Even as a Pelicans fan I can't hate on Davis wanting to leave. I just hope Dell Demps isn't the guy who gets to make the trade. Whatever the case Davis can't play another game for them ever again, Holiday is either going to have be traded or scratched for "injury", and Moore, Mirotić, and Randle need to be traded. They have a lot of catching up to do to get one of the first picks in the draft this year lol. When I look at Davis I see a great player, top five in the league, who gave the Pelicans eight years and yet they never put a supporting cast around him that could make a deep run in the playoffs. It doesn't help that there has been some high level competition in his path but he should be the centerpiece of a team that is at least close to the level of a GS, Houston, or whichever team LeBron has graced with his presence that year, not a one and done and there's always next year team that never actually delivers next year. He's still young enough that if he gets on the right team he could have a five year run at or near the top and get a ring or two. I say good luck to him as he tries to find the right home.

Man forget making a deep run in the playoffs; they could only get in twice. In fifteen years they've had Chris Paul and Anthony Davis and you can still count on one hand the number of times they've even made the postseason. They're a pretty awful franchise that flies under the radar because of teams like the Knicks and Kings.

Lakers offered the Pelicans Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Ivaca Zubic, KC Pope and draft picks for Anthony Davis and NO said NO! Most of those “prospects” haven’t lived up to expectations. Kuzma is good and can get even better. Ball and Ingram have been disappointments. KCP hasn’t done much this year and will be a FA this summer. And we can assume the picks aren’t going to be that great considering Lebron will drag this team to the playoffs for most if not all of the years he will be in LA. I don’t blame NO for not being enticed right away by it. There’s still 48 hours till the deadline and they can also see what the summer brings since it’s not a guarantee AD will opt out. They could also look at sign and trade options if he does opt out.

Quite a bit has happened today and the deadline hasn't hit yet! Interesting moves all around, biggest being the Harris deal. Should be good for Philly's spacing and depth. Will put pressure on the Raptors to do something though.

No idea why I see so many Sixers fans complaining about the Tobias Harris trade. Yeah you lose a high quality shooter in Shamet, but at the same time you’re solving your PF issue as well as adding a great backup center. Now you have a situation where if one of Jimmy or Tobias walks as a FA, you have the other as a kind of safety net. The positive far outweighs the negative in this trade for Philly.
It’s a win for LAC too, they clear more cap space for a big FA in the offseason as well as add multiple draft picks for their future. Not to mention they add a known quality role player in Shamet. The Clips know that in their situation it’s way more worth it to build for the future than to push for a first round exit as a 6-8 seed. Great move for both teams.

The Celtics are apparently prepared to offer Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Marcus Smart and 3 draft picks for Anthony Davis. HE DOESNT EVEN WANT TO COME TO BOSTON!!!

As much flack as the Lakers are getting, I don’t think NOLA played this right. I don’t envy their position.
I like Tatum a lot but that Celtics package is marginally better than what the Lakers were offering. Sheesh...

Markelle Fultz traded to the Magic. What a waste of a #1 pick.

What a finish to the Lakers/Celtics game! Rondo at the buzzer off a loose ball, 129-128. They rebounded rather well after the 42-point loss and trade talk.

Very fair trade, great move for Philly to go all in and a great trade for LAC to rebuild around. Anyone's game in the east now that the Raptors got a little bit of downlow help with Gasol. Shocked to see that but he's basically a matured, polished JV. The rest were good but filler.

For some reason Embiid always has trouble against him when we play Toronto.

Get rid of your best player, your steady big man, and your hustle/grit guy. Plus kyrie is gonna walk. All for Davis. Then those picks become lottery picks. NO should pounce all over this

What incentive do the Celtics have to include Tatum in any trade scenario? All the Lakers need to do is walk away from the table and the Pelicans would have no choice than to accept the scrap heap from whatever team. Ainge isn’t that big of a ing buffoon..

That would be a good idea. Boston is deep, they could trade for AD with all that (let's assume he wants to go there), but they could trade for any superstar. Or, they can trade for a few upper level pieces to get a really good starting lineup with Kyrie, Horford (aging but the guy is so damn smart out there, and Hayward.

This is way too steep a price for a 1 year rental.

He'll go somewhere else. I wasn't saying a one year rental, I just meant they have the assets to make a splash in other ways. Definitely changes the direction for the team though if Kyrie is gone.
