Well with all the hullabaloo about the championship, I assume that there will be a lot of discussion about it so we'll just have one big happy thread for it all.
We seem to be shaping up magnificently and if Boyd and G Shinnie come on board then we will have the strongest squad outside Celtic by quite a distance. The option to have Rooney and Boyd up front (who I didn't notice was only 30) is something that would have won us the Scottish cup and 2nd last season. We didn't have a plan b because we didn't have the squad depth and it killed us in the end.
I haven't really seen much of other teams so far but it's still very early doors I suppose.

Archie's smart in the renewals, but we need to get our river out and start signing some new players. Left back, striker and centre half are needed.
I look at Dundee and hamilton as rivals this season, they've started their signings, we only seem to be on the interest stage.

Well done Hibs, you have truly shown how smart and well run your club is. Bravo!

Ryan Stevenson signed on a two year deal. One of hearts best players last season, excellent choice by archie.

PudgieTheSheep is currently downing a bottle of vodka at the news Calvin Zola has left Aberdeen. We wish him all the best. And to Alan Archibald, please don't sign him. Thanks...

Nah min, had enough of that at the weekend! I'm actually quite sorry for him. There's a player in there, he just really didn't suit our style at all and wasn't mobile enough. In a front 2 he'd be ok.
Looks like that's Boyd on his way here. If not, then I'm pretty confident of Higdon coming. Looks like we're really pushing on for this season. I was worried that we'd lose players and flop, now there's no excuse. A left back is still a priority though. I'd much rather a decent LB than another striker.
In Del we trust!

We're fighting it out with Falkirk for Lyle Taylor, apparently. I'm actually worried what with the two Edinburgh clubs and Rangers in that league. Surely he'll see Falkirk's never winning the league and that the premiership is where he should be playing. Offer him any amount he wants, we need him!

Boyd out, someone in! McInnes will have someone lined up. We won't know until it's announced though, which is great for a surprise and for getting a good deal but nae use for transfer rumour fun.
Oh...
[terrible joke]
We should offer Suarez a contract...
HE'D BITE OUR HAND OFF!!!!

Putting my faith in Archie, he has to have a few signings lined up. Better to be patient than panic buy like Dundee are doing.

3-1 win for us in Spain, Declan McDaid got two and Duggan came on for Stevenson who started up front. 3 Trialist Defenders on and still playing about with Christie at right back.
I'd be more than happy for the youngsters to get in on it this season.
Baubens on trial at Hearts, I'd have liked to have got him back next season despite the general consensus amongst Thistle fans of him being, er, pish! I liked him. Minority here.

Good luck to Aberdeen tonight in the Europa.
Archie's starting to have me worried, I believe in him that he knows what he's doing but 2 signings and no LB or Striker yet is cause for concern.

2nd last Pre season game at Fleetwood done, nil nil. Main thing coming out of that is no trialists lined up for us today. With a week and a half till kick off I'm starting to worry.

My god! What a trip! My throat is still sore from a 20 minute Northern Lights. Up at 5am from Edinburgh where we stayed with a mate, flew to Bordeaux, stayed there for a night and then took the train to San Sebastian. That's where it got messy. Straight to the pub, three vodka and cokes and a booze cruise later I was put to bed. Woke up still boozy and was in the pub from 10 o'clock until 7am after the game. Skinny dipping on the beach on the way back to the hotel as well.
Drink of the trip was certainly the Calamuchos. Red wine and coca cola. Sounds terrible but tastes absolutely gorgeous! Have a go if you can.

First day of the season is over then, Hamilton already been found out. I don't think they'll do well this season. Dundee I'm concerned about, think they'll do well this season.
Good day for us, all the teams that were round about us last season dropped points.
Looking forward to Wednesday now even more.
