I didn't notice the proportion until you pointed it out. That being said, I still think Goldust is an excellent figure.

Still not as bad as any Deluxe Aggression Rey Mysterio, both in size, scale and body type.
Would it have been cool for Goldust to get his own body type? Sure. Will I lose sleep over it? Nope. Am I glad the budget went to make Harper and Rowan 2 of the best figures released this year? You bet your ass.

On there own they are fine but standing next to each other you can really see it. That Punk head does look a bit large too.

Nothing looks as bad as deluxe aggression here. Jakks had no problem painting shirts on bare skin, and I much prefer that this has sculpted wrinkles, this torso and sleeves being the elite 1 MVP mold.
Mattel has said before that these are idealized versions of the wrestlers and we all know the scale is approximate, not perfect. Nobody complains about the new John Cena torso, but he hasn't been that cut in real-life in a long time. That toy puts the Hulk to shame.

Mattel is starting to get Jakks fever!!! that's a stretch, you guys like complain over the smallest details This is kinda huge IMO. These figures are really, really expensive. So I'd prefer if they got it right - like they normally do.

I also forgot to mention, in defense of slightly larger heads, that even on an incrimentally small level like this that it increases the amount of visible detail.
Jakks catches so much flak for such a small portion of the overall ruthless run with the heads doing double duty on ruthless and deluxe figures. There are plenty of real criticisms to make on Jakks and that's not one for me.

Goldust is one guy that I think would have greatly benefited from a new mold.

I honestly think they both look great though Punk's head could be considered on the large side. Still very good though

I've seen them for $21-23 online and $18-20 retail, they're not really "expensive" from where i am and what website you're looking at unless you're the UK

Neither is too big of a problem to keep me from getting them.

That's one hell of a price spike! Jakks DA only maxed out at $12.99 each. It isn't just Mattel. Prices for toys have doubles everywhere!

Blame the USA for the price spike due the million and million dollars of debt JAKKs can get away with it cause they don't put in as much accessories, any scale, and less than 7-5 wrestlers (maxing out at 4) yeah you're paying more, but it's worth it because of numerous things: Better Articulation (not as good as the S.H Figuarts and Monsterarts, but very good for westernized toys) Better Accessories (nothing ridiculous or over blown canon shooters and those dreaded denting face chairs) Scale (Rey Mysterio not the same height as Big Show or Undertaker) -

However with true scale I guess the cost goes to specific and unique body molds. I guess I was a spoiled 90's kid. WWF BCA's were $5, ECW figures were $5, and WCW were $6.99. Now, you can't go down the toy isle without dropping $20 on one figure.

All of mattels Goldust heads are on the small side this isn't the only one. Compare his older figures to other figures heads.

I just wanted to chime back in on this cause my Goldust showed up today. His torso is a fair bit thicker than Punk/Bryan. I don't have my MVP anymore so I'm not sure if it's the same torso as his old figure but I think it looks good.
