Andre the Giant was often touted as being impervious to the maneuver known as the "scoop" or "body" slam, but this while often true, wasn't always the case.
There is an elite group of wrestlers who bear the honorable distinction, of being the only men to ever slam the greatest giant that ever lived.
These men committed what some could describe as Wrestling sacrilege. So in that spirit I named this thread "The Andre Slam Offenders List.
So far, this video is the only compilation of multiple Andre Slams.
Does anyone have any footage or names to add?

Nice! I swear I saw a match where Roddy Piper and Bob Orton did the double body slam. Unless I dreamt it lol

Holy shit.
I knew warrior did it but my god that is awesome to see.
You can tell between 84-86 Andres mobility went down a lot.
He was going up with ease until then. Still that is damn impressive.
The first one is the best one. Inoki and one of the other guys (forget the name) almost dropped him right on his head. Andre got lucky there.
I'm surprised I've never seen the Shea Stadium slam.

I recall Killer Kowalski being in there somewhere; but couldn't tell you when or where; my Dad told me when I was kid...oh well.
Great video though Phil, it was interesting to see how Andre took the slam as the years went on...

I remember discussing this with someone before. Didn't it turn out that 9 people have scooped him?

Well that sure was a lot of people who've done it. Pretty sweet to see!

wow that was one of the best video compilations I've ever seen, thanks for researching/sharing that!
I never realized just how many times Hogan has slammed Andre in their careers! That just goes to show you how well WMIII was marketed because with kayfabe in play and no internet, it was genuinely perceived as a monumental feat to accomplish in my 9 year old head.

I wouldn't doubt that any wrestling fan that wasn't born yet or hadn't traveled to see other territories had no idea this had happened before. I'm seem the Shea Stadium show before and even I had no idea about that. It must have slipped my mind with how monumental the WMIII slam is. Its amazing how easily Andre goes up for all of the slams prior to ManiaIII. I've never seen Andre move like that ever. Such an awe inspiring video. Thanks you Phil.

Bill Eadie (Masked Superstar) has also slammed Andre. He at least claims to have, and I don't think he is lying about it. He is often regarded as the 1st to do it, but it would have been in 76 or 77. He was possibly the 1st in the U.S. to do it if the Vachon slam was in Canada.
I knew that Race, Hogan, Kamala, and Warrior had slammed Andre. The Hansen and Inoki slams sound familiar also. This just shows how much easier it was to protect guys and their image back then as most people will always think WM3 was the 1st.

Never knew that many could claim they slammed the Giant. Very impressive find.

Hogans last few and Warriors were far more impressive than the rest because Andre gained a lot of weight and lost most of his mobility at that point.....I think Hogan tore one of his biceps lifting him during WM 3.

Wow, my childhood belief that Hogan was the first to accomplish this has been shattered.
What has been seen - cannot be unseen.
Thanks for sharing, great piece of wrestling history!

Thanks for sharing, great piece of wrestling history! that's okay,to make up for it Hogan still believes he's the first - and only - guy to have ever done it. so The Hulkster still believes in The Hulkster, brother!! what makes it even more ridiculous, though, is Hogan's claim that the one and only time Andre was slammed - which he called "A moment that never happened before, and would never happen again. A once in a lifetime moment" was WrestleMania III. disregarding all the times that it happened before Mania III, since we all know how good the WWF was at ignoring and rewriting history, but how the hell can he just completely ignore the 3 times that I saw him slam Andre AFTER Mania III ( WM IV, a house show, and a steel cage match on Coliseum Video) !!!

I remember reading a PWI mag when I was a teenager, which had a pic of Race holding Andre up, ready to slam him down. I think that I'd also read (it may have been in PWI, too), that Don Leo Jonathan has been credited as the first person to bodyslam Andre. EDIT: Ah ha!! I found the pic that I was thinking about (Race VS. Andre): 2nd edit: Oh, pshh! I just realized that this pic was in the video in the first post. As Brodus would say; "My bad!"

How crazy is it that Kamala got Andre up the easiest (and when Andre was heavier too)?

Before Vince Senior got his hands on Andre, Andre was known for hitting dropkicks and chops from the top rope. I think between Vince reworking Andre' style and his subsequent back injuries Andre's mobility really began to slow down.
Some of those slams were impressive, but in later years Andre became really selective of who could slam him

To be fair, a couple of those were prior to Andre's weight gain.
