The Screwjob happens but it's a work and Bret Hart never leaves WWF. The Screwjob happens in Montreal just as it did and Bret disappears until the DX PPV where he (instead of Owen) attacks HBK at the end of the match. Hart Foundation feuds with DX throughout 1998. Austin and Rock still get their pushes. Owen doesn't die. Good things happen. yep, or at the very least if the screwjob did happen, bret being managed properly in wcw. but preferably how you put it.

Either the attempted Bischoff acquiring WCW deal doesn't fall through or WWF pushes harder to acquire the necessary talent to properly book the invasion angle.

Shawn not getting injured at the 1998 Royal Rumble/ doesn't get bad into his drug problem. That way he is around for the rest of the attitude era and already there when the other "wrestlers" come over in 99/2000. Though this makes sense, it was brought to my attention that if that never happened, more than likely WWE would've went under. They were losing in the ratings and if Austin didn't win the title then the whole Monday Night Wars would've been at a loss. If you didn't know HBK wanted to win WM 14, but couldn't because of his back. He was even scheduled to win. So maybe it was a good thing. This is an amazing thread idea by the way.

Oh man, that's a good one. Besides the obvious Owen Hart/Droz changes... My #1 Choice:
1. Vince McMahon buys WCW, but actually sells it to Shane McMahon to run as a legitimately separate organization. With a TV deal, PPV's, etc. I hated WCW by the year 2001, but I never imagined its death would destroy the entire Professional Wrestling industry. We all thought it would usher in some type of golden age where the best fight the best.
And a close second.
2. Summerslam 1994, Owen Hart defeats Bret Hart for the WWF Championship.
Honorable mentions.
3. Steve Austin vs. Owen Hart piledriver never happens at Summerslam '97. 4. Bret Hart never feuded with Goldberg in WCW, therefore never injured. 5. Shawn Michaels never injured in 1998.

John Cena winning at WM21
i thought that it'd made better sense if he'd wait till Judgement Day to win the belt

I don't know that I'd actually want to change it, but it sure would be interesting to see what the professional wrestling business would have become had The Iron Sheik taken Verne Gagne's $100,000 offer to break Hulk Hogan's leg and take the WWF Championship to AWA instead of doing the job and thus giving birth to Hulkamania. If you want a true history changing event, that'd be it.

Not sure if that's the one but I haven't thought about it much. The Rock staying in 2003.

You replace Miz's reign with a JTG reign and it would have achieved the same amount of success. I don't agree, JTG would've been much more entertaining. It's difficult to pick between The Screwjob not happening in real life & the Benoit tragedy happening. Probably have to go with the Benoit tragedy.

Mr Perfect wins WWE title during face run in 1993.
Perfect doesn't suck during his 2002 return nor does he get in a fight on that plane. Wins IC strap for 3rd time.
Rock beats Austin clean at WM17

Vince buys WCW right after Halloween Havoc 1998. WCW was still hot, the NWO was still hot, and a true invasion angle would've been very cool at the time. I know WCW had to start tanking before Turner would sell, but I wanted this to happen so bad when I was a kid. By the time it did happen a lot of my favorite guys from the 80s-90s were too old or were already replaced with fresher stars.
