When the pictures of this figure first surfaced, wasn't it said that it was exclusive and the first mass retail release of Flair would be the red attire? Maybe the blue with black robe is exclusive to RSC and mass retail will be red with red robe? Just a thought.

Just a few questions I hope ringside will answer (they probably wont but...): - Is this only available through RSC and Kmart? - Is Defining Moments returning? The return of Defining Moments was supposed to be a big surprise but that was obviously spoiled a bit... Glad to see most people are happy with the figure. Since this version of a Defining Moment is meant to celebrate the entire career of the Nature Boy I chose what I felt were his most iconic in ring outfit and robe. If this figure performs well expect more Defining Moments to come. Man, this is AWESOME news !!! I seriously loved the DEFINING MOMENTS series and was sad to see that it ended so soon. I really hope and predict that this will sell like hot cakes and that we'll be seeing many more DM figures in the future. But errr... would the actual line itself be coming back, or would we just get a few Exclusives here and there  |

Really excited to finally get Flair but I think the bigger news is this could lead to DM getting fully resurrected and that means even more legends on top of the Elite line FBs........

Oh great... Just when it looked like my wallet would get a little bit of a breather. Damn you Mattel! Why must you pump out awesome figures like this all the time? Seriously, can't you phone it in for a series or two so that us collectors can get a much needed break? C'mon guys, be a pal...
Super stoked to finally get a Mattel Ric Flair (and in my favorite color ring gear too). Had to decide between cancelling my pre-order for e28 Crush so that I could pre-order Flair or keeping Crush and hoping to get Flair later. Was a pretty easy decision to make... WOOOOOOO!!!!!

I'll be grabbing this for sure. But not off RSC if it's not a internet exclusive. I can be patient on this. Will be nabbing that CM Punk exclusive first since it's available now, no sense in jumping the gun on a figure I won't get my hands on for another 60 days or so.

Mattel has just made my year... I can't believe that DM is back, and such an awesome figure to start. I hope this is the first of many and even if they shared exculsives with Kmart etc... Great job Mattel...

The dude had damn near 40 year career.... so there is a lot of ground to cover.... my favorite - early 90's WWF...... Before Mattel is done with Flair figures I could see (and would probably buy all of): - early 80s NWA green trunks/yellow boots - late 80s 4 Horsemen Flair (the DM baby blue is nice for this spot) - Early 90s WWE red trunks - late 90s WCW purple trunks - early 2000s WWE/Evolution in a suit - late 2000s/retirement period black trunks It would be nice to see an evolution of Flair's head appropriate to each period as his hair got shorter, thinner, and more white/less blonde so that each release is a bit more unique and not just a straight up repaint. |
