Shulk confirmed with a trailer in todays JP exclusive Nintendo direct. He has the same artwork as the leak, and the same moveset. Effectively 100% confirming the leak to be true. Someone posted detailed moveset for him on 4chan a few days ago that seems to be true, he said that Dixie, Ridley, Mewtwo and Isabelle were the other characters. So that's certainly worth bearing in mind. Shulk looks better than I imagined. I see myself playing as him quite often.

They announced a 3DS Xenoblade port so it should be worth getting to learn more about him.

They're also releasing Xenoblade on the 3DS, hopefully worldwide. I've been watching the cutscenes on youtube over the past 10 days or so and it looks like a truly great game. Colour me a Shulk fan. And Weddle, I'll be getting every Amiibo they do, fo sho! I'd love to play Xenoblade but it only runs on the New 3DS and I'm not buying that. From the video, you'd be better off just buying the Wii version and playing it on your Wii U. As for the Amiibo, I pre-ordered Pikachu on Amazon. I'll probably buy a few others down the road when they release regular characters I really like such as Toon Link, Captain Toad, Yarn Yoshi, Toad, etc.

I didn't catch that. I may get the updated 3DS anyway. Plus copies of the Wii Xenoblade are pretty damn expensive.

Yes, you need the new 3DS. I'd rather pay the $50-60 for the Wii copy which will look better up scaled on the Wii U. The game looked quite bad running on the 3DS and the framerate as pretty bad as well.

Is the LL the same size or bigger than XL? EDIT: Will this be in US?

Is the LL the same size or bigger than XL? EDIT: Will this be in US? I believe it's the same size as the 3DS XL. It's been announced for the US. It comes in the US and Europe in 2015. I would trade my 3DS XL in towards this if only I didn't have the Pikachu 3DS XL. I just can't part with it.

I didn't see any mention of the price, but I am assuming the new 3DS will take the retail space of the existing 3DS and 3DS XL and will be the same price as the models they are replacing.

I'm not sure what I'll do yet regarding the new 3DS. I'll have to wait a bit and see how I feel when it's released.

Apparently I'm going to have at least three amiibo's since someone bought me Samus and Donkey Kong. I guess this means I will get Diddy too along with Rosalina from the second wave of figures.

And yes, it's really long and it's quite good as well. I can't wait for Xenoblade Chronicles X.

I like the system well enough, but my hands cramp really easy playing it since it's quite small. It would take me forever to complete a JRPG of Xenoblade's size on that system. Whereas I could do it with no problem on a home console.

So 9 of the Amiibo are in the top 20 selling video game products on Amazon. This thing is going to print money for Nintendo. It won't really do anything for me, but what happens if they do Pokemon amiibo? My god, they will be driving trucks full of gold up to Nintendo HQ. I'd at least have to get the original three starters for my childhood's sake.

I'm glad Nintendo are doing it, I've wanted Nintendo figures for years, having Link, Mario, Donkey Kong, Fox, Pikachu (etc) with characters like the Duck Hunt Dog all in the same figure style is so amazing.

Spending that much money on figurines is just crazy to me. I'll get a select few of my favorite characters though. I want characters like Toad, Wario, Waluigi, Rosalina, Dry Bones, and Bowser. I can't wait until they bring out a Mario set that isn't based on the poses from Smash Bros.
