Yeah, I'm really not looking forward to becoming ugly, gross and feeble.

I work in a nursing home so I know all the nasties about getting old, how little you can do for yourself (if anything at all) soon as my health starts deteriorating im going to pull the plug on myself.

Yes. I am incredibly afraid of death, terrified even. And of course as a result of getting old, death becomes increasingly more likely to happen. I'm probably just a morbid person, but with my birthday, instead of thinking "I'm another year older, woo hoo!", I just think "Ugh, one year closer to death...". There is nothing in the world that I am more terrified of than death, and if I'm lucky, I will live to an old age. After death, that's it. I'll not be aware of anything or feel anything ever again. The universe may as well stop. That's truly terrifying, and something that I stay awake almost every night thinking about.
Of course being old has negative images. Old, wrinkly, saggy skin. Potential loss of mind. Inability to perform simple tasks. Loved ones dying. Bad treatment in care homes.
I just hope I'll live to be around for the 100th anniversary of Doctor Who in 2063. Admittedly, I definitely do not look after myself. In fact the complete opposite. The majority of what I eat and drink consists of junk food and soft drinks. I don't exercise, and mostly sit around all day on my laptop. If I want to reach old age, I really should start making changes to my life.

I'm afraid of my parents getting older. I'm already seeing my grandpa with shingles and he went from being really active to barely leaving the house in a month.

No. I'm afraid of cancer, HIV, and spiders. These are situations that can happen when I'm 25.
