Also hearing Vidal linked to Liverpool. That would really hurt for United. Would make me lol.

Highly doubt Vidal will go to Liverpool so not really bothered about that. We're still a more attractive prospect in the long run; 1 season doesn't undo the 20 beforehand, and the bookies at least have us as more likely to get top 4 than Liverpool (and Arsenal).
Suppose we need to crack on with other targets now. Carvalho would be fine, I just had my heart set on Vidal. A centre back is definitely more pressing now, maybe 2 if we're playing 3-5-2. De Vrij and one other. Vermaleen would be fine but pointless if we let Smalling go the other way. Get them in, sell one of the wingers (Nani probably) and also buy a cm that can tackle (and preferably be box-to-box like Vidal).

Well he is quite energetic but I'm not sure to what extent he can tackle. I suppose if we got someone who could just sit in front of the defence then Herrera would be the box to box man. That might actually make more sense than Vidal tbh.

What's the odds Drogba ends up being Chelsea's saviour if Costa flops?

More successful tackles than anyone in Man Utd's midfield last season. Think he's perfect for United really but the whole new Scholes crap needs to stop. Paul Scholes... Now there's someone that couldn't tackle

It seems the focus should then transition to a more holding midfielder, not sure who though. Blind maybe? He can play there and also provide cover for LB.

Man Southampton are going to be loaded but they could be in real trouble. Their defence is being decimated. Lovren to Liverpool, Chambers to Arsenal and Fonte to Cardiff all looking likely. They could really struggle even if they do invest, could be a case of too many new faces.

It's been on the news over here that Liverpool is on a fight with Monaco over Gaitan. Newspapers say Liverpool made a 38M euros bid while Monaco is sending some staff to Lisbon during this week.
Enzo Perez keeps beeing linked with United too. Valencia is also interested.
If both leave, since January, we will lose 8 of the starting 11. So in 6 months it will be about 160M euros on sales... What a champions league we will have though...

Okay so I guess Remy isn't heading to Liverpool. Didn't he fail a medical in the past? (I want to say with Stoke) because of an underlying heart condition. May be the same thing.

Yeah I remember Ba failing a medical with Stoke and he ended up at West Ham instead, and whatever it was that stopped them from signing him hasn't flared up so far. And it's been 3 years.
Can't help but feel that it may be the case again with Remy.

You guys are right, my bad! Really think Remy would have been a decent signing for Liverpool. Shame it hasn't worked out.

I was actually against the whole Drogba return. The way he left will never be repeated by anyone, it's a shame to ruin that sentiment just to sit on the bench. But, reality kicks in and it's a case of head over heart. We'll get around £25-30million in Shirt Sales from him.

Have to admit I didn't think Southampton would be gutted this badly. Osvaldo to Inter and Rodriguez & Schneiderlin to Spurs make it eight first team sales.

I read on their message board that after hearing of Rodriguez and Schneiderlin to Spurs, 5 more players now want to leave and an unnamed Premier League club (probably Liverpool) have enquired about Nathaniel Clyne.

Don't know what to think about Lukaku. I'm certain its poor business for Chelsea - the kid is fantastic, and in 2 years will probably be better than even Costa. Everton on the one hand have secured a top talent at a reasonable price, but on the other just dropped £30m to have the same squad as last season when they have like 15 extra games. They need another striker as backup imo.
