*UPDATED 5/27 with a few more pictures..... Kind of bored today.... and since we had guests over the weekend, I cleaned up my "Hobby Room" as we call it.... so I thought it would be a good day to take, and share, some pictures of my "Wrestling Vault."
The futon folds out, so when we have guests, they are treated to a night of sleeping next to thousands of little eyes staring at them.... I hope they don't mind.
Wall of JAKKS..... this is where I display the ones I've gotten autographed, or hope/expect to have autographed soon, or just my favorites.....
The pillows...
This Ric Flair poster used to hang in my college dorm room... It's as thin as an onion skin and it's tattered.... but I'm proud to still be displaying it nearly 20 years later! Ahhh, if posters could talk....
Corner of "Macho".....
Some random figures from my years of collecting.....
These are two of my favorite items in my collection.... the attention to detail on these Michael Buffer & Gene Okerlund figures is way underrated (I don't usually use that term).
This was the cover of the first wrestling magazine I ever got..... I loved this time period, when people ask me about when "wrestling was good" - this is the era I think of first; I was pleased to have "King Duggan" sign it for me last year....
My Mattel wall.... mainly Flashbacks/Legends/Exclusives right now..... again, I hope to get many of them signed.....
My photo "Wall of Fame"...... again, I'd like to get many of these photos signed/personalized.....
Met Cesaro at WrestleMania 29 Fan AXXESS..... took this print from WWE Magazine, had it laminated before getting it signed - all the prints I have framed are laminated to preserve them....
Ahhh, the DVD library.... this doesn't include the Blu Rays, I keep them in the main living room of my house.
DVD overflow.... they don't all fit on the shelf anymore.....
Two PPV events that I attended.... although the 'Mania 29 chair actually came from K Mart, but I still like it. The Unforgiven chair was my actual seat at the PPV in 2003, when Goldberg defeated Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship..... it was a really good PPV.
Some print ads from shows that I attended.... Royal Rumble 2004, I'm glad I saved the print ad - since WWE forgets that this event ever existed.
Found this U.S. Title at a flea market.... not a real replica, but better than the "kiddie" ones.....
Some random wrestling stuff....
Some print ads & magazine covers that I LOVE.....
The Sting collection....
The CM Punk collection.....
The crown jewel.... The Ric Flair Collection.....
The Hulk Hogan collection.....
My WrestleMania 29 display....
The Shawn Michaels collection.... funny thing is, I never set out to start a Shawn Michaels collection.... but one day, I discovered that I had a TON of his stuff, so I set this up.
One of my favorite Shawn Michaels figures... so random, so obscure... I couldn't believe they made a figure of HBK mocking Hulk Hogan. A true highlight in my collection...
Some random recent pickups, you guys have seen most of these already....
My ROKU 2 hooked up to my old college TV, so I can stream the Network while enjoying my collection.....
These are the figures that I don't have room to display at the moment - I bought these cases from Michael's craft store, they're about five bucks each. This way I can find figures quickly when I'm looking for specific ones.... when I get a bigger "Hobby Room" I hope to display more of these figures.... Most of them came from flea markets but some of them are in new condition.
Some new Diva pickups! I couldn't pass up the Bellas when I saw them at retail for the first time ever....
Some older pickups that I just don't have enough wall space for (right now).... maybe in my next house.
I got this at the flea market - apparently it hung in a casino somewhere in New Jersey, before the guy sold it to me for 10 bucks.... I plan to re-hang it in my collection room (when I can figure out how)....
One of my favorite magazine covers, signed by Kevin Nash.... I'm supposed to get Scott Hall's signature on it this weekend! I hope he shows up!
I've also got about ten plastic bins filled with both loose and carded, mostly JAKKS & Hasbro stuff.... I'll have to take those out and add them another day..... here are some examples of what's in those....
Pay attention, Mattel.... this is what an "Old School" Andre The Giant is supposed to look like!
As I was going through my collection for this project, I found these.... man, I searched for a loooong time to find these guys.... it felt great when I finally found the JAKKS Rhythm & Blues Three-Pack!
Thanks for looking! Now I'll curl up on the futon and watch the RAW Post Show on the WWE Network!
