Yikes. As I've said before, don't use sculpey. In given time (usually about a year), it will start to crack and crumble. And if the figure takes a fall, that's all for the sculpey too. Try Aves Apoxie Sculpt: www.avesstudio.com/Products/Apoxie_Sculpt/apoxie_sculpt.htmlNo, I'm not a spokesperson. But I have been using it since I've started customizing, and it's awesome. It's a 2 part epoxy that air cures, so there's no boiling/baking/etc needed, like with sculpey. But if you still plan on using sculpey, some people boil it. Some use a lighter. If you want to bake it, might I suggest wrapping the figure part with plastic wrap and then sculpting, so the sculpey can come off the figure and that way you won't have to bake the figure too. |
