CONTROVERSY IN CANADA! | The self-proclaimed "King of the Mountain" has reached the mountain top once again. On September 15th in Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada, Jeff Jarrett managed to regain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Raven. Shockingly, the victory came as a result of involvement from America's Most Wanted, who turned their backs on the world of professional wrestling. Jarrett, "Wildcat" Chris Harris and "Cowboy" James Storm have promised to address the situation on October 1st when TNA iMPACT! debuts on Spike TV. Also in attendance will be the former champion, Raven, who we imagine has a few words of his own to share. |

Looking forward to this! If I recall correctly, this is around the start of Impact Yeah, I'm pretty sure "controversy in Canada" happened right before the first Impact on Spike.

| TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV October 1st, 2005 The iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, FL
The very first edition of TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV kicked off with a special video package featuring some of the company's biggest highlights since 2002. The video then focuses on all of the current champions. TNA X Division Champion, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Naturals, and finally, the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion, "The King of the Mountain" Jeff Jarrett. The highlights continued as the voice over stated that the dawn of a new age was upon us. "This is TNA, the new face of professional wrestling."
After a brand new intro aired, Mike Tennay and Don West welcomed everyone to a night that will live in history. The debut of TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV! Pyro was shot from the stage as the audience in Orlando rampantly chanted "TNA!" A graphic was shown for tonight's huge match up between two of the Monster's Ball participants at Bound for Glory, Rhino and "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy. Plus, we will witness the exclusive video footage from September 15th, where Jeff Jarrett captured the NWA World Heavyweight Championship with assistance from America's Most Wanted. But first, we kick things off with the stable of TNA Wrestling - the X Division!
NON-TITLE MATCH X DIVISION CHAMPION AJ STYLES DEF. ALEX SHELLEY Perhaps the most apropos way to kick off iMPACT! on Spike TV. The face of the X Division and its champion, AJ Styles, competed against a man who is looking to rise in the ranks, Alex Shelley. Styles remained in control of the match until "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels came down the aisle way. This caught Styles' attention, allowing Shelley to connect with a single-knee Facebuster. Shelley was then looking to hit the Automatic Midnight, but Styles managed to fight his way out of it, placing Shelley in position for the Styles Clash. "The Phenomenal One" successfully hit the maneuver, covering Shelley to grab the victory.
AJ Styles stood to his feet following the match as he was handed back the X Division Championship, the audience applauding him for his triumphant performance. Christopher Daniels, on the other hand, was furious at ringside as he stared on at the man who holds what he believes is his rightful title. Styles taunted Daniels, daring him to step into the ring. "The Fallen Angel" backed down from the challenge, heading up the entrance ramp while telling Styles that this wasn't over yet between the two of them.
A graphic was shown for the airing of the footage from Canada on September 15th, where Jeff Jarrett regained the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from Raven with assistance from America's Most Wanted. That is still to come later tonight on iMPACT!.
Returning to TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV, a video package was shown for "The Monster" Abyss. Highlights were shown as several TNA personnel, including Mike Tennay and Larry Zybysko, put over the destructive nature of Abyss. With James Mitchell by his side, there seems to be nothing stopping "The Monster" from one day capturing the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
ABYSS W/ JAMES MITCHELL DEF. SONNY SIAKI "Doomsday!" shouted James Mitchell as he and Abyss marched to the ring, and that's exactly what this bout was for Sonny Siaki. Abyss was able to run right through his opponent, throwing him around before delivering a Torture Rack Backbreaker. "In Abyss' eyes, he doesn't see Sonny Siaki right now. He sees Jeff Hardy, Rhino and Sabu, the four men who will compete in the Monster's Ball," stated Mike Tennay commentary. Abyss then threw Siaki into the ropes, catching him with the Black Hole Slam for the win.
After the sound of the bell, James Mitchell stepped into the ring and let out a sinister laugh as Abyss stared down at the motionless body of Sonny Siaki, though he was not satisfied with his carnage. For "The Monster," the real battle comes on October 23rd at Bound for Glory when he meets Jeff Hardy, Rhino and Sabu in the Monster's Ball. "I am actually just receiving word that the Monster's Ball will now be for the #1 contendership to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship!" said Mike Tennay as the stakes have now been raised at Bound for Glory.
Backstage, "The Franchise" Shane Douglas was standing by with the current NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Naturals. Douglas asked the duo for any thoughts regarding the upcoming match between Team Canada and the 3Live Kru as one of them could be their next challengers. "There's one thing that our late mentor, Chris Candido, always told us, and that's to be ready for any and all challenges. It doesn't matter if it's Team Canada, the 3Live Kru or any other team. We are ready for whoever comes after these NWA World Tag Team Championships," said Chase Stevens.
Following the commercial break, Mike Tennay and Don West informed the viewers at home that next week here on Spike TV, "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe will be in action. "Ladies and gentlemen, if you have not seen Samoa Joe in action yet, you are in for a treat," said Tennay to lead us into a video package for Joe. "I am Samoa Joe. I am the undefeated 'Samoan Submission Machine,' and I am pro wrestling," said a voice over from Joe.
TEAM CANADA W/ SCOTT D'AMORE AND A-1 DEF. THE 3LIVE KRU W/ KONAN As stated prior to the commercial break, all eyes were on this match as the winner would perhaps rise in contention for the NWA World Tag Team Championships, currently held by The Naturals. Towards the finish, BG James made the hot tag to Ron Killings, who came in and delivered strikes to both Bobby Roode and Eric Young. As he was going for the Axe Kick, Scott D'Amore grabbed his foot from underneath the bottom rope. This allowed Roode to roll up Killings with his feet on the ropes to steal the victory.
The iMPACT! Zone booed heavily as Bobby Roode stood to his feet, celebrating Team Canada's victory despite using underhanded tactics. Ron Killings, however, was quickly looking for revenge as he went after Roode. Eric Young and A--1 both got involved, as did BG James and Konan. Team Canada was able to get the upper hand until Kip James ran down to the ring to make the save. Team Canada stormed out of the ring as Kip assisted BG up to his feet. Konan delivered a shove to Kip, asking what he was doing. "We don't need you protecting us!" shouted an irate Konan as he and Kip continued to argue. BG James and Ron Killings both attempted to play peacemaker as the issues between the 3Live Kru and Kip James continue.
A graphic was shown for the match between Rhino and Jeff Hardy, which is coming up next on iMPACT!.
A promo was shown for "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown, who will be making his Spike TV debut next week on iMPACT!. "Spike TV is about to become Serengeti Television, and the world will feel the POUNCE.......period!" said Brown himself.
RHINO DEF. JEFF HARDY A huge main event here on Spike TV as two of the Monster's Ball participants at Bound for Glory squared off. Earlier in the evening, we learned that the Monster's Ball will now determine the next #1 contender for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, so both Rhino and Hardy were looking to gain the momentum heading into Bound for Glory. As Hardy was looking for the Twist of Fate, Rhino managed to shove him away. Hardy collided chest-first with the turnbuckle, which allowed "The War Machine" to drill him with a Gore for the victory.
Rhino stirred to his feet as he raised both of his arms in the air, celebrating a huge victory here on iMPACT!. As he was doing so, "The Monster" Abyss came walking down to the ring, picking Jeff Hardy up off of the canvas. Abyss threw him into a corner and delivered repeated strikes as Rhino joined in, the two wanting to eliminate Hardy from the Monster's Ball equation. Their assault soon came to a stop as the lights in the arena went out. When they came back on, we saw the "Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Man" Sabu in the ring! He tossed a chair into the skull of Abyss before going after Rhino. "The War Machine" was able to hit Sabu with a Clothesline before looking to strike with a Gore. As he was in motion, Jeff Hardy caught him with a Twist of Fate! Rhino rolled out of the ring as Hardy and Sabu stood tall, Abyss and James Mitchell looking on from the stage.
A graphic was shown for the exclusive footage from the "Controversy in Canada," which will air next as we will be joined by America's Most Wanted and the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett!
Returning to iMPACT! on Spike TV, footage from an event on September 15th was shown as Raven defended the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Jarrett. Just when it looked like Raven was about to pick up another victory, America's Most Wanted hit the ring and shocked the world. After a Superkick and a Death Sentence, Jarrett was able to pick up the scraps and regain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Cutting back to the iMPACT! Zone, the entrance music of Jeff Jarrett hit as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion made his way down to the ring along with "Wildcat" Chris Harris and "Cowboy" James Storm. The audience booed the trio relentlessly as Jarrett took a microphone. "There is no doubt that this is the greatest day in the history of TNA Wrestling. Not only are we here on Spike TV, but the 'King of the Mountain' is back right where he belongs as the reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion! I said that it happen. In fact, I guaranteed everyone that by the time we arrived on Spike, I would be the champion. Not a single one of you believed me. Hell, not many people in that locker room believed. However, two man did. Chris, James, I think that you both deserve a bit of air time for yourselves," said Jarrett as he handed Harris the microphone. "The Wildcat" stated that he and James Storm made the business decision of a lifetime when they agree to join forces with Jeff Jarrett. "You all boo us, but each and every one of you know that you would have done the same thing. Now, TNA Wrestling is ours for the taking," said Harris. James Storm then took the microphone, saying that there was too much on the table for him to turn down. "Glory, fortune, beer, notoriety, beer, championships and beer!" said Storm before giving Jarrett the microphone. Before the "King of the Mountain" could continue, he was interrupted by the arrival of the former champion, Raven. Raven told Jarrett that he hopes he is happy, as well as America's Most Wanted. "You all go what you wanted. The three of you have the spotlight, and Jarrett, you have the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. It won't be for long, though, because the title is coming back home with me at Bound for Glory. And Jarrett, I don't want to just take the title from you. I want to beat you senselessly and make you bleed like a pig, so the rematch at Bound for Glory is going to be a Last Man Standing match," said Raven. Jarrett seemed irate about the announcement, but tried to assure himself that all would be well. Raven then continued on, saying that he has waited since September 15th to have Jarrett, Harris and Storm right where he wants them. "I'm not letting this chance pass me by," said Raven before sliding into the ring. He took down Jarrett before catching Harris and Storm with strikes. Raven was able to hold his own for a bit until Jarrett struck him behind his knee. America's Most Wanted stomped away on Raven as Jarrett grabbed his signature guitar, asking Harris and Storm to hold Raven up. Before Jarrett could connect with the guitar shot, an unfamiliar theme hit. Soon, one of the most decorated tag teams in professional wrestling stepped out onto the the stage. "It's Team 3D! Brother Devon and Brother Ray are here!" shouted an ecstatic Don West on commentary. The roof nearly came off of the iMPACT! Zone as Ray and Devon ran down to the ring. They took down Jarrett, Harris and Storm with several shots, cleaning house here on Spike TV! Team 3D helped Raven up to his feet as Jarrett and America's Most Wanted backed up the entrance ramp. Team 3D has arrived in TNA!

The first edition of TNA iMPACT! This was actually when TNA didn't completely suck, so don't make it suck Ryan because we know that is all you do. Wink, wink. A great opening contest with AJ Styles and Alex Shelley, displaying the X Division with Styles getting the rightful victory. A nice notion with the promo for Abyss to introduce his monsterous self to the new audience. Him getting the victory over Sonny Siaki of course surprises no one. The Monster's Ball was actually one of the first TNA matches I watched and having it as a number one contenders match is rightful. The Naturals may be ready, but they got some tough competition. Speaking of that competition, Team Canada beating 3LK with D'Amore screwing them was solid and Kip James trying to save his best friend BG causing some chaos could lead (hopefully) to the JAMES GANG! OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW? Next up, a great contest between Rhino and Jeff Hardy for the first episode of iMPACT, with Rhino getting the victory. Abyss and Sabu making apperances to build the Monster's Ball was nice to see and I am thinking Hardy or Rhino is going to walk out the winner as long as Double J stays the champion, honestly. Glad to see you kept with the Team 3D debut, having them even things up and targeting America's Most Wanted. Also like how we're going to have a Last Man Standing match at Bound For Glory between Raven and Jeff Jarrett. A good first episode of TNA, glad to see some things stay the course in the process.

That opening video package better have featured Elix Skipper's cage walk. Putting Jeff Hardy and Rhino on the first iMPACT! is smart as their names carry some star power. Brilliant call to open the first show with an X-Division match. Showcase what made the company so innovative at the time. AJ Styles and Alex Shelley are literally two of my favorites ever so awesome choice. An Abyss extended squash was smart as Abyss was always a good monster to have around. Monster's Ball for the number one contendership is wise. I always liked the pairing of The Naturals with Shane Douglas, but man do I hate 3Live Kru. Samoa Joe in 2005 was amazing. His "I am pro wrestling" promo was great. Nice win for Team Canada, always a fan of theirs. Ugh, everything about 3Live Kru is something I hate. Even Kip James. MONTY BROWN FOR WORLD CHAMPION! Man he could cut a promo but he got crapped on by the arrival of Sting and Christian. Speaking of, I really hope you at least bring in Christian. Surprised you went with Rhino over Jeff, but glad as its different and really helps solidify the "Man Beast". Last Man Standing should be good and again, Jeff Jarrett and Raven carry some level of star power in their names. Team 3D debuting was the right move, I remember that on the first iMAPCT! and I believe Kevin Nash came out too. I'm glad you left that you actually. Overall, a really good first show that I had much more fun reading that I thought I would. I miss TNA here and hope to see this continue.

TNA iMPACT!: Thursday 1st October 2005...The start of TNA and Spike TV's relationship. Also a good time to start with, with the controversy that went down in Canada over the course of the previous weeks. AJ Styles defeating Alex Shelley made for a solid opening contest, specialising in showcasing the TNA X-Division Championship division, and the right man got the victory. Styles and Christopher Daniels' feud was one of the shining moments in TNA's history, so this should build up to a future encounter come Bound For Glory. Where did Samoa Joe go? I like the slow build for the revision of video footage contributing to Jeff Jarrett winning the NWA Heavyweight Championship from Raven, as it builds up anticipation further. Abyss defeating Sonny Siaki made sense in a filler bout, I was never really fond of Siaki as a performer. He was acceptable on the microphone at best. James Mitchell was a magnificent mouthpiece for Abyss, and the Monster's Ball match should be a decent one, as it was from my recollection. Shane Douglas and the Naturals' talk time was fine, and I am looking forward to them chasing the NWA World Tag Team Championships. Lots of emphasis on the fact that this iMPACT! is a special one, the first of its kind on Spike TV - and that's a big deal considering that WWE Monday Night RAW would move to the USA Network the following Monday night. Team Canada with a win against the 3Live Kru made sense, though this is really nothing new. I hope to see you add some new tag teams from the independent circuit or from within the roster in order to mix things up in future weeks or months. The 3LK and Kip James starting their downfall should also open up a space within the roster, for sure. Love the promo for Monty Brown, too, nice touch there. Rhino with a win against Jeff Hardy was fine, a solid match here. I hope Hardy ends up sticking around next year. Lots of chaos to follow, making this important as the "main event" of the in-ring portion of TNA iMPACT! in its premiere. I do hope that following Bound For Glory that you mix things up with the "garbage wrestling" division. I liked the final segment with America's Most Wanted heel turn and the inclusion of Team 3D to begin building Brother Ray and Brother Devon as Raven's comrades in this ECW almuni vs TNA homeground talent binary opposition. A lot of promising things given from this show, and I'm hoping this has a long stand on the board as you are capable of awesome things.

| TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV October 8th, 2005 The iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, FL
Following the intro, Mike Tennay and Don West welcomed everyone to the second edition of TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV. At the conclusion of last week's premier episode. the official announcement was made regarding the controversy surrounding the NWA World Heavyweight Championship picture. At Bound for Glory, Jeff Jarrett will put the title up for grabs against Raven in a Last Man Standing match! And in a shocking turn of events, we witnessed the debut of one of the most decorated tag teams in professional wrestling history, Team 3D! Tonight, we will hear from Jeff Jarrett and America's Most Wanted about the war that has begun with Raven, Brother Ray and Brother Devon. Plus, tag team action as the "Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy teams up with Sabu to take on the "War Machine" Rhino and the "Monster" Abyss! First, however, it is the Spike TV debut of one of the most impressive athletes to grace the squared circle in recent memory, the "Samoan Submission Machine," Samoa Joe!
SAMOA JOE DEF. SHARK BOY "Joe's gonna kill you!" was the chant that rang throughout the match from the fans in the iMPACT! Zone. Shark Boy started off the match by hitting Samoa Joe with a few chops and strikes, but they were all delivered with no effect at all. Joe grabbed Shark Boy's head, delivering repeated head butts. Shark Boy backed into a corner as Joe charged into a him. Joe would then scrape his boot against the face of Shark Boy a few times before running full force into him with a kick. At around that point, the X-Division Champion AJ Styles stepped out onto one of the two stages, getting a closer look at one of the two men who he will defend his title against at Bound for Glory in Ultimate-X. Joe punished Shark Boy a bit longer, Christoper Daniels soon appearing on the other stage. Joe would then lift Shark Boy into position for the Muscle Buster, walking around with him as he glared at both the "Phenomenal One" and the "Fallen Angel." Joe delivered the Muscle Buster before locking in the Coquina Clutch, the official calling for the bell.
A few seconds after the bell sounded, Samoa Joe released the Coquina Clutch as he stood to his feet, giving a brood stare to the camera. Joe looked at both AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, motioning for the X-Division Championship that all three men will be battling for at Bound for Glory in an Ultimate-X match. "I'm not afraid of you, Joe. Or you, AJ!" said Daniels before walking down the entrance ramp.
Backstage, the "Franchise " Shane Douglas was standing by with the 3Live Kru as BG James will be taking on the "Alpha Male" Monty Brown in just a few moments. "What the 'Franchise' wants to know is what is going on between the 3Live Kru and Kip James?" asked Douglas. Konnan said that there is nothing going on among them between as far as he's concerned, Kip James is nothing to them. "I know that you and Kip used to be tight, but you roll with the 3Live Kru now and we got your back," said Konnon to BG James. BG said that he knows they will always have his back, but he thinks that he can take on Monty Brown on his own tonight.
Returning to TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV, a video package was shown to promote the television debut of Austin Aries next week. Aries' voice could be heard as he declared himself "professional wrestling's secret weapon." "TNA and Spike TV have no idea what they have on their hands. Next week, I show the world why Austin Aries is the face of the next generation of pro wrestling." "A Double" makes his television debut next week on iMPACT!
MONTY BROWN DEF. BG JAMES The Spike TV debut of the "Alpha Male" Monty Brown, who has sent shock waves throughout the world of professional wrestling ever since arriving in TNA. BG James was able to stand toe-to-toe with Brown, giving him a competitive fight. After Brown delivered a huge Clothesline, BG looked to be in a daze. He staggered to his feet, only to be hit with the Pounce, giving him the victory
Monty Brown stood to his feet as the bell sounded, scoring a victory for himself in his debut on Spike TV. As the official tended to BG James, Brown pushed him out of the way as he decided that he was not done yet. He picked BG up off of the canvas, planting him with a huge Powerbomb. Brown delivered another one before Konnan and Ron "The Truth" Killings hit the ring. Brown slid out and made his way up the entrance ramp as BG's 3Live Kru stable mates tended to him. Kip James then came running down the entrance ramp, trying to check on BG. Konnan delivered a shove to Kip as the two got into a war of words, Killings trying to calm them down as more officials came to BG James' aid.
A graphic was shown for tonight's appearances from America's Most Wanted and the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett. How will the three react to the events at the conclusion of last week's episode?
Following the commercial break, Konnan and Ron "The Truth" Killing were shown discussing what had just transpired. Killings tried to calm Konnan down, telling him not to get too heated over Kip James sticking his nose in their business. "Kip ain't the problem right now, it's Monty Brown. Monty Brown can't just try to take out one of our own without paying the price. 'Alpha Male,' you want to fight someone? How about you fight me at Bound for Glory?" said Killings to the camera, laying out the challenge to Monty Brown for Bound for Glory.
PETEY WILLIAM W/ SCOTT D'AMORE DEF. CHRIS SABIN & MATT BENTLEY W/ TRACI Prior to the opening bell, it was revealed on commentary that at Bound for Glory, there will be a ten-man open invitational X-Division Gauntlet. Petey Williams, Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley will all be participating, having the opportunity to gain momentum here tonight. As Sabin was looking to deliver the Cradle Shock, Bentley was able to slide off of his shoulders, going for a Superkick. Sabin, however, caught Bentley's foot and placed him back in Cradle Shock position, this time hitting him successfully. Sabin nearly had the victory, but Williams delivered a kick to his back to break up the pin attempt. Williams then brought Sabin up off of the canvas, planting him onto his head with the Canadian Destroyer to pick up the victory.
A mixed response emerged from those in the iMPACT! Zone as Scott D'Amore joined Petey Williams in the ring, raising his arm in victory. Williams continued his celebration as he was put over by the announce team, Don West saying that Williams has be considered the favorite right now to win the X-Division Gauntlet at Bound for Glory and get on track to another X-Division Championship reign.
We returned to iMPACT! on Spike TV with a video package that recapped the events at the conclusion of last week's episode. New NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett, along with America's Most Wanted, addressed the controversial events in Canada last month that resulted in Jarrett regaining the title. The former champion, Raven, would make an appearance, announcing that he will receive a rematch against Jarrett at Bound for Glory in a Last Man Standing match. Just when it looked like Jarrett, Chris Harris and James Storm were going to get the upper hand over Raven once again, Team 3D made their Total Nonstop Action Wrestling debut, taking out Jarrett and AMW.
Cutting back to the iMPACT! Zone, the entrance music of Jeff Jarrett hit to a massive amount of boos. The "King of the Mountain" made his way down to the ring along with America's Most Wanted, all in a less-than pleasant mood Jarrett took a microphone, saying that last week was supposed to be the biggest night in the history of the company. "Not only did TNA debut on Spike TV, but once again, the 'King of the Mountain' was finally right back where he belongs at the very top as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Raven, however, decided to stick his nose in our business, announcing a Last Man Standing match at Bound for Glory. Just when I thought that things couldn't get any worse, a couple of has-beens by the name of Team 3D decided to get involved," said Jarrett. Chris Harris took the microphone, saying that Team 3D need to realize something. "Sure, they are one of the most decorated tag teams in the history of professional wrestling. Brother Ray and Brother Devon have been Tag Team Champions in every organization that they have been apart of, so it only makes since that they assumed that they can do the same in TNA. Here's what they don't understand, though. TNA is our yard. Nobody can just come in and take what we have busted our asses to help build from the ground up. We will gladly make sure that TNA is the first company that the two of you do NOT hold Tag Team gold in," said Harris. James Storm took his turn to speak, saying that he may have been a little buzzed when he was out here last week. "I heard the music and I looked at the stage. I asked myself, 'Who in the hell do these two billy goats think they are coming into our company and trying to take over?' Team 3D, you want to make a name for y'all selves in TNA? Here's your chance. October 23rd, live on Pay-Per-View, it's Bound for Glory. Also known as the night where the tag team dream match will take place. Team 3D versus America's Most Wanted!" said Storm as the iMPACT! Zone came unglued for the announcement. "Can you believe it? America's Most Wanted and Team 3D will step into the ring at Bound for Glory!" said Don West on commentary. Jeff Jarrett took the microphone back, saying that Bound for Glory is going to be a rough night for Raven and Team 3D. "This is our house. Team 3D, you two jokes are going to find out first hand what tag team wrestling in this day and age is all about. As for you, Raven, I will make sure that at Bound for Glory, you wrestle the final match of your career. I will make sure that at Bound for Glory, you bleed like you have never bled before. I will make sure that at Bound for Glory, the 'King of the Mountain' steps on your hands as you hold onto whatever is left of your dreams, watching you fall all the way down as you are unable to respond to a ten count. The NWA World Heavyweight Championship is staying right where it belongs and there isn't a thing that you can do about it, Raven." Jarrett threw the microphone onto the canvas as he raised the NWA World Heavyweight Championship high in the air, Chris Harris and James Storm standing by his side as the three of them have put Raven and Team 3D on notice for Bound for Glory.
A graphic was shown for the Tag Team bout pitting Jeff Hardy and Sabu against Rhino and Abyss. The four Monster's Ball participants collide, next on Spike TV!
Following the commercial break, a graphic was shown to announce that next week, Raven and Team 3D will be present in the iMPACT! Zone. What will the three of them have to say in response to what we just heard from America's Most Wanted and the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett?
RHINO & ABYSS W/ JAMES MITCHELL DEF. JEFF HARDY & SABU A huge Tag Team match to close out tonight's edition of TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV. After Jeff Hardy and Sabu were able to Clothesline Abyss over the top rope. Hardy launched himself over the top rope and onto the 'Monster.' Back in the ring, Sabu stepped out onto the ring apron as he was looking to connect onto Rhino with a Springboard DDT. However, Rhino was able to turn the tables by catching him in mid-air with a Gore! "Sabu is broken in half!" shouted Don West as the 'War Machine' got the cover to pick up the victory.
Rhino stood to his feet as the bell sounded, raising his arms in victory as he took all of the credit for the win. 'The Monster' Abyss didn't take too kindly to Rhino's gloating getting in his face. Rhino shoved Abyss, which prompted the 'Monster' to grab him by his throat. Rhino, however, was able to escape the Chokeslam attempt, drilling his tag team partner with a Gore! Jeff Hardy then came running into the ring with a steel chair, Rhino dodging the shot and hitting him with another Gore! Rhino stood tall over all three of his Monster's Ball opponents, having just Gored all of them with monstrous force. Will the 'War Machine' be the one to come out on top in the Monster's Ball at Bound for Glory and earn himself an NWA World Heavyweight Championship match? | © TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING 2005

This was an awesome time period in the TNA. I watched TNA from its inception and use to purchase the weekly pay-per-view. Around 2008 is where I started losing interest in it. But 2005 especially around the time when they first got the Spike TV deal and signed Team 3D was awesome. I love how you have Raven vs. Jeff Jarrett in Bound for Glory Main Event skewing away from the original Jarrett vs. Kevin Nash main event. I'll be interested in continuing to read on.

Gonna just give quick thoughts as I read.
10/1 iMPACT - Sad you didn't keep Roddy Strong vs. AJ as the first iMPACT match. I liked their stuff but Shelley in 2005 is a more than suitable replacement and it sounds like they had a damn good match. Siaki vs. Abyss is par for the course, I'm interested to see if he actually gets anywhere in this diary. Loved Abyss in 2005. Team Canada vs. 3LK...now you're reminding me why I don't often revisit this era of TNA! For all the good there was groups like that but I'm not too bothered by the match. Monty Brown~! Push that guy. Dude won 400 #1 contender matches and never actually got a title shot. Rhino over Hardy, good. Big cluster post-match to set up Monster's Ball at BFG, again good stuff. Ending segment was very well written and it's a much better alternative to how that show actually ended. Please keep Kevin Nash away.
Four matches for BFG. Main event is fine, Monster's Ball was good IRL so it'll be good here. That said, I hate the idea of Joe/Styles/Daniels in Ultimate X at Bound For Glory. It's the second match in the series and I don't think you should introduce the gimmick this early because, in theory, it puts Joe down two matches in the series. There's no plausible way for him to win and I think he should win the second match. If it were a straight up three way, you could work the finish where Joe plays off of miscommunication with Daniels and Styles and takes the belt and goes on to slaughter the division while Daniels and AJ fight to get to Joe. Tag Title match sounds good.
10/8 iMPACT - Joe kills Shark Boy, good. Still don't like the Ultimate X stipulation for BFG. I like that Daniels and AJ came out to observe the match, though. 3LK promo. God I hated that group. Monty over BJ, which is fine. I hope dude actually picks up some momentum in this diary. BFG seems to already have a crowded top three matches so I'm not sure if he'll be able to be slotted into a high profile match. Oh God, he's gonna face R-Truth. Guh, that 2005 undercard. X-Division match is fine and I like the X-Division Invitational at BFG but I will say that I wish AJ, Joe and Daniels were in it and it was for the title. There's a lot of interesting booking possibilities if that were the case. AMW/Team 3D at BFG...eh, it works. It's a huge match and realistically that's what the first BFG needs. Loved the Monster's Ball skirmish main event. Also, I enjoy that the winner gets a World Championship match. GIVE IT TO RHINO....uh, I mean I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out.
My only real gripe so far is the stipulation for Joe/Styles/Daniels II because it came out of nowhere, doesn't really add to the match and doesn't make sense at this point. Everything else is right on the money. Good work.

Things have got off to a nice litte start here. Impacts have been fine. Team 3D segment to end first impact would have been hot. Good call not going with Nash.
Bound for Glory card is coming along nicely. Same as above not sure if ultimate X is needed for the 3 way but it will be ace.
Very early days still but look forward to see where the 2 of you take it from here.

| TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV October 15th, 2005 The iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, FL
After the opening video package plays, the commentary duo of Mike Tenay and Don West welcome the fans to episode three of TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV. Business picked up last week as NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett and America's Most Wanted put Team 3D and Raven on notice before heading into their big matches at Bound for Glory. Tonight, we will hear a response from Raven and Team 3D which is sure to be explosive. Also last week, things continued to be brutal between the competitors of Bound For Glory's Monster's Ball and tonight two of those men step into the ring when Sabu takes on “The Monster” Abyss! Things will kick off however, with the “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels.
CHRISTOPHER DANIELS DEF. SONJAY DUTT Two weeks ago on the debut edition of TNA iMPACT, the X Division Champion AJ Styles picked up a win and last week the “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe earned one. It was now time to see if the “Fallen Angel” could also pick up steam going into the huge Ultimate X match at Bound for Glory. Sonjay Dutt was not about to be a stepping stone though, as he came out of the gate firing with some of his fast paced offense. He hits a big front flip to the outside as Mike Tenay informs us that Sonjay will indeed be a part of the X Division Gauntlet at Bound for Glory. “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles is shown watching the match in the back with the X Division Title resting on his shoulder. Christopher Daniels fights back and scores the pinfall following the Angel's Wings.
The bell sounds and Christopher Daniels gets to his feet and raises his arms out. He motions around his waist and it's clear that he wants his X Division Championship back. The cameras cut to one of the stages as Samoa Joe is watching intently. When he sees Daniels motion for the belt, he gives a sly smirk and walks off.
A recap video is shown of the first episode of TNA iMPACT where Team 3D made their surprising debut. The announcement was made last week that a Dream Tag Team match between Team 3D and America's Most Wanted will take place in less than two weeks at Bound for Glory!
As TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV returns, we were shown a rather surprising vignette. It began with several words flashing briefly on the screen. "Mistreated.......Misunderstood.......Mishandled......the Hottest Star in Professional Wrestling is coming to Bound for Glory." Mike Tenay and Don West are puzzled along with the fans and they speculate on who this could be as we head into the next contest.
TEAM CANADA W/ SCOTT D'AMORE DEF. 3LIVE KRU W/ KONAN Much like Christopher Daniels earlier, Team Canada came into this match looking for a win before they face the Naturals for the NWA World Tag Team Titles at Bound for Glory. This is also a rematch from the first episode of iMPACT as 3Live Kru looks to avenge that prior loss. Things were going well for them too until Ron Killings and BG James got into a bit of an argument. While 3LiveKru has had their issues lately, these two have been the peacekeepers. Konan tries to intervene but this allows Eric Young to knock Killings out of the ring and for Bobby Roode to level James with the Northern Lariat and win.
Team Canada exits up one stage while 3Live Kru continue to argue in the ring. Konan and Ron Killings seem to be on one side with BG James on the other. This causes Kip James to run out and stand by his former tag team partner. They get into a bit of a shoving match as things continue to boil over between 3Live Kru.
“The Franchise” Shane Douglas catches up with Monty Brown, who is laughing while watching from the back. He asks “The Alpha Male” for his thoughts on the tension between 3Live Kru. Brown still has a big smile on his face as he says that it's funny to him. “At Bound for Glory, Ron Killings is going to step into the Serengeti and he needs to be at his best. Looking at this, he's not at his best. He would best be served to have his little boyfriends by his side. At Bound for Glory, they'll need to hold him while he cries after he feels the Pounce...PERIOD.”
Following the commercial break, Mike Tenay and Don West discuss the X Division and promote both the X Division Championship match and the Gauntlet match. They want the viewers at home who are new to TNA to see what the X Division is all about, so we are taken to a highlight reel focusing on the Unbreakable Three Way between AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels.
AUSTIN ARIES DEF. RODERICK STRONG Last week we saw a promo telling us that Pro Wrestling's “secret weapon”, Austin Aries would be making his debut tonight. He showed himself to be a brash young man, full of confidence. Not many people know this but these two are actually teammates on the indies and that chemistry allowed for the best match in the short history of iMPACT. Tenay announces that both of these men will be a part of the Bound for Glory Gauntlet match. A very exciting back and forth match came to an end when Aries hit a Brainbuster followed by a 450 splash.
The iMPACT Zone applauds the effort of that great contest as Austin Aries celebrates. He has quickly put the TNA audience and the locker room on notice that he could be a force to be reckoned with.
A graphic is shown for the upcoming main event, pitting Sabu against Abyss!
Returning to iMPACT, Shane Douglas is standing by with Jeff Hardy. He asks for his thoughts on the upcoming Monster's Ball Number One Contender's match at Bound for Glory. Jeff says that he's had some rough spots lately like losing to Bobby Roode at Unbreakable, but there is nothing that he wants more than the NWA World Heavyweight Title and if he has to go through a war with three of the craziest bastards in the world, then so be it.
SABU DEF. ABYSS W/ JAMES MITCHELL VIA DISQUALIFICATION Jeff Hardy absolutely nailed it when he said that his opponents for the Monster's Ball match are crazy bastards. Sabu and Abyss are definitely known for their insane styles, but they had to keep them subdued for this contest as it wasn't no disqualification. Because of these limitations, this wasn't either guys best match. Sabu seemed to be near victory as he had Abyss down and did his signature point to the sky until Rhino ran out the nailed him with the Gore!
Rhino wasn't just targeting Sabu though, as he charges at Abyss once he gets to his feet. Abyss catches him with a Black Hole Slam though and menacingly poses in the ring. That is cut short by a vicious chair shot to the back at the hands of Jeff Hardy. The crowd roars as Hardy stands over his fallen opponents.
Raven is shown walking in the back as he will address the iMPACT Zone next!
Cutting back to the iMPACT! Zone, the theme music of the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Raven hits to the delight of the fans. He gets in the ring and then the music of Team 3D hits to a massive ovation. All three men stand in the ring with microphones and Brother Ray speaks first. “Two weeks ago my brother and I made our debuts in the iMPACT! Zone and we didn't exactly get the chance to formally introduce ourselves. We are the most decorated tag team in the history of professional wrestling and for the past two weeks people have been asking us why we've come to TNA.” Ray explains that they're always out to prove they're the best and the best tag team in wrestling is right here in TNA. The crowd erupts for this statement as Ray hands the microphone to Brother Devon. “Now the other thing that people have been asking us, is why we decided to get involved with Raven's business with Jeff Jarrett and America's Most Wanted. We go way back with Raven to our days in ECW and we weren't just going to sit back while he gets jumped.” Devon goes on to state that they've seen what America's Most Wanted is capable of and they want nothing more than to face and beat them at Bound for Glory. Raven takes over now speaking about how he was unfairly screwed out of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in Canada. “Jeff, it's even being called Controversy in Canada. You know that you're walking about with my belt.” He is cut off by the theme of the “King of the Mountain” himself, Jeff Jarrett, flanked by AMW. Jarrett speaks, “Raven, I don't know why you can't seem to understand this. You weren't screwed out of anything. The only controversy was you being champion in the first place. This belt is absolutely mine and I'll prove it at Bound for Glory.” Raven doesn't want to wait for Bound for Glory and lays down the gauntlet, issuing a challenge for next week. Himself and Team 3D against Jarrett and AMW. The crowd pops as the heels discuss this and accept. They start to walk towards the ring and the crowd gets even louder in anticipation, but they stop and draw boos. Raven and Team 3D will have none of this and they exit the ring and head up the ramp. Once they meet Jarrett and AMW, a huge brawl ensues! The iMPACT! Zone is on their feet as the action spills all over the arena. TNA iMPACT! goes off the air with the brawl still going on.

Alright, 10/15 iMPACT! Thoughts as I reads.
Daniels over Dutt, makes sense because you're a week out from BFG and you don't want him to drop a fall going into the match since he's a heel and you'd want to keep him strong. Dude debuting at BFG...could be Matt Hardy or Christian depending on how you want to fudge the timeline. Interested to find out who it is. Glad to see 3LK drop the fall, I hate that group. Team Canada vs. The Naturals is a good match on paper, par for the course for 2005 TNA. Good Monty Brown promo, still don't like that he's kind of being wasted on Ron Killings but with that said, it's not like there's much else you can do with him right now. Aries vs. Strong in a rematch from Unbreakable, cool. Hopefully you have something good planned for them, I hate the way both those guys got treated in TNA in that first run. Jeff Hardy gets a promo...yay. He wants to win Monster's Ball...well I want a cookie. KILL HIM RHINO. Good cluster with all the Monster's Ball guys. Sets the match up as being four crazy dudes in a no DQ match. Good promo leading to a show-ending brawl. Perfectly fine episode of iMPACT, next week's episode is gonna need to be a big one since it's the go-home for Bound for Glory. I'm interested to see what you bring to that particular episode and of course, the Pay-Per-View itself.
