Not to sound like Mr. Goody Too Good, but i have yet to buy a loose figure. And at this moment, i'm craving this Justin Gabriel elite figure on eBay with a basic head. However, on RSC i want that Kevin Nash elite. Both figures are loose, except Nash doesn't come with anything, but Gabriel does. Should i go for it, or should i just stick to buying fresh, new figs?

The loose figs I have bought from RSC have been pretty crisp. Im guessing they use them for social media pics or the box was too damaged
I was buying boxed at retail, and 7 or 8 more, but they take up so much room. I was worried about resale, but I enjoy displaying them loose far more.
You can save considerable money on the figure and shipping if you buy loose.

MOC older elites are going to be very high mark up at this point and hard to come by. I personally collect loose but keep all my packaging in mint shape in case I ever want to repackage them and get an autograph or something.. I like them displayed much better loose with all accessories rather than in a package unless the package is some special exclusive. I only plan on displaying MOC signed figures. The rest will remain on a loose display.

I only collect Hasbro & LJN loose, because I'm not a millionaire and can't afford them all MOC.
I just started Mattels and just have around a dozen MOC. I could see myself possibly opening them up if I buy a few of those glass cases from IKEA and figure stands.
Until then, I'll just keep them MOC because I have nowhere to display them.

Right now Loose vs. MIB are very major gulfs. Later, who knows? I am in a similar boat, I'm trying to fill in the gaps on older elites. I use the zoom feature and pore over photographs on eBay of the loose figures, scanning for imperfections. Then I click buy and hope to hell they packed them well enough to not scuff. I have had figures suffer minor paint loss shipping loose. That is a risk you have to take when the difference in price can be over 30 dollars.

If youre collecting because you want to keep them then loose is the way to go and rsc loose figs are great. I never understood keeping them in the box if you werent planning on resale. Boxes take up so much room and dont show off the real figure.

I bought RSC exclusive Bret loose and it had loose ankles. I had to buy new boots from that one guy on here off ebay. Just saying.

Never had a problem with figures from Ringside -- other than the RSC exclusive Hitman (looks like his plastic jacket stained his shoulders.

I bought a loose DM Ricky Steamboat off of RSC and I was incredibly pleased! I open my figures anyway, so to be able to save a few bucks like that was great.

If you buy from RSC, the loose figures are brand new. eBay is a different story though.

I'm a MOC guy myself, but sometimes there are figures I know I will not want to sell for a long time or want for myself. Those kinds I buy loose or take out of the package. I bought Royal Rumble 2010 Punk loose and just got the RSC Bret Hart loose, because the MOC price is so high now

Only probably I've had buying loose from RSC was Macho King's scepter was bent, but once I put it in his hand I can't tell, so it worked out. I've bought loose on ebay and that's been less that perfect, but still no real problems.
I like buying on card, because I like the card backs. But if it gets me the figure at a significantly lower price, I'll go loose.

I have yet to have a problem with any loose orders from RSC. I open all my figures anyhow, so I wish I would have bought more loose figs from them.
