Looking into doing my first custom. How well do various Jakks and Mattel parts come together? Is there a beginners guide to this information?

Some heads go well, and some r3 tech hands can work but anything other than that you're probably going to wanna stray away from

I've seen Jeff Hardy customs with Elite bodies and his R3 scan. I'm guessing this works without modification?

On the subject, does anyone know which series specifically has the smallest jakks heads? I would think RA, or maybe CA.

I know that mattel arms fit on a jakks figure. And that a jakks head fits on a mattel figure. That's about it. Hope I could help.

Heads, if you're extra careful you don't have to break the figure by removing the peg. Early RA series and CS series work well too.

I know Jakks & Mattel Diva parts mix well for the most part. For males I would only think "some" heads would work.

I fif a couple of customs using a mike knox torso for jimmy garvin and steve keirn i think it worked really well to be honest the smaller jakks arms fit perfectly.

Now I know why I have basic Mike Knox lower bodies with no torsos lol That torso works so well for mid sized 80's guys with a hairy chest!!! If you check out my old customs thread you can see the garvin and keirn with the Mattel chest. |
