Personally I'd like for them to have two MITB matches. One for the briefcase and one for the title. Then after a new Champion is crowned, I'd have the winner of the briefcase attack and cash in on the new champion immediately following their victory.
How would you book it?

I think it's risky not having a title match at Payback to be honest. I thought perhaps they might go the traditional route of vacating the title and having a Battle Royal later on in the night to crown a new champion.
Alternatively, I'd love for them to put the belt on Regal, then have a feud between him and Bryan later on. It'll never happen, but I'd love to see it anyway.

Bryan isn't dropping it. I think he will wrestle at thenPPV if anything. They've built this title reign up for a YEAR now and I don't think they're gonna let a minor neck injury ruin all of that.

If it carries until MITB? I would definitely say that a MITB ladder match for the World title is the way to go.
Have a Battle Royale on Raw the night after Payback and then the Raw after.
The Final 3 survivors from each BR head to the MITB match for the title.....and either Barrett or Sheamus(maybe both) need to make the cut as representatives of the mid card to bump things up.

Another possible scenario: WWE may decide to split the titles again. As long as they give the WHC proper attention this time, I think it could work.

John Cena vs Daniel Bryan vs Kane vs Bray Wyatt vs Sheamus vs Cesaro.
And then a MITB for a briefcase which could include:
Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs Bad News vs Cody Rhodes vs Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton vs Batista. (Still have Orton/Batista feuding with the Shield)

I wouldn't mind a MITB ladder match for the title, but I still think Bryan should keep the WWE World Title. I mean if they let Dolph Ziggler keep the World Heavyweight Championship while he had a concussion for a month, then I don't see why Bryan shouldn't be able to keep his title while injured.

If I have to see Bryan fight the Authority to get to the top all over again after seeing it for a year straight I'll be kinda upset. I felt mania 30 was his big payoff. I don't think they wanna start back to square one. IT PISSES ME OFF ALL THATS HAPPENED TO BRYAN SINCE MANIA AND HIS WEDDING. The man never got a chance to enjoy what was supposed to be the greatest time period in his life. Such a shame as he truly deserves it. |

What would be okay would be if Steph "stripped" Bryan like McMahon did Punk in 2011, and they have the big MiTB match for the belt, and after the match, the briefcase winner is shown unconscious backstage, and Bryan comes out with the belt and the case, and challenges the champion, claiming he was never actually stripped.
May be too similar to McMahon/Punk, but then again, after like 2 years WWE tends to forget that everything happened.
