Hey guys,
I've never posted in this section before because I only collect Hasbro, LJN & AWA Remcos.
I've been building my collection by buying lots and selling my doubles (it helps offfset the cost).
Well, a month before WWE Network launched, I asked the other guys in the OTHER BRANDS section if they thought the network launch would increase prices a bit. I just had a hunch people would get a renewed interested in classics and older wrestling figures.
It appears I was right (concerning Hasbro & LJNs). Loose figures that would normally sell for $4-$5 now sell for $8 to $9...so on and so on.
For those who buy and or sell on evilBay, I was just wondering if anyone has noticed an increase in Jakks Classic Superstars since the WWE Network launch? I'm thinking about buying some classic Jakks once I finish up buying the few LJN variants & WCW Galoob UK releases I need. I'm just curious if the increase is across the board or if guys in their 30s are just buying their old childhood Hasbros & LJNs.
Thanks!

It looks like it. I have been looking for some old Jakks CS figures and they are expensive on ebay now.

CS figures were always expensive on the secondary market When Mattel WWE first came out, people who made the switch from Jakks sold their CS figures for almost nothing. But after the Legends line flopped, Jakks CS started becoming expensive again

That's a good guess. Couple that with Mattel dropping the ball and the odds being very very low of ever getting most of these guys. Classic Superstars had one of the deepest rosters of any toy line in history.

I sold my collect of 22 Jakks classics for £76, not great when you work out individual price per figure but i was happy with that as you always get less for selling in bulk.

I wouldn't doubt it. There's more exposure to these characters now more than ever and since mattel hasn't made that many of them, people have to buy JAKKS, LJN, Hasbro, etc. Supply and demand my friend.
