Every other week, it bugs the hell out of my wife, I call it the Lumberjack look, she calls is redneck hillbilly...

I usually just trim up the neck and cheeks. I always alternate between a full on beard and then just a chin beard. When I am going the full on beard then I usually don't shave for a while.

for professional reasons, at least twice a week. I kinda have stubbles after a day or so.
when I was working in a more slack environment, I shaved depending on my face style.
when I had a beard, maybe once a week to trim
when I had mutton chops, maybe once every 2 weeks to just keep them neat.
