best of Seven Series and Orton/Benoit was good. I thought the final match would be on a PPV but I guess not. Big win for MNM even with assistance from Mark Henry. I'd like for Batista to stick around but maybe Angle still come over to Smackdown. Angle/Undertaker at WrestleMania was my dream for that year. Good start, I'd like to see where you go next.

January 8, 2006Albany, New York.
Welcome to the New Year's Revolution pre-show interview. I'm sitting by with the man who is defending his WWE Championship against five other men in an Elimination Chamber match tonight, John Cena. I gotta ask rather bluntly, isn't the word "Elimination Chamber" Another term for CAREER SUICIDE?" (laughing) Well, maybe it is. It certainly can and does take several years off the careers and lives of those who enter. But tonight that's the match that was chosen from me. And tonight, that's the match I win and walk out of as the WWE Champion. Who you think is the biggest threat in the Elimination Chamber match tonight, John? Well, Coach, that's a hard one to answer. You see, Shawn Michaels is a veteran and won the very first Elimination Chamber match, so you can never sell him short. Kurt Angle is one of the toughest men in the world, and won an Olympic Gold Medal with a broken neck. While Chris Masters and Carlito are both young, they also have a hell of a lot to prove, and I know more than anyone how dangerous that can be. And Kane is...(laughing) well, Kane. He's the Big Red Monster. He's always dangerous, nevertheless when you take away rules and add tons of steel and glass. So, to answer the question, I gotta say that the most dangerous man is the one that enters last. Thank you, John, and good luck in your match tonight.. trust me, you're going to need it. The Pay-Per-View starts with a video package highlighting the past Elimination Chamber matches, as well as our other main events tonight, highlighting the brutality that we are sure to see.
Edge vs Ric Flair (c) Though Ric Flair obviously had the crowd support behind him, Edge had all of his ego, and it was out in full effect in this match. He took control after a slap across Flair's face, and put him in the corner until Flair reversed and hit Edge with a couple of knife-edge chops, drawing a huge Woo! from the crowd. The referee pulled Flair off of Edge and The Rated-R Superstar took advantage with a thumb to the eye.
Edge slams Flair to the ground and delivers punches to his face until Flair rolls out of the ring. Edge follows suit, but is caught by a chop to the chest and a slam to the ground. Ric whips Edge into the steps and rolls him into the ring, covering for a two-count. Flair grabs a hold of Edge's leg and starts to work it over with kicks, punches, and knees until Lita finds her way onto the apron and distracts him long enough for Edge to hit a low blow while the referee is distracted as well.
Edge hits an Impaler DDT on Flair and covers for a nearfall. More punches to Flair's face, and Edge whips him into the corner. Flair comes out and does his signature flop. Edge sets up in the opposite corner for a spear, but when he goes to hit it, Flair dodges and Edge goes face-first into the turnbuckle. Flair hits an inverted atomic drop on Edge, whips him into the ropes, and hits a back-body drop. Flair grabs Edge's leg again and starts to posture up for the Figure-Four Leg Lock. However, Lita slides Edge's Money In The Bank Briefcase in to him. Flair is distracted and approaches the ropes, only to turn around and be hit in the face with the briefcase! After the match, Edge takes Lita and his briefcase and walks towards the back with a smirk on his face. Edge looks awfully smug for a man that just lost a match for the Intercontinental Championship. He told you on Monday, Joey, this wasn't about the title. It was about ending Flair's legacy. I don't know if he did all that, but he certainly put a damper on The Nature Boy's night! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a match of my own to get ready for.
Ladies and gentlemen, WWE Champion, John Cena. John, tonight you step foot in the Elimination Chamber to defend your WWE championship, a title that you've held for almost a year now. What do you think your odds are of walking out tonight as WWE Champion? I'll be real honest, Coach...my odds, they're not great. They're not even good. The odds say that I'm going to lose tonight. But you know what? I say that I'm going to win. I say bring it on to Carlito. Bring it on to Chris Masters. To Kane, to Shawn Michaels, and yes, even to Kurt Angle. I say if you want some, come get some. And tomorrow night, I will say...THE CHAMP...IS...HEEERRREEEE. The second match of the evening pitted another veteran against a cocky up-and-comer. Gregory Helms showed no more respect for Lawler than Edge did for Flair, taking every advantage he could early on in the match. Lawler's experience allowed him to take the advantage back, though, as he employed some tricks of his own and slammed Helms to the mat. The strap came down and the crowd cheered as Lawler climbed up to the middle rope, but Helms pulled the referee in the way and stopped the fist drop from happening.
Helms bought himself enough time to join Jerry on the middle rope and hit a Superplex from there, but pinned and only got a two-count. Helms went to the corner and tried to strike Lawler with a Shining Wizard, but missed and landed on his own back. Lawler was able to rally up some energy for a few clotheslines and hit a big DDT before finally hitting the fist drop from the top rope and pinning Helms for the win. Shelton Benjamin is walking backstage with a smirk on his face after snapping his losing streak last Monday, when he runs into Tyson Tomko. What are you looking so smug for, Benjamin? You know you only won because of Lawler helping you, right? Is that what you think, Tomko? Why don't you put that little theory to the test tonight, then? Do I hear a challenge? Alright, you're on. A video is shown recounting the relationship between Mickie James and Trish Stratus, showing how crazy Mickie has been since her debut, and her kissing of Trish on the last RAW of the year.
Mickie James vs Trish Stratus (c) This was the first match of the evening where either competitor seemed to have any respect for the other. It started with a collar-and-elbow tie-up and Trish took advantage. She whipped James into the ropes and set, but was caught with a kick to the chest for her efforts. James took Stratus to the corner and whipped her to the other, charging and catching a boot to the face.
Trish hit a couple of clotheslines to Mickie, knocking her to the ground. A scoop slam and a pin earned the champion a two-count. James fought back into the match and delivered some high-impact offense to Stratus, but was only able to gain a two count for each of her efforts. As the match went on, Mickie's face started to look more and more crazy. She set in the corner and waited for Trish to get up, attempting to hit Trish Stratus' Chick Kick on the champion. Stratus ducked the kick, though, and attempted one of her own. She connects with a kick to Mickie's head, but at the same time, Mickie hit another one of her own to Trish's head!
Both women are down, but Trish is able to slowly drag her arm across Mickie's chest and the referee counts. 1...2...3.
Joining me now is none other than The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. Now, HBK, it's come to light that Vince McMahon has ordered you to be one of the first two entrants in the Elimination Chamber match tonight. Do you think this decreases your odds of walking out as champion? Of course it lowers my odds, Coach. That's exactly the point. But McMahon has proven my point by proving his point. He's a childish man who always puts his personal pride and ego above what's best for the company. Tonight, his ego is hampering my chances of walking out of this arena with the WWE Championship. But the joke is going to be on Vince, because that's exactly what I plan on doing. And Vince, how does that old saying go? He who laughs last...laughs loudest. Shelton began the match by getting in Tomko's face, only for Tyson to throw him into the corner for his efforts. Tomko unleashed on Benjamin with fists and elbows, knocking Shelton down into the corner. Tyson whipped Shelton into the opposite corner, and Benjamin hits the ground in pain. Tyson pins Shelton for 2.
Pulling Benjamin to his feet, Tomko puts him up on his shoulders with the intention of dropping him face-first on the turnbuckle, but Benjamin slides down and pushes Tomko into the buckle himself. When Tyson turns around, he's hit with a T-Bone suplex. Tomko got to his feet slowly and Benjamin slammed him back down, looking a bit surprised at his own power. Again Tyson rose to his feet but is hit with a swinging neckbreaker by Shelton. A cover gets 2.
Benjamin starts to look frustrated and goes to the apron. As Tomko gets to his feet, Shelton sprinboards into the ring. Instead of hitting an attack, though, he's caught with a big boot from Tomko! Tyson pins and 1...2... but as the referee's hand is coming down for the 3, Benjamin's shoulder comes up!
Tomko gets to his feet and starts to argue with the referee, allowing Benjamin to roll him up. 1...2...3! Shelton gets another win!
I'm standing by once again with another WWE Title contender in Kurt Angle. Kurt, you were the last man left standing when RAW went off the air this past Monday. Does that give you an advantage heading into the Elimination Chamber match tonight? You know what gives me an advantage in this match tonight, Coachman? The fact that I'm an Olympic Gold-no, THE Olympic Gold Medalist. I'm the only one in the history of this company, in the history of this business. I'm the most ruthless and violent man stepping into that match tonight, and I'm the one that's going to be walking out of it with the gold around my waist to match the gold around my neck.
A video is shown recapping the rivalry between Triple H and The Big Show, concluding with Big Show driving Triple H through the barricade this past Monday on RAW and the announcers putting over how they've never seen anything like that ever before. If you were looking for a violent brawl, this one was it. From the very second the bell rang, Triple H unloaded with right hands to Big Show's face, driving him into the corner. Show knocked Triple H into the middle of the ring, The Game flipping literally head-over-heels before coming back at Show. Big Show replied by lifting Triple H and dropping him over the top rope to the floor below.
Triple H stood as Big Show exited to the apron, taking the big man's feet out from under him and sending him to the floor. Triple H continued his assault with right hands to Big Show's head, and Show was eventually able to fight to his feet and whip The Game into the ring steps, sending them across the floor. Picking him up off the ground, Big Show carried Triple H over his shoulder and drove him spine-first into the turnbuckle. Show rolled into the ring and quickly back out to break the count, then threw Triple H back-first into the barricade.
When Show tried to get The Game from the ground again, Triple H thumbed him in the eye. As he turned, Show was chop-blocked by Triple H, and it took him down to the ground. This time, Triple H broke the count. When he came back out, he started to clear off the announce table. Woah! What does The Game think he's doing!? The referee is obviously being very lax with the rules here, Jerry, as he knows there's no way to control these two in their violence. Triple H cleared the table and went for Big Show, but was countered by being pushed back-first into the table he'd just cleared. As he walked away from it, he was caught around the throat by Big Show's hand and Triple H was chokeslammed through the announce table! OH MY GOD! Triple H was just driven through our table, King! Big Show rolled Triple H's lifeless body into the ring and covered him, but The Game was able to get his foot on the bottom rope at the last second. Show pounded the mat in frustration before standing up and raising his hand to signal for another chokeslam. Triple H got to his foot with the use of the ropes, and was again grabbed around the throat. A kick to Big Show's gut broke the hold and Triple H punched him back into the middle of the ring, hitting a big facebuster on Show to take him down to the mat. A rolling knee hit and Triple H signaled for the pedigree. He hooks Big Show, but is flipped backwards to land on the mat hard. Show goes for one more chokeslam but as he raises Triple H, The Game lands behind Big Show, turning him to hit a Pedigree. He covers Big Show and puts his feet on the ropes, unknown to the referee, to get the victory! After Triple H manages to limp his way back up the ramp, a video is shown for our main event, showing the brutality of past Elimination Chamber matches, as well as the accomplishments of each man in the match. Elimination Chamber Match
The order of entrance is Carlito, Chris Masters, Kane, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, and then John Cena, which means Cena and Michaels are starting the match off.
They circle the ring, staring each other down before tying up. Michaels forces Cena back into the corner and gives him a big chop across the chest. Cena responds by charging out of the corner and taking Michaels down with a hard clothesline! Michaels rolls out of the ring, but Cena brings him back in over the top rope. HBK stands up and is slammed by Cena, who then stomps away at Michaels. Shawn stands up and is whipped into the opposite ropes, but catches himself on them. Cena charges and is backdropped over the top rope to the steel outside! And there's our first use of steel! But you know it's not going to be the last in this hellacious matchup! Michaels launches himself over the ropes at Cena when he stands up, and both men fall to the steel ground. Shawn grabs Cena by his head when he stands, and drives him face-first into the chain link that makes the walls of the structure. Another chop, and Michaels scoop slams Cena to the steel. The lights then go down, and a spotlight comes on, alternating chambers until Carlito is highlighted.
Carlito comes out of the chamber and immediately goes after Michaels, slamming him face-first into the cage and unleashing left fists into HBK's face. He dumps Shawn over the top rope back into the ring and goes to the top rope. Carlito hits a cross-body on Shawn, covering for a two count. A few clotheslines from Carlito take Shawn down and Carlito applies a chin lock on the veteran.
Before long, Cena comes back into the ring and hits another huge clothesline on Carlito, taking him down to the mat. Michaels is out as Cena hits a bulldog on Carlito. Carlito stands up and Cena lifts him to his shoulders for an FU, but Carlito slides down his back and rolls him up! 1...2...no! Cena kicks out as the lights go down again, and the spotlight returns.
This time, it's Chris Masters that enters the match! Masters hits the ring and wastes no time in slamming Cena. Carlito and Masters seem to make a non-verbal agreement to work together as they double-team Cena in the corner before drumping him over the top to the steel.
Masters and Cena brawl on the outside as Carlito lifts Shawn to his feet. Michaels pushes Carlito away and hits a surprise Sweet Chin Music on Carlito, but is unable to capitalize on it as they're both out. Cena suplexes Masters to the steel and then makes his way in to cover Carlito, who kicks out at 2! Adrenaline keeps Carlito in this one as it has to be the biggest match of his young career! It's time for another superstar to enter the match, and this time it's The Big Red Machine Kane! He throws Masters into the chain link, then enters the ring to confront Cena. The two brawl as Carlito and Michaels have exited under the bottom ropes. Kane punches Cena into the ropes, then whips him across the ring. Cena ducks a Kane boot, hitting a spinout powerbomb. Cena signals and goes for the 5-knuckle shuffle, but as he approaches the ropes, he's hit by a Sweet Chin Music from HBK! Cena stumbles backwards and is wrapped around the throat by Kane! Kane chokeslams Cena in the middle of the ring.
Before Kane can pin Cena, though, Masters enters the ring behind him and applies the Master Lock! The action continues as Carlito makes his way back in and hits a BackCracker on his partner Chris Masters! Carlito covers Chris Masters and eliminates him from the match Can you believe that!? Carlito just eliminated his own partner from the Elimination Chamber! Well, you know what they say, King. All's fair in love, war, and Elimination Chamber WWE Championship matches! Kane shows his appreciation for Carlito by hitting him with a chokeslam in the center of the ring! Michaels intercepts by following up with a huge elbow drop from the top rope! HBK stands up and signals for Sweet Chin Music as Carlito stands, but instead he hits Kane! Carlito is hit with one as well, and Michaels pins him to eliminate the other rookie from the match.
Almost as soon as this happens, the lights go down for a final time and Kurt Angle enters the match. He hits both Shawn Michaels and Kane with German Suplexes before locking an Angle Lock in on Shawn. Kane gets to his feet and wraps his hand around Angle's throat. He lifts Angle for a chokeslam, but Kurt gets down behind Kane and Angle Slams him over the top rope to the steel below! Shawn clotheslines Kurt Angle over the top and turns around, only to be hoisted over John Cena's shoulders and driven into the mat! Cena covers after the FU and eliminates Shawn Michaels.
On the outside, Kane has grabbed Kurt Angle and tossed him through the glass chamber that they came out of, effectively taking Angle out for the time being. Kane enters the ring by climbing the top rope and hitting Cena with a lariat. When Cena gets to his feet, Kane goes for a chokeslam, but Cena fights out and locks in an STFU on The Big Red Machine in the middle of the ring! Kane refuses to submit, though, and Cena lets go, pulling Kane up and hoisting him up his shoulders. Kane slides down Cena's back, pushing John into the ropes and hitting a big boot! John gets up after Kane makes a slashing motion across his throat, and Kane lifts him up on his shoulder for a tombstone! Cena slides out the back and pushes Kane into the ropes, hitting a quick assisted FU to the monster and slowly draping his arm over Kane's chest to eliminate him. Before Cena can even think that he's got one last challenger left, Angle is back in the ring and locking another Angle Lock on, this time on John Cena! He grapevines the leg, and Cena looks to be in a hopeless state. Cena is about to pass out, but refuses to tap. When he's apparently out, Angle releases and looks at the referee. "CALL ME THE VICTOR. I WIN!" he yells, but the referee argues back that Cena has not been pinned or submitted. Angle turns and tries to flip the unconscious Cena, but Cena springs into action and rolls Angle up, catching him by enough surprise to get a 1...2...3! King! King! Do you know what this means!? Cena has defied the odds! Cena is walking out of New Year's Revolution with the WWE Championship! Cena has silenced all of the critics! But wait, Joey, what's Kurt doing!? Kurt Angle has stood up and put the boots to Cena several times, screaming at John as he lies on the ground. He picks Cena up and punches him several times in the face, having to hold Cena up as he bloodies him. He gives the battered champion an Angle slam and gets out of the ring as suddenly... Wait right there, referee! Ladies and Gentlemen...I present to you...the man who is cashing in his Money in the Bank privelige for a WWE Championship match...right now. Please welcome, the Rated R Superstar...EDGE! Edge wastes no time in running down to the ring with his briefcase, handing it to the referee who then rings the bell. Cena is barely able to make it to his feet, but is quickly put down with a spear! Edge pins Cena, and
1...
2...
NO! Cena kicks out at the very last second! Edge stands up and picks up Cena, putting him into the ground with an Impaler DDT that leaves a blood spot on the ring. Edge then goes to another corner and hits another spear on Cena, this time pinning him for the victory.
EDGE has SHOCKED the world! He's cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and now he's walking out as the WWE Champion! I can not believe the history we've just witnessed!

well these were the same results with the exception of Benjamin/Tomko, but I can take it anyway. I knew Edge was going to win the WWE Championship, I'm wondering if wer'e going to see a live sex celebration between Edge and Lita which I hope not, great PPV Show.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW JANUARY 9TH, 2006 RAW opens with a collection of still images from New Year's Revolution, focusing on the intense action of the Elimination Chamber match, as well as Edge's shocking cash-in on a bloody and battered John Cena after the match. The video ends with Joey Styles' proclomation that "Edge has shocked the world!" And tonight, Edge promises to shock the world once again as he has guaranteed he will celebrate his WWE Championship victory with a live sex celebration. Woo-hoo! That's unlike anything we've ever seen before, Joey! I say, let the era of Edge begin! One man who will completely disagree with that, King, is former champion John Cena, who I've heard has been banned from the arena tonight by Vince McMahon, stating that it's for his own good after his brutal beating last night in the Elimination Chamber. Yeah, but enough about ancient history, Styles! It's time for RAW!
Shelton Benjamin vs Tomko In a rematch of their New Year's Revolution encounter, Shelton Benjamin's confidence is obviously growing as he postured and preened at several points in this matchup en route to another victory over Tomko, this time via T-Bone Suplex. I'm standing by for the first-ever exclusive interview with the new WWE Champion...Edge. Edge, are you really going to give us a live sex celebration on RAW tonight? And what does that even mean? Of course I'm going to give you a live sex celebration on RAW, Coach. Are you trying to call me a liar? I'm NOT a liar. I told these people the minute they turned on me that I would become WWE Champion, with or without their support. And guess what I accomplished last night? I told these people that I am the greatest wrestler to set foot in that ring, and guess what I proved last night? And tonight, I'm telling these people that they are getting a LIVE sex celebration. And, Coach? That means...exactly what you think it means. Backstage, Vince McMahon is in his office, watching Shawn Michaels get eliminated from the Elimination Chamber match over and over again, when Shawn walks into the office, looking upset. You wanted to see me, Vince? That's "Mr. McMahon" to you, dammit, and I suggest you learn some respect. I was just watching you lose last night, the way you always seem to do, and I was thinking how much it must sting for you to have lost what could very well be your last WWE title match ever. And I thought I'd give you a measure of revenge tonight. That's right, tonight you go one-on-one with Kurt Angle in our main event. And Shawn...do try not to get too hurt. Triple H proved that his rage was not sated at New Year's Revolution by hitting Eugene with everything he had in this match before rolling over him with a Pedigree and heading towards the Royal Rumble match. A video package airs showing Mark Henry decimating Batista inside of the cage on Smackdown, as well as announcing the main event for Smackdown this Friday being Mark Henry vs Rey Mysterio. Backstage, Mickie James approaches Trish Stratus Hey, Trish, I know that you beat me last night at New Year's Revolution...but I came REALLY REALLY CLOSE, RIGHT? So, I think I should get, like, one more title match, right? Don'tcha think so? I, uh...yeah, Mickie. You gave me a run for my money. Tell ya what, I'll give you another shot at my title at the Royal Rumble...if you win your match tonight...alright?
Torrie Wilson vs Mickie James With the motivation given to her by her idol Trish Stratus, Mickie James defeated Torrie Wilson with a Mick Kick to earn a title shot at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View.
Non-Title Match Kane and Big Show (c) vs Chris Masters and Carlito Chris Masters didn't seem to be able to trust Carlito in this match after Carlito eliminated his tag team partner at New Year's Revolution from the WWE Championship match. That ended up being their downfall as Masters abandoned Carlito in the ring and left him to be double-chokeslammed, leading to a pinfall victory for the champions.
Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels Even with their injuries from the night before in tow, these two future legends put on a hell of a wrestling match. Both men attempted and hit finishers on each other and kicked out of them respectively. The ending of this pay-per-view caliber match came when Shawn Michaels countered an Angle Slam attempt and pushed Angle away, allowing him to hit a Sweet Chin Music and pin Angle for the victory. After the match, Vince McMahon's music hits and the owner comes out on the stage, distracting Michaels in the ring. Angle hits HBK with a German Suplex while he's facing the ramp, then locks in an Angle Lock. He refuses to let go when the referee pleads with him, and McMahon stops security from getting to the ring, Shawn screaming in pain as the announcers speculate that Michaels may have had his ankle broken. When we come back from the commercial break, there's a bed set up in the ring with Edge-patterned sheets on it. Edge and Lita make their way down to the ring and Edge sets the championship on the foot of the bed as they prepare for their "encounters." The two controversial figures go under the covers and start to disrobe, laying their clothes out piece-by-piece on the floor of the ring by the bed. Before they can get too far into their activities, though... Ric Flair comes running out to the ring! King! That's Ric Flair! The man whose very career Edge tried to end last night at New Year's Revolution! I know who that is! But he's got no business being out here! This is Edge and Lita's special night! This has nothing to do with Flair! Ric Flair throws Edge and Lita's clothes out into the crowd, and challenges Edge to fight with his hand gestures. Edge comes out from under the sheets, leaving Lita covered, and brawls with Flair in his underwear. Edge and Flair fight for a few minutes before Edge takes the title belt and drives it into Flair's face. As Flair lays unconscious in the ring, Edge gets two chairs from under it. He sets Flair's face on one, and raises the other high above his head. He hits a brutal con-chair-to on a prone Flair, and RAW goes off the air with him raising the WWE title high in the air as Flair lies at his feet.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN! | JANUARY 14TH, 2006.
The Mexicools vs MNM Smackdown kicked off with intense tag team action, as the champions took on The Mexicools in a non-title match. The Mexicools put up a valiant fight, but Psicosis fell to a Snapshot and allowed the champions to pick up the victory via pinfall.
Another video is shown of last week's attack by Mark Henry on Batista inside of the steel cage, with the announcers telling us that Batista is unable to attend the show tonight as he nurses his injuries caused by The World's Strongest Man.
Bobby Lashley vs Finlay Finlay says he loves to fight, and that's just what he was in for here. Lashley was unable to keep up with Finlay's intense brawling, but he was able to stay in the match long enough to hit a Dominator and cover Finlay for the victory.
Matt Hardy vs JBL In another hard-hitting match, JBL took on Matt Hardy in a match set up by their interactions last week. With JBL on the offensive for most of the match, he beat Hardy around the ring. Eventually, though, Matt was able to duck a Clothesline From Hell and roll JBL up, catching the Texan off guard for long enough to get the victory.
Nunzio vs Juventud With the champion sitting ringside on commentary, Juventud took on Nunzio in Cruiserweight action. Kid Kash repeatedly mentioned that he's not afraid of Juventud, who had more success than his stablemates earlier in the night, as he was able to pick up a victory over Nunzio.
After the match, Kash runs into the ring and hits a Brainbuster on Juventud, holding the title above his unconscious body.
Before the next match, a video is shown with highlights of the United States Championship Best-Of-Seven series so far, including Booker T's injury, being replaced by Randy Orton, and Chris Benoit fighting back to get us to the title match tonight.
Chris Benoit (c) vs Randy Orton After tying things up 3-3, Benoit looked to gain the United States Championship by defeating Randy Orton one last time. Things didn't look too good for The Rabid Wolverine when he was hit with an RKO, but he was able to get his foot on the bottom rope just a fraction of a second before the referee counted the 3. When Randy stood and started to argue that it was a pinfall, Benoit rolled him through and locked in a Sharpshooter, forcing Orton to tap out.
Randy Orton does not accept defeat graciously, though, as when Benoit is handed the title, Orton quickly puts him down with an RKO. Orton grabs the championship and drives it into Benoit's face before storming out of the ring, obviously angry at his loss.
Rey Mysterio vs Mark Henry The power of The World's Strongest Man was on full display here as he dominated Rey Mysterio early on. Rey was able to fight back from beneath, though, with the support of the crowd chanting "Eddie! Eddie!" Rey even looked to have Mark Henry on the ropes-literally. He hit a 619 but, when he attempted a follow-up springboard hurricanrana, Mark caught Rey and reversed it into a World's Strongest Slam, covering Rey to pick up the pinfall. Mark Henry looks down at Rey on the ground and doesn't seem to be done with him. He grabs Mysterio by his mask and forces him to his feet, but before he can do any more damage...
Batista runs out to make the save. Mark Henry bails from the ring before Batista can do any damage, but he points to Batista as he retreats up the ramp, making a signal with his hands that he's coming for the World Title.
