A shop near me called E.M. Models has this paint called Tamiya Color. One of the colours is called "clear", and it's sealer. It comes in the same style jar as the paints but it's obviously not paint. It's a bit glossy but it looks good anyway, and takes a couple of hours to dry properly, but it's worth it. Costs £1 usually.
