Hope the skin tone matches better in the final product. Cause I'll buy if it does.

Looks like the skin tone is painted on and maybe the base is the brown used for the hair and beard?

I wonder what took so long for a shaggy haired scan to be made. Was Mattel banking on him shaving his head? Anyway, I hope this headscan is on his BoPPV WMXXX (if he's in the line up, that is) but knowing our luck he'll probably come back after his injury with no hair or beard. Same thing has happened with other wrestlers that grew their hair out or changed it significantly. Kofi Kingston had long hair from mid-2009 but Mattel didn't put that in figure form until series 8, which came out in early 2011. By that time, Kofi was changing his hair to the style that didn't come out in figure form until late 2011 with Elite 17. CM Punk's Macho Man tribute figure has the wrong hair. When Punk wore that outfit, he already had the longer, slicked-back hair... But Mattel used the short hair headsculpt based on his commentators/early Nexus run from six months before the Macho Man tribute. It's partly due to it usually taking 9-12 months to get a new headsculpt out, and partly due to hair growing gradually. With Bryan, his hair's just been getting longer and longer since late 2012. He even said himself, it took a long time for people he knows to even realise his hair got long because it was gradual and because the beard distracted from it. Here's a picture of him from when Cena chose him to be the contender at SummerSlam: ![](http://www.wwe.com/f/styles/photo_large/public/photo/image/2013/07/RAW_1051_Photo_240-1) His hair's longer than on the Elite 29 figure, but not that much longer. So it's like, when their hair's getting a bit longer each week, at what point do you pull the trigger and say someone needs a new headsculpt?

I like it a lot. Once it's the same color of the body it'll look a lot nicer.

See, somebody takes the picture from the right angle and it looks much better. Of course you don't get a good idea of what a figure looks like from an upshot. Lots of people look weird at the angle.
I think the hair looks fine at that length and I don't see them changing it unless they just use it to death and want a different facial expression, that or it gets so long it hangs to his butt.

I personally like the smile scan better than the closed mouth version, or at least from what I can tell.

I'm not hating the scan but it needs a better paint job that's all

Erm, I may have some bad news. I saw this on evilbay and it looked exactly how it did in the picture. So that may be the final product.

I could have sworn I saw another photo of the head on Twitter and it looked much better.

Why couldn't they just have made the base color a normal skin color like the other D Bry figures. Hopefully this scan looks better in person cause it does look really good aside from the terrible paint job.

That's the Shaggy prototype scan from Scooby Doo two packs series two on a Bryan body. Shaggy doesn't even have a beard.

I'm actually more discouraged by the second pic than I was by the first. Now not only are the eyes still a problem, but so is the whole skin tone. It's just not a good likeness. I'm sure it's hard when a guy has a long flowing beard and long hair. I was disappointed by the Harper scan too. A mass of hair isn't a solid object that translates well to sculpture. Still no excuse for how bad this is. I will not be buying any figures that use this scan (unless the baf lawler fig does) but I'm really disappointed by mattels decision to save a few cents on paint by casting the head in the color of the hair and painting the face instead (unless this is just a very early proto entirely painted by hand... Let's hope) this is one of the worst figures they've made since year one.

I love the expression and the scan itself. But ( MattelDesignTeam hear me on this) please don't EVER paint skin tone. I understand it may be easier to do in some cases, but it NEVER looks right afterwards.

Waiting for someone to touch up those photos with some photoshop skills so the headscan has a better skintone color......

Painted skintone on the face always looks off. It looks terrible on customs. It brought the CS Bruiser Brody down a notch as it does to the human characters in the Star Wars Black 6" line. The painted hands on the TRU BAF figures bring them down even if just slightly.
