In hindsight, I had a feeling something like this would happen when they moved Money in the Bank to June. That show is well-suited for July because it's got its own legacy behind it now and, even if most of the show is just filler, they can easily mask it with the Money in the Bank matches. Putting a Pay-Per-View in between MITB and Summerslam really exposes WWE's lack of creativity when they don't have any gimmicks to fall back on, or find themselves in the midst of feuds that really need to be blown off at a big show like Summerslam.

I enjoyed the matches even if they were predictable outcomes. I'd say Wyatt's vs Uso's, WWE Championship match and the Divas title match were the top 3 matches of the night. Could've been a better PPV but it could've been worse. That opener though, best tag match in years IMO. *EDIT* anyone know where the RVD was? I'm sure he was supposed to be in the Battle Royal.

Main event was really good, the tag match too. Everything else was pretty bad. Promising up-and-comer Bray Wyatt being buried by a part-timer in a poor match full of botches was a bad move.

I'm betting on Del Rio to win the IC title. Cena wins. Gets destroyed after by Lesnar. Ambrose wins with a roll up. New Tag champs. Wyatt wins obviously. Rusev retreats and gets counted out. Swagger wins. Not sure about the Divas title. I'd like Paige to win so this feud can actually be back and forth for awhile. Naomi wins and Cameron gets released immediately afterwards. I can dream can't I? Sweet Jesus, I couldn't have been more wrong on that one.

Overall I really thought Battleground was garbage. I did enjoy a few of the matches but the main event was such a waste of time. the crowd seemed dead 2/3 of the way through it until Reigns started dominating and they came alive for a bit but then died again as soon as Cena won.
I REALLY hope Summer Slam is better than what I saw last night and that we can move on from the Super Cena Show.

Just watched Battleground, Wyatts vs Usos MOTN hands down. Thought it was a bit flat after that, Battle Royal was fairly exciting and the main event was OK. No Ambrose v Rollins really sucked, i know its going to build to a great match at Summerslam but a lot of people probably ordered just to see that match. If you had insider info you could have made a killing.....Y2J and Usos were both 3/1 and at one point the Miz was 12/1!

Apart from the botches, this was a damn good PPV. I can't say I actually watched the PPV.. I was switching between it and a football forum. From what I did see, it was poor booking with decent matches. The norm these days I suppose. WWE is slowly becoming tedious. Doesn't watch PPV, still complains about it... I sat down with the full intent to watch the PPV. I did try my best.. the point I was making that it did not hold my attention. I suppose I worded the post wrong. No need to be a douche.

I was think about this a few minutes ago, Yeah Battle Ground wasn't an overly great PPV. But I'll excuse it for two reasons....
1) they are saving their good stuff for Summer Slam. Which is to be expected. I want SS to be jam packed.
2) they have been on a tremendous roll lately. WM, ER, PB,& MITB were all off the charts awesome.
Not every time to bat can be a home-run, ya know?

rewatching the PPV.
Just noticed Del Rio was never really eliminated.
You have to go over the top rope....and have both feet touch the ground.
Del Rio got dropkicked by Dolph, and rolled down...to the apron. Where he was then knocked off the apron.
He never went over the rope.
