Considering how many WWE figs they pump out it's actually not that bad......I mean they produce TONS of these figs!

If the excuse is kids will play with them and bang them around or they produce so many than why are the Rsc exclusives having the same problems? And why wasn't this a problem when they first started? The trend of poor quality control has started to decline within the last two years and over the that time the pricing has gone up. This is just not acceptable anymore.

I've been collecting since day one and I always thought Mattel's number one thing was a quality control. Everything was always perfect. Now prices have gone up incredibly and the quality control has gone down immensely
It would be nice if the Mattel design team would chime in on this

My basic Cena (I know, I know.) has a bald spot. My BOPPV Elite CM Punk has a red splotch on his boot.

The only quality control problem I ever had was my B7 Michelle McCool's calf was on backwards. I have had a few Hot Wheels cars that had paint smears on them. I'm talking about you Bentley Continental GT

Absolutely. But everything slowly went downhill from the line. Not one elite ever came with rubber at first. Hell, in elite 4 big shows singlet, it was cloth. Now, we pray to get cloth, for even an over shirt is rubber. Some paint apps aren't the best. But since we keep buying them, the prices are bound to increase

It's become extremely frustrating honestly. I think the Flashbacks are the worst. You think you get lucky and find one and then the paint app is smeared all over the place and you have to pass on it. This was a pretty big problem with Billy Gunn from what I was seeing. I don't remember how far back the problem goes. I remember being FURIOUS when I got my Elite 8 Edge though. I ordered it from Mattel and his pants were smeared all over on both sides. I never bought another one to replace it either. It becomes immediate donation crap at that point. It's a more consistent problem now though, as I have to look at multiple figures in any wave to get a good one. The beards and eyebrows are usually a disaster and I've noticed painted boots can be a problem too, I'm looking at you HBK.
Ordering online is a blind gamble, looking over your figure at retail as best as possible is still a gamble, especially when you can't see the back of the figure. I found about 5 tshirt Macho Man figures not that long ago and only one of them was decent, and the design on the shirt still wasn't perfect. I bought it anyway and thankfully I did because I've never seen it again.
This to me is Mattel's biggest problem and has been for some time. I don't like people defending the price point either just because they aren't over $50 or a Hot Toys figure. $20 for a toy is a lot of money when you have hundreds of them. So Mattel needs to get it right and it should be their obligation to their customers to get it right.

The errors have been sort of consistent over the years, from tattoos and tight designs being out of place to misaligned eyes and eyebrows and facial hair and misassembled limbs, in my experience. From mid 2010 to the present, I've always felt like I have to inspect multiples to get the most correct one.
My most recent find was my B38 Y2J, even though he looked like the better one from the front, it looks like he had black tire tracks running all the way across his back(probably from all the black accents on the tights). I forgive that though because that's just extra paint, what makes me mental is buying a figure online and it comes to you all goofed up in a way that you'd have never bought in person, like my WM30 Hitman from tru.com, the figure was fine, but he was missing a gold plate on the belt(and it didn't just pop out in the package).

The only issues I ever had were fused hips on two different B2 Kozlov figures and the DM Macho Man. Orher than those 3 figures I've not had any QC issues.

Over the last two years I have purchased every single elite. In EVERY series released in that time I had to by pass serveral because of paint issues. I also had several figures with arms popped out of socket, and belts missing some plates.

Yes, if you pick up the figures, you will realize the plastic actually change from Elite 1 to now. The plastic from the figures are actually getting worse in quality. Maybe someone from Mattel can explain this. I am sure they will tell us it is the cost of material being the reason though.

I have to honestly vote no as the only problems I ever have with Mattels is their stiff ass legs that never bend....and that's been a problem since the beginning.

my biggest issue was with foot/ankle joints being loose, especially early Cena elites. but they did fix that
with the amount of figures they are pumping out of those factories, it surprises me we dont have MORE issues.
i actually wouldn't be so mad if other things weren't being cut out to "save money"....like E28 Cena not coming with a shirt. cloth or not, that's inexcusable. the Elite line is supposed to be this "premium; highly detailed authentic ring attire" figure. but more and more we are getting LESS and less with these things, and the costs are going through the roof. i just wish something could be done.

E28 Cena with no shirt is the least of my problems i would've been more disappointed if Bray Wyatt came with no shirt
