Yeah I think it was a impulse things that Cena did. If they were going to go that route, you know they would have done that in the ring, then show it 1000 times on instant replay, then promote it on the app, then show the replay again, then mention the app, then have it "trend" on Twitter, then mention the app, did you know the WWE has an app? Then cut to a promo.

As soon as the titles were unified, I thought the Big Gold belt should be retired and handed to Ric Flair. I was expecting a bigger moment such as a ceremony of some sort. It wasn't really clear what was going on last night.

They're gonna need to replace the current belt soon anyway because of the new logo. I'm thinking maybe next week we see a brand new belt.

I too prefer the Big Gold belt over the WWE Title but, WWE is not going to move forward with a belt that most people recognize as a WCW Championship over one that people recognize as the WWE Championship.
Also I hope that they move forward with one belt from here on out. No one besides Orton has looked good carrying two titles. He at least made a proper entrance with them where they looked equal. Wearing one around the waist and one over the shoulder like Bryan looked silly, and I dare not embark on the ridiculousness that is Cena carrying them strapped together around his neck.

I really hope they do a whole new design, something classy and with heavy influence from the winged eagle/big eagle/undisputed belts. I'll be pretty bummed if it's just an updated big logo.

They just introduced this new title belt. If it were to change, it'll be just with the new logo on it. Like it or not, we are stuck with it for a long, long, long, time.

It’s retired. Let it go. This is the WWE were talking about. Anything can happen. I’m surprised the Big Gold lasted this long after TLC 2013. They could simply never mention it again. Go to the WWE’s website and click SuperStars and tell me how many Belts you see under John Cena’s name and picture.

Yeah, technically the World title is completely defunct now, and the lineage is continuing from the WWE title. If you check out the title history on WWE's website, the last World champion was Cena in Dec 2013, meanwhile the WWE title's history has been updated since TLC. Probably the end of the big gold belt as a trophy now
