This isn't a new show, so feel free to move it to the Discussion board if that's where it belongs - but basically, I noticed that all the archived shows for ROP are offline, and so when I post my new shows over on the fantasy booking board, there's no way for anyone to familiarise themselves with characters or their histories. Thankfully, the photobuckets containing all my old shows are still there, thus giving birth to ROP Classic Cuts.I'm hoping to post one of these every few weeks, putting a couple of classic matches with significance to ROP history - be it famous feuds, great matches, notable moments - just so that there's still some sort of archive there. I'm starting things off with the two matches I produced for Freedomania in 2010 and 2011, because it's the 4th of July, so why not? This week's ROP Classic Cuts features: Freedomania 2010: Intercontinental Title Battle Royal ft. Chris Hero, William Regal, Colt Cabana, Christian, John Morrison and more!Freedomania 2011: International Challenge Match Claudio Castagnoli vs. Sin CaraClick here to view the show!(As I said, apologies if this is on the wrong board, I'll know for next time if I'm wrong. Please leave a reply if you view, guys, would be great to hear what some of the newer guys think, plus some of you that I'm more familiar with too!) EDIT: Remember you can also keep up with modern day Ring of Poison happenings over on the Fantasy Booking board. Click here to read the new show, just uploaded today - Lethal Lottery 2012

It 100% belongs here this stuff is legendary! Man I remember when these first came out I was just a lurker then, I'll drop a reply after I view it again feel free to post as many classics as you like it'll be a great source of inspiration to my new guys! Man both matches were great but the Claudio sin cara match is a true classic I remember that had me on the edge of my seat and it's the match that convinced me to sign for freedomania 2012. The battle royal was a good match but man it's crazy how much you improved by just a year later. It's a shame rop ended when it did too many politics at a time when I felt ROP and FIW were really picking up and were the best shows on the board. I don't know if you've ever seen my show but I base by booking/character of Claudio off the way you booked him in ROP and I used your raven punk feud to help fuel my Jericho/punk/raven feud hope you don't mind

Good stuff, man. I loved Claudio catching Sin Cara sequence. Cool indeed. Look forward to more shows.

As most people know ROP is my favourite fed of all time. I am ecstatic that you are fixing the old episodes. I was bummed when I went to watch your stuff a month ago. Good to see you back Mikey and Thanks for the poster again. Classic matches, I loved them.

No one shares this opinion but I think this stuff really shows it's age. Battle royal was nearly unwatchable to me, likely because of the ring size. Other match was ok at best to me but whatever. Maybe if I saw your actual shows instead of just matches my opinion would be different.

I understand that it wasn't up to the standards of today but Mikey is one of the greatest pic fedders of all time and was a stepping stone for most fedders that are fedding today. I feel like you judging Mikey on his match quality is like comparing blu ray to a vcr. I feel like you didn't take the time he made his shows into consideration. Mikey was one of the people who changed pic fedding for the better. I am not trying to start a fight however I found you saying his matches were unwatchable were like the pot calling the kettle black. Mikey can blame his match quality not being up to par with today's standards due to the era he was pic fedding in. What's your excuse?

I don't know much about this board which is why I was under the impression that the way it is today is how it always was. Now with the understanding that things used to be different I'll try watching it again with that understanding. I just assumed back then was the same except instead of mattels there were Jakks.

No, how it is today is how it's always been. Go check out other Feds from the time period. Only thing that changed was the maker of the figures pic fedding has been cut and dry. I've been on and off this board for 7 years

Sorry if I was hard on you I just love pic fedding and wasn't aware that you weren't aware of the past of pic fedding. Posing in feds has evolved throughout the years, and I feel posing has grown a lot throughout the years and guys like Mikey are the four fathers for the good posing in pic feds. Sorry if I upset you.

Although also by reading the replies I've learned the original shows are gone.

Yeah but I think his last Ppv teeth like gods shoe shine is still up, that is a must see it was such an inspiration to me and I was so devastated after he decided to hang up the boots I took his punk raven feud and threw it into my show with my own twist on It as a tribute to him.

No need to apologise guys, pleased to see such a response! @brickandyozen, I agree with you - the quality of these is subpar compared to what others put out. It'd be easy to hide behind my storylines and whatnot - which was the thing I was most proud of - but yeah, a lot of the stuff from 2004-10 wasn't great in terms of poses and whatnot. I did try and make amends towards the end, which I think kind of shows with the Claudio/Cara match, and definitely in Claudio/Cara II, which will be on the next Classic Cuts show. Again, it's not much of an excuse, but I was 12 years old when I started ROP, and finished it shortly after my 19th birthday (as far as a pic fed goes anyway) so most of these were made on really miniscule resources, which I hope goes someway to explaining it.
As far as re-upping the full shows, I'm not sure if I have the time to go and move them all onto a new server; though if anyone knows how to get a Freewebs site 'unfrozen' that'd be a great help.
If, for anyone who was a fan of ROP way back when, they have any particular matches they'd like to see again, feel free to drop me a reply or a PM, and I can put them on a future episode of this. Gonna check out some of you guys feds over the next couple of weeks as well, see what's what on the boards these days.

I think that's the thing with the older shows, in that a lot of people who ran Feds were 12-14, except maybe FCW and RWA, and it was no surprise that those two Feds were the big two on the board, as they were awesome (especially RWA). Nowadays, the bar has been raised and most Fed owners are 16+, so the quality has improved across the board and people have had to improve their shows in a variety of ways to keep up with the times. Will check these out soon, Mikey, as I don't think I was around 2006-10 when you were in your hay day!

Love the Indy-ness. Hate that you use so many TTL's as they can't bend and every image looks stiff. You also seem to block your own light 100 times. Apart from that, pretty awesome show. Excaliber is a very popular commentator around these parts.
